well, chibimoon is real young. though saturn is over all better, but both look like ass. Why was 1 different though? chibi moon was different in both, why?
That's deliberate. Chibimoon is a small child. The others are teenagers. She shouldn't be as tall as she is in the Saturn version. My guess it that the PSX version came out later and they corrected it.
Man, as much as I'm a Nintendo/Sony fan, Sailor Moon overall seems to just fit a lot better as a Sega series, doesn't it? ^^; Which is funny because I remember the whole transformation music reminding me of the Sega voice, and Haruka being a racecar driver made me think of a Sega racing game with her in it for some reason. :p
This game won't keep players away from the likes of X-Men vs. Street Fighter or Vampire Savior but still doesn't seem too bad and well, it's Sailor Moon after all! Saturn version seems the best, as often with fighting games, not to mention the better controller.
I grew up playing the PlayStation version of this game - The only edge I think it's got over the Saturn is the quality of the sound bites (the vocals seem a little bit-crushed in the Saturn), but everything else is far and away in favor of the Saturn port. Far far superior. Also, that Chibimoon sweep kick triggered memories of frustrating matches with cheap Chibimoon AI. Not a brilliant game, but I loved playing it as a kid.
One of those generic anime fighting games from 90s. But psx version has a very weird changes, no anime scenes, longer loading time and worst graphics. Specially the backgrounds, in psx are atrocious

Why no FMV cutscenes in PSX version??? Maybe, the best thing of the package (for a fan, I suppose the main if not the only target of this game) and they left it out.
I don't understand how Sailor Chibimoon is taller and at the same height as her mother and Sailor Mercury? Good thing the PlayStation version got Sailor Chibimoon at the correct height since that was her actual height in the manga and anime. But, why did both versions have all completely different stages by the way?

The Saturn version is better. I like the back round from the ps version but the details on saturn are better. The back rounds and animation are better. Even as Helios appears when Chibi Usa summons him are different. In the Saturn version he comes galloping. I just love the Saturn version better. Chibi Moon is a more adorable sprite on the ps version though.

Pelo que percebi a versão de Saturno só é inferior na resolução de vídeo em relação a versão de Playstaion, Mesmo com isso a do saturno é bem melhor com cutscenes a mais e um som melhor que a versão do Playstation
yes but most gamers are saying... GOTY version is the best? That's what they would say. But the Castlevania part is worse with the long load time just to check the map... horrid. It's not always best when a game is a bit bigger. If there is too much load times and a bit downgraded graphics it won't win for me
Well, the PlayStation port was the original. They were both half-assed. Comparing it to the 3DO's port that came a year before, not to mention the SNES games, these suck.
From what I've seen, Saturn wins in 3D games as well. Especially in the 3D games that were made *FOR* the Saturn, not made for the PS1 and then ported to the Saturn crappily.
Sailor Chibi Moon grew a lot in Saturn Version, lol! But Saturn seems better here. Interesting how Saturn can hold his own in 2D and 2.5D games against the psx.
The Sega Saturn version is the better port, but that's not saying much when the game is still awful, the only way this game can be considered fun is if you turn the console off after the cut-scene and stick another 2D fighter in it.
Da série Sailor Moon os dois consoles pecavam muito, com esse 3D que eles empurravam na luta, mas entre esses dois, a versão do SEGA Saturn foi melhor.
To be honest the PS1 port was released on March 1996 and the Saturn version of released in November 1996. Please keep in mind that the Saturn was an updated port and they had to change all those things, despite the Saturn being hard to develop for, it took a few months to develop for it, probably the reason why PlayStation version didn’t have the FMV opening cutscene was probably due to the developers forgot to at it there, the Saturn version had the anime FMV because it was a updated port, you might not agree with me but that’s just my perspective, The Saturn was good with 2D and 3D but most 3D were bad, due to a un-friendly chip they used, but anyways, the Saturn wins🏆

This looks like a rather mediocre and forgettable fighter. Would favor the Saturn version obviously. Quicker load times, more appealing menu designs, and the FMV intro beats the scrolling text of the PS1 version.
So... is Chibiusa supposed to be child sized like she normally is, or in her body size swap form like in that one she gets taller and Usagi gets tiny? o.o Because seeing her as tall as Mercury in the Sega Saturn version but like half her size or so in the Playstation version is weird as hell, LOL. yes. look how sailor moon looks, the 2d picture, it looks way better on saturn. more details and better looking. ps1 bad quality of 2d picture that's for sure
The Sega Saturn is way better, it is nostalgic, has interesting anime cutscenes, loads quickly, the characters are normally bigger, the music is beautiful, and the graphics are spot-on. The Playstation is not nostalgic, it has no anime scenes, loads slowly, Chibiusa is as tall as a 4 year old (even though she is 7-10), there is no music but how lazy were the people when there are music scenes, and the graphics are ugly.
The JPEG looking backgrounds on the PlayStation version are just horrible. It's like someone watch the anime and just use a cheap Polaroid camera to capture. At least the Saturn version's background looks hands drawn and render.
Ha ha, both versions look like total ass. Stiff animation, bad voice overs, ugly backgrounds and a forgettable soundtrack. You can tell this was produced on a limited budget. The Saturn version definitely has the better presentation hands down though. The menus, backgrounds and presence of cutscenes gives it the edge. However, deciding which version is better is like being forced to vote for either a giant douche or a turd sandwich.
IcedEarthaholic I know that people have different opinions, and i completly respect your's but i actually can't really agree with you. The fact that they completely removed all the cutscenes they worked so hard to animate and voice from the Playstation version (which, considering that the Playstation sold 12 times as many units as the Saturn, is undoubtedly the version most people ended up playing) is quite bizarre. It's also bizarre how big Sailor Chibi Moon is in the Saturn version, as she's the same size as all the other characters, while in the Playstation version her sizing is correct. Strange. But perhaps what's most bizarre of all is just how low quality the game is overall. The animations are god awful, the audio mixing is terrible, and it just looks and sounds like a very amateurish thrown together budget title, like something a couple of self-taught hobbyists threw together at home on their own personal computers in their spare time, and not a professionally made official product. This game came out when Sailor Moon was exploding in popularity all over the world and Toei was making hundreds of millions of dollars from it.
