The official video has over 750 million views. A lot of people have covered the song since it first came out in 1965. Disturbed's version is the only one that Paul Simon put a link to on his social media pages. I've lost count of the number of reactions I've watched. Yes its a totally new composition by Igor Krutoy who composed this vocalise, no lyrics, at the request of Dimash who asked him to compose music for him for a brand new Ave Maria, Dimash likes choral music, and this gorgeous vocalise is the result of this latest collaboration of two genius musicians, Masters of their crafts. 💖

If I'm not mistaken, this “Ave Maria” by composer and conductor Igor Krutoy is a work in vocalize format, completely unpublished, although it seems to be a variation of the initial theme (not the introduction but the singing part) of the melody by Schubert adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore just as three initial notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note (From B4, A4 D #4 C #4 and B4 to G #4, G4, G4, D #5): Like a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (from dark to light)! It also seems to refer to the Russian V. Vavilov's version of "Ave Maria" (wrongly credited to Caccine) and work by JS Bach - Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, with arrangements by Gounod, which Maetro Igor Krutoy has a predilection for!

The first time I viewed this, from the moment I saw Dimash at the mic, moving slowly to the mic and bowing his head, eyes closed, something transcendent coming thru his body and face.....and then.....that first tone…….my eyes filled with tears......thru the entire piece tears.....and each time I've watched again…..the sheer etherial sublime heavenly beauty of his sound coupled with emotions of hope and compassion…….Even the choir is applauding at the end. I think it’s more than the “vocals” he is using that is so touching but the resonant beauty and the heart centered feeling of those vocals that is gripping and so moving….his singing radiates a light out over the world bringing much needed… warmth.....healing......comfort……radiance ……Light..…….. 🧚♂

This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever listened to, and only Dimash's voice could evoke such a profound emotional response in me. This rendition touches the very core of my soul. I have watched this performance numerous times already since it premiered and I am moved to tears the moment I hear the first note sung by Dimash's angelic voice. This is a vocalise interpretation of the opening vocals of Schubert's “Ave Maria”. Igor Krutoy (on piano) composed this rendition for Dimash; it is not a cover. The piece uses only three bars from the original composition and changes the fourth note to a higher note. Someone explained that Dimash called Igor Krutoy with an idea for a brand new interpretation of Ave Maria and asked him to compose the music. Dimash is said to love Gregorian choral music which is where he got the inspiration. Igor composed the music, after which Dimash conceived these exquisite vocals. Someone else likened it to “a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (dark to light)!” The last note Diamsh sings is known as "Messa di Voce", the singing of a gradual crescendo and decrescendo on a long sustained note. It is considered one of the most difficult vocal exercises and voice experts regard it as the ultimate test for any singer, a skill even the most experienced vocalists rarely ever master. Sometimes, no words are more meaningful and more captivating. I too shed tears when I heard this vocalization. Initially, I thought it was just the intro... the ahs. But it's totally wordless till the end... but so beautiful. An angel was singing and it was so mesmerizing. Thanks for your reaction.
I am not a coach neither a singer but did he used a coloratura soprano techniq for 4 minutes long ,and the last note was crazy in itself. This one i know it's a italian techniq called messa di voce, at high pitch ,only that is crazy dificulte. Phenomenal.

If I'm not mistaken, this “Ave Maria” by composer and conductor Igor Krutoy is a work in vocalize format, completely unpublished, although it seems to be a variation of the initial theme (not the introduction but the singing part) of the melody by Schubert adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore just as three initial notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note (From B4, A4 D #4 C #4 and B4 to G #4, G4, G4, D #5): Like a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (from dark to light)! It also seems to refer to the Russian V. Vavilov's version of "Ave Maria" (wrongly credited to Caccine) and work by JS Bach - Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, with arrangements by Gounod, which Maetro Igor Krutoy has a predilection for!

The clouds, his eyes, the choir, starting a cappella, his face before he starts, the purity of sound, absolutely Divine sound from his soul. The first time I viewed this, from the moment I saw Dimash at the mic, moving slowly to the mic and bowing his head, eyes closed, something transcendent coming thru his body and face.....and then.....that first tone…….my eyes filled with tears......thru the entire piece tears.....and each time I've watched again…..the sheer etherial sublime heavenly beauty of his sound coupled with emotions of hope and compassion…….Even the choir is applauding at the end. I think it’s more than the “vocals” he is using that is so touching but the resonant beauty and the heart centered feeling of those vocals that is gripping and so moving….his singing radiates a light out over the world bringing much needed… warmth.....healing......comfort……radiance ……Light..…….. 🧚♂
What a beautiful, genuine, and heartfelt reaction. This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever listened to, and only Dimash's voice could evoke such a profound emotional response in me. This rendition touches the very core of my soul. I have watched this performance numerous times already since it premiered and I am moved to tears the moment I hear the first note sung by Dimash's angelic voice.
This is a vocalise interpretation of the opening vocals of Schubert's “Ave Maria”. Igor Krutoy (on piano) composed this rendition for Dimash; it is not a cover. The piece uses only three bars from the original composition and changes the fourth note to a higher note.
Someone explained that Dimash called Igor Krutoy with an idea for a brand new interpretation of Ave Maria and asked him to compose the music. Dimash is said to love Gregorian choral music which is where he got the inspiration. Igor composed the music, after which Dimash conceived these exquisite vocals. Someone else likened it to “a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (dark to light)!”
The last note Diamsh sings is known as "Messa di Voce", the singing of a gradual crescendo and decrescendo on a long sustained note. It is considered one of the most difficult vocal exercises and voice experts regard it as the ultimate test for any singer, a skill even the most experienced vocalists rarely ever master.
There are at least 11 other compositions titled "Ave Maria" and over 40 different renditions of these versions. The version most people are likely familiar with is Schubert's 1825 composition or the 1853 Gounod composition, based on a famous Bach keyboard prelude written 137 years earlier. *This is the famous composition of Ave Maria misattributed to G. Caccini (1551-1618). It was actually composed by Russian composer Vladimir Vavilov in the early 1970s. He was forced to attribute most of his music to someone other than himself because any religious composition at that time, especially one invoking the Virgin Mary, was criminal under the communist dictatorship governing the Soviet Union.

I am not a coach neither a singer but did he used a coloratura soprano techniq for 4 minutes long ,and the last note was crazy in itself. This one i know it's a italian techniq called messa di voce, at high pitch ,only that is crazy dificulte. Phenomenal.
