We really need a new Sailor Moon Beat'em'up or Fighting game since Sailor Moon Crystal came out, they used to have a tone of them back in the day. And one the classic Sailor Moon fighting games popular enough get regular tournaments still today. Beat'em'up game are on the raise again and to me the Sailor Moon Beat'em'up game is one of those weird licensed classics like TMNT and Simpsons that's really good.

@reifuTD, yes, we do, I so agree wholeheartedly! I’ve been watching Sailor Moon since I was 15-years-old and when Toonami came on television on Cartoon Network. I was dying for a Sailor Moon fighting-kinda-game of some kind for the PlayStation game console. And so far, there hasn’t been ever since this came out for the Super Nintendo game console. If they ever remake this for whatever game systems that’s currently out there in the 21st century, I’ll probably be one of the first people to purchase it.
As much as I want a new "Sailor Moon" beat up/belt scroll action game, so many concerns for md keep rising up. Who'll make it? (Arc has done it before, and Bandai has published multiple.) Do we add every soldier? Do we make it a real challenging game like the old days or an easy game? Do we start over by going up to just Beryl and the Heavenly Emperors? What changes will be applied? (I'd be okay with a Rocksteady-Bebop team up boss battle seeing that Touei did also work on "Ninja Turtles" once upon a time.) I want to make sure the new game's done right.

This iteration of Sailor Moon is also one of the few times the Sega Genesis version is the *CLEAR SUPERIOR:* Better music and stage designs, not to mention bigger sprites.
Oh yes, the Genny version ran circles around this. The music was superior, the sprites and animation were smooth and holy crap, the levels flowed better too. There were plenty of instances where the Genny version of a game was superior in every aspect and vice versa, both systems had their winners and losers.
I remember playing the Japanese ROM via an emulator on an old Pentium 166 back in the late 90's. It ran like ass and the sound was off kilter but damn was it a good time. The Genny version is better but overall this was an average brawler.
