Watching that last one, I will never forget how nervous I was during that RWC final as an England fan.
I had grown up with England badly underperforming in all our major sports way beyond the point where it was a joke. We were just rubbish at everything.
Then, slowly over five or six years, I watched closely as we assembled a rugby team which not only had some decent players, but had several genuinely world class match winners AND a talismanic captain AND an unbelievably driven coach. England got used to winning, often hammered the celtic nations, set an unprecedented winning streak against France and South Africa and beat NZ and Australia in their own backyards in the same week.
Suddenly, as an English sports fan I was in completely unchartered territory and waaaay outside my comfort zone. My team were favourites to win RWC 2003, it was ours to lose we were told. The road to the final was not without a few dramas but England were worthy finalists.
The final itself for me was torture. I paced up and down our living room, chain smoking for the entire match. I was bleary eyed and on edge (it was a 9am kickoff for the UK) and wracked with nerves to the point of feeling physically sick. I almost, ALMOST couldn't watch the match at all. In extra time I came close to switching off the TV altogether and just going out for a walk somewhere.
But I didn't. I was still there when Jonny's drop goal went over and then Mike Tindall booted the ball into the stand to bring an end to it all.
I remember, with absolutely clarity, just collapsing into an armchair and saying 'Thank f**k for that!"
There were medals and a trophy and interviews and bus tours and news reports afterwards but I knew that few hours were the peak of my sport watching life and that nothing in sport from that point on would mean as much.

I think he should have gone back to scrum half as soon as Edwards moved on. He'd have been even better there and might have stayed in League in a 7 shirt. I grew up watching Jason Robinson destroy my team (Leeds RL as they were then) for Wigan. To see his pace and step in the flesh as an aspiring rugby player was inspiring. He was one of the few who dominated in both codes. A truly amazing player

I don't know about Englands greatest ever winger, in my book he was the worlds greatest winger. Very underrated as he just got on and played the game. I recall that in one (international I believe) match he broke his finger but didn't tell anyone as he didn't want to be taken off. He is a player that I still compare all players to. A true legend.

Absolutely explosive acceleration, and incredible balance. He was the most dynamic runner on a rugby field I've ever seen. It would be hard to leave him out of an all-time XV. Imagine having Jonah Lomu on the left wing and Jason Robinson on the right wing....
As an England fan, it was magical to watch him play, we've had some really good wingers before and since, but none better.

Was the greatest in any position he played, as wasn't always on the wing! One of the best wingers and fullbacks ever! On any team! What winds me up, every time it happens, is when TH-camrs do GOAT trys, runs and assists and the never bother putting any of Robinson's ones in! Like they forgot that these are probably better and faster than today's players!
