Lomu's try where he just steam-rollered through the English defence with Mike Catt being made to look like a rag doll has to be at the top. One of the most memorable tries in Rugby history. What a fantastic player he was.

The best part of it was that truck was so wantonly unnecessary; if he gives it to the fullback, he's in no worries, but evidently Lomu woke up and decided to actively seek conflict that day.

As a Bok supporter that loss still hurts but when I see the Japanese crowd and how they lost it I can't be too upset, they deserved the win and it meant a lot. They ended up hosting an incredible RWC in 2019 which was very special for us. So it feels full circle.

Tuilagi's pick and drive was unforgettable because of the context of the game, opposition etc, but as a try in itself was unremarkable.
Lomu's try was far more significant in that for me it symbolised the end of amateurism and the beginning of the professional era. And it was a far better try, unless you're Mike Catt.

One of the most brilliant but underrated tries was David Campese in the '91 semi-final v New Zealand. From a breakdown about 12 m from the NZ tryline just in from his sideline, Campo came off his wing and ran across field, taking a pass from Lynagh and heading for the opposite corner with the ball under his left arm. Just as he got to his nemesis John Kirwan just out from the tryline, Campo shifted the ball to his right arm, slighty hestitated his stride and accelerated on the same line he was running. Kirwan was completely fooled thinking that Campo was going to step off his left foot and TURNED HIS BACK ON THE PLAY while Campo accelerated straight past him to score. This was so subtle yet so brilliant I am surprised it has never attracted the notice it deserved. Only Campese could have conceived, let alone scored this.

Just by default, the only try ever scored in a final, MUST be the nr 1.

I'm sure you can edit this video and include the Mapimpi try from 2019 finals.

I can think of 10 more memorable World Cup tries than these - one by John Kirwan and nine by Jonah Lomu.

Japan v SA and the Lomu try for me are first =. Eales drop goal to win WC also etched in memory.

Some good tries there but i thought John Kirwans try against Italy in 87 should have made the list

Wales' try vs England in 2003 was better than Shane Williams vs Fiji.

Once again, why you don´t include Argentina in your selection? And don´t ask wich ones I recomend, because you should know already

I remember they scored a few exceptional tries in the 2007 World Cup. What a wonderful side they were. If I remember correctly they beat France twice in that tournament. As a Springbok supporter I remember how stressed I was before the semi-final started. They were so fast and fluid. If they weren't playing against the Boks I would have been shouting for them that day.

What is the Tuilagi pick n' go try doing here? Did an English make this compilation? But tbf Jason Robinson was pure class, he looks like he is playing on a different pitch.

You could've added Lomu vs England 99 and Lomu vs France x2 in 99
