@@williamboylejr.9098It comes probably from old bad blood between Felder and Frey(they split in 1980 mainly for a fight between them) and when the reunion came it was not anymore a problem of personal issues but it became a problem of money...and Felder probably understood he was getting paid less than the others, so they probably decided to cut him...I think this could be a realistic way why Felder got fired

Travis is too modest. Besides being a kick-ass performer on his own, he accomplished the "when hell freezes over" reunion and we love him for it.

I NEVER KNEW just how gifted he was until I saw a live video of him about 11-12 years ago playing “drift off to dream.” Within the first 20 seconds or so, he hit a lick on the guitar that made go “NO WAY” and it’s all been downhill from there. I’ve always loved some of his songs but as a guitar player, when a singer can do what he does, they become an ARTIST…I have deeper level of respect for them. I saw him in person in 2018. Just him and his guitar. I don’t think he missed a single note and played for over 2 HOURS. ALONE. He is criminally underrated. The Eagles are The Eagles, though. I love them as well.
It was recorded with The Eagles actially playing with him. They even agreed that the cover of the song by TT was probably better than the original. I think he called them up and told them he would like their approval to cover and the record label wanted to do a tribute too, so it was behind the scenes shuffling to make it happen. Started as a money making venture and turned into the greatest Rock reunion ever.

I said to myself, “hell has frozen over” recalling Don Henley’s famous quote. When I saw the clear joy of performance I knew a reunion tour was all but inevitable. Glad I was right…
They said that they never broke up, "they took a 14 year vacation". You can tell that they had SO much fun making this video. Then we were all blessed with the reunion.

with glenns passing the band should have made an offer to travis to become a permanent band member for what ever they would work on. touring or studio work. hes that good and really blends in with their previous work.
He's a bit raucous. Wouldn't blend with the slightly furry vocal quality of the standard Eagle. Ok, true, our blond friend is also reedy and raucous but 2 of that style would overpower the sound.

Excellent cover and video. Weren't the 90’s great?! I was so happy to be able to see them return tot he stage on the Hell Freezes Over Tour JFK Stadium 1994 Sept 10 They are the BEST band of ALL TIME as far as this Canuck-American is concerned.
I loved that this cover album and especially the video of the song brought The Eagles back together. Sadly I was unable to see the original lineup before the passing of Glenn Frey. I can only hope to see the remaining members if they are able to knock out another tour. Great cover and the video just gives me all kinds of nostalgic memories of back in the day.
I was able to take my Dad to see them in the early 2000's. He said it was his first concert and we have cheap seats (relative term even then) but it didn't matter. Felder was out by then but was an awesome show. Dad and I had a fun time. I think he enjoyed seeing me enjoy it. Good times. Love you Dad.

Neither. They were invited to participate in filming of the video after it was recorded by Travis Tritt as part of the “Common Thread” album. Eagles did not participate in the recording of this song.
