Excellent video Colin and a massive thanks for your time and expertise. Great to see the stadium in detail. It’s a shame that the Archibald Leitch iconic pattern isn’t as prevalent as the architect intended on the initial vision, but it’s still a fantastic stadium. It would be good if they salvage some of the original Leitch ironwork from Goodison and hang it in the concourses/bars inside the stadium.
A good 'Classic" Fly-Around CP!
Nice one, Colin.
1) Yes, they have fitted the top 2 missing glass panels of the North Stand window but I couldn't see if they had fitted the very bottom right-hand corner, triangular piece.
2) It looks as though they have managed to finish off the end, irregular-shaped barrel-cladding panels at the outer NW edge.
3) They're getting on with the laying of the old cobble setts along the Nelson Dock between the new black barrier rails and the Nelson Dock Coping Stones (see 7:30 mins).
4) It looks rather as if the high-winds have disrupted the schedule again for the Standing-seam roofing and the regular-shaped sections of barrel-cladding.
5) I thought for a moment you were going to focus in on the seats installed on the central lower section of the Lower Tier of the West Stand, as they're thought to be the alternative 'plush' seats for the Hospitality Lounges attendees (not the VIP ones).
6) Even though seen before, that yellow-painted membrane layer still surprises.
7) At 7:09 mins, the conduit that runs along the ceiling of the Viewing Gallery has been disrupted at the Expansion Gap (where the double steels are).
8) On the South Stand window, it looks now as though only 8 irregular-shaped glass panels remain to be fitted.
9) Yes, those 6 Columnar Elm trees at the north perimeter are the start of what SHOULD be a line of 13 of them. But I guess they can't dig the ArborSystem pit for the other 7 (if still planned) until the traffic allows, as they will extend towards the Stadium NE corner.
10) The water-effect concrete flags are supposed to collectively get darker nearer the East Stand but, up until now, the laid area looks fairly similar.
11) The NE Service tower looks to be about 80% deconstructed.
It’s the first time I have actually captured the sealant at its bright yellow stage so very surprising what colour it turns once dry.
I also completely forgot the tower was starting to be dismantled in my last video so didn’t even think about checking how it is now 🤣
@@cp-overview 😅. Well, in mitigation, you have a few stadium builds with which to keep up to date, so you're unlikely to recall each and every nuance.
We definitely need a pet Peregrine Falcon.
Great video Colin as always, I am still puzzled with regard to the boarder with United Utilities! if the barrier is basically the boarder and the current road access is being handed back that means when the stadium is fully operational all coaches and heavy traffic will be driving over paving..this seems odd as a road surface for heavy vehicles.
Tony, it depends on what you mean by the 'barrier' but, yes, you'd better get used to the idea that vehicles will be travelling on granite setts all around the main stadium site, although not on the other side of the Isolation Bridges.
Also have you seen the thickness of the Granite? Its nothing like what you would use on a driveway at home and they have obviously calculated the weight it needs to handle.
For the life of me i dont understand why something isn't negotiated so Everton could get use of what will be the UU north turret gate on match day to ease congestion. As far as I'm aware UU never used that access point in the past.
Colin any idea why they have used some light grey panels under the North stand access area under the concrete terraces (exterior)?
If you mean what you see central to the screen at 12:14 mins (?), I think you've interpreted the (slightly blue) plastic lamina as being a finished'grey' aluminium panel, which it isn't.
They'll be fitting a complete run of the black/dark-grey aluminium panels along that 'infill' between the North Stand concrete roof and the terracing.
Hi Colin, what happens to the safe standing areas when games get played where standing is not allowed. I believe there are two people per seat space so half of them would not get a ticket?Do we know how it works?
In Dortmund it is 2 people per seat space
It is one person per seat space just like all the other current English stadiums that have rail seats.
Safe standing where more than one person per seat space is not approved yet in this country, hence the 52,000 ish capacity is based on one person per seat space.
@@cp-overview So there will be seats but just locked in the up position?
@@cp-overview so basically if approved at all our capacity will increase drastically
Yes but they are not locked, you can use them as a seat if you wish. All they basically give you is permission to stand rather than stewards telling you to sit down.
They'll need to be locked for safety reasons, either up or down.

Colin, for the uninformed like me can you cover what is meant by ‘rail seats’ we don’t have them down south in Dorchester Town stadium, cheers.
Basically they are just a row of seats with a rail/barrier behind so if you stand up there is no chance you can encroach onto the row in front.
They're slightly more than that Colin, they will be locked upright for safe standing, and can be locked down for other events.

Not sure about that, that link is 5 years old and look nothing like the rail seats in use at other clubs. Old Trafford, Anfield, Stamford Bridge all have them and they are just a barrier with a seat attached.
@DarrenCowzer-cx7ot Rail Seating is being installed - it is not yet permitted to install seats which can be locked in an up or down position.
52,888 capacity. 52,000 disabled spaces by the looks of it 🙄🙄🙄🙄
