I like this new lore for Arty's ladder cope. Also, I know it's not at all feasible or probably possible, but I would love a sort of Criterion Collection of the most important/best/paradigm shift/etc, of Brood War games cast. Given how replays are cast now, I'm sure it's not possible, but a man can have dreams.
What is ladder for - experiment and practice. Winning in the ladder is not important. *Loses to a player playing an abnormal build order and then rages how bad the opponent is.
Also Flash is somehow the only one experimenting and not caring about winning while Bisu is here grinding his tournament builds for ladder points trying to win any way possible.

I don't know, I'm not so sure that Flash likes all of these experimental losses being signalboosted and scrutinized like this. There's a reason we only found out it was him due to RJB fingerprinting him (I think it was him) and word-through-the-grapevine.
This build is just not doing it for Flash. Yeah there was a bit of harass from Bisu early game but nothing huge, and yet Flash's macro got hopelessly behind even though there were no sizable exchanges between them.
I really think he is limit testing and exploring. These are all from the same set of games like, a month ago. Wish that Arty would do more games per day to get caught up, I want to see how he's doing a couple weeks later. Flash had a set against a Protoss recently where they spoke back-and-forth in chat about builds and strategy and he seemed to be taking notes.
yeah it's only ladder so he's probably just testing. But I do think it's a bad build and he needs to change to something else because testing this doesn't seem to be worthwhile. His current build is trying to get every possible tech/upgrade all at once while also expanding.. like yo Flash I know you're God but you need some actual units if you're going to live against a decent protoss

I know the whole point for these recent games is to focus on Flash, but I’m glad to see more Bisu games. Bigger fan of Bisu than Flash. I can see Flash pioneering a way for TvP to be played so that 3rd bases can be taken far earlier than the way it is before. Keep in mind Flash was also the one that was being crazy going 14 CC-first for a long long time and getting meme-d on before. That was before he found a way to expand safely and still being greedy and then became the true macro machine beast he is known for today.
Thank you for casting. Seems like Flash could benefit from incorporating some early game pressure. Delaying mines and speed allows Protoss to be super greedy. Also non-buildable terrain makes it hard to place defensive supply depots to hold 3rd with minimal units which is why upgrade terran worked on other maps.
I'd like to see Terran start incorporating SCV's into their battle comp. Like meat shields/in field support, and have a min of 1 or 2 per siege tank. They can repair and help body block, which might be the key to keeping siege tanks around a bit longer. (ie. Terran are A-movers when it comes to siege tanks. Like Russians...). I have one ask for Flash, and that's for him to make it happen. SCV armies, coming right up.
You really really need those SCVs for income. Two SCVs on the battlefield are two SCVs not at home farming up vultures. Vultures are INFINITELY more value for bodyblocking, killing zealots before your tanks splash each other to death, laying mines, harassing during towntime, scouting for extra bases, etc etc. Vultures are the most cost-effective unit and important backbone in TvP. Sometimes you do see 1 or 2 SCVs out there for repairs or throwing down Missile Turrets, but they definitely aren't there for fighting or soaking up damage.
Yeah, historically what I have seen from flash sense Remastered came out is that he is a TERRIFYING Master of Many Builds... and he will bring them out almost at random or when its optimal and rip your face off. So I think he's just messing around with Upgrade Terrain to figure out where he can make it work and WHY. Naturally the insights he gains he will keep to himself. And we get to sit there watching ASL wonder why here with this exactly. I am still waiting on Marine, Medic, Goliath again vs Zerg. Its not even his build but just throws it out there...
I get the feeling with some of these Flash games that he's trying to figure out how valuable what he already knows still might be. Basically, hes asking himself if he just needs to polish up his previous builds, or go to the trouble of a full teardown and start from scratch, so to speak.

I still want to see some Mind inspired play with this upgrade terrian where you go heavy vulture with mines and a drop ship with 2 tanks. Roam with the vultures... like 12 of them... find and isolate / kill nexus spam with vault tank. Or at least the threat of it. Might be smoking something on that idea though. Hard to say.

Being down 50 supply right after a very productive drop. I just don’t think he’ll be able to make this style work. I think the early reavers could have done even more as well, but in all these games it feels like he is completely at the mercy of the Protoss player

What if terran built 2nd CC in main, made a bunch of scvs before taking natural? Would still get scv boost and have much easier time to defend one base than two?? 🤔
I've been thinking about it lately as well, 1 wraith would at least force the Protoss to adapt and start bringing a dragoon with the reaver drop, and even then you are probably going to get that shuttle. Plus you do not need any special tech to do the wraith so it is not a large opportunity cost (if you have the money then it lets you make another tank when you'd normally be making a goliath, even.)
Every TvP game, there will be that 1 Probe who will be bragging to his friends about how he the only one in all 5 bases that got 1 kill out of the scouting SCV. 😎

You know you watched too many BW games in a row, when Artosis at the end of the video says "we got one more guys" and your brain gets irritated on the word "guys", because it thinks that it should be "geyser"
More turrets like playing TvZ instead of the standard zoning turrets or relying solely on goliath could force the issue of commitment to shuttle play. Protoss players have gotten too good at shuttle play and terran players have been too stubborn. I don't see how a couple more turrets to force a better trade can't done optimal within reason on 2 fact.
In all of Flash's new ladder games, he almost never uses drops. In his pro games, he used drops very often. It looks like he's testing certain types of builds and play styles.

it's definitely hard to get everything when you cast, that's for sure. that's why there are usually 2 casters, plus a third person doing the camera.
