    It’s astonishing how it looks just like the one from the game, I wonder what Sokolov would think about it.

      Maybe good enough to trade for a portrait 🙂

    Didn't even know you COULD bribe Sokolov with something from Piero. It feels like every other day I discover something new about these games.

      If you pick the bribe dialogue option it is mentioned and a marker appears over Piero, hope this helps :)

    I'm glad that Dishonored is still getting attention even 12 years later. Very tempted to try making this myself. Earned my sub. :)

      I just gave Dishonored another playthrough and started a new Dishonored 2 game (as Emily). I sure with they would continue the series. There is SO much they can do with the game. I was hoping they would do something with Morley & Tyvia or maybe even Pandesia.

    There’s something funny about “whale bile is just too gross to eat. Anyway, here’s some fish liver juice instead” lol

    I think the decanter glass for the King Street Brandy in game is actually called a ships decanter if you wanted to know.

      true, but saffron has a VERY subtle taste and wouldn't affect the overall product very much.

    Great video man. I have a suggestion for a video and it's on the academy of natural philosophy. Referenced in the games, but would love to hear its story and practices. Keep up the quality content.

    • @ericlewisauthor
      @ericlewisauthor  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks so much. I'd love to do a video on the academy, I just wonder whether there's enough lore available. I'll certainly see what I can put together though!

    Loved this video, I was curious, where did you acquire the dishonored props, the brass lantern and others are amazing and I’d love to add it to my collection. Also I love the dedication to being as lore accurate as possible, when you pulled up the chemical equation to find a alternative to whale oil I was astonished, great content as always!

    • @ericlewisauthor
      @ericlewisauthor  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you very much! I made the lantern just from brass foil scraps and a candle hurricane holder. The others I made out of bits and pieces. I did a blog post on the mana potion here:
      ericlewis.ink/pieros-spiritual-remedy/
      and the rune:

    Pretty cool! Ever try the cocktail that's on the blackboards in the second game? It's pretty good, though boring compared to this

    • @ericlewisauthor
      @ericlewisauthor  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yep! I did a Reddit post on it once, but I think I must've deleted it long ago. I find it's best using Old Tom style gin, and it's better I think using brown sugar syrup instead of solid sugar.

    I can see why King Street Brandy would be popular among the elite/connoisseurs. These people have terrible taste. They eat brined Hagfish and jellied eels.
