Nice one, Colin, and Phil. You must have enjoyed the atmosphere at GP midweek, Phil. I was buzzing and nowhere near the ground.
Some comments:
1) Yes, the gates at the inside edge of the Gate Towers are by default different in construction to those of the wall Cut-throughs. They have the same mesh and steel, though. In addition, the Tower Gates are inside relative to Retractable Bollards that lie just about between the Towers, whereas the Cut-throughs have static bollards inside relative to the mesh gates in the wall.
2) The first 6 of what is meant to be a line of 13 Columnar Elms are ready to be planted north of the Pump House.
3) Yes, the differentials in the colour of the Top Standing-sea roof should even out as all the Aluminium oxidises to the same degree, having been manufactured at different times and rolled up for longer or shorter periods that will have reduced the capacity for the oxygen in the air to get at the surface.
4) Well done for catching the start of the deconstruction of the NE Tower. According the to the latest EFC Official Website Stadium report, the stadium is now fully powered up, so they will be able to use the internal lifts now.
5) The concrete that projects out into the future Water Channel, below the level of the ground in front of the West Terraces is the area that is called the "Lower Promenade".
6) It's like a game of chess moving the pallets of granite setts and concrete flags around as sections get worked on, or finished and curing, whilst maintaining access for large equipment and vehicles. Although there is still a huge area to be laid around all the plazas and that requires a heck of a lot of pallets of material, I wonder if any of them can be seen to be of a different nature, which might reveal if any of them contain "The Everton Way" personalised and Memorial Stones yet.
7) I can only guess that the big surprise that LoR and the Installers Team have jettisoned the priority of the full weight on the roof being completed before they barrel-clad the sides, must be because the sped up action on the mezzanine must be taking priority, within safe working procedures. The extra evidence for my guess is that they have moved the crane and the jig to the SE corner before they've actually finished off the NW Corner edging, non-standard pieces of barrel-cladding.
COYB, let's have the full points against the Bees so that Kevin Thelwell can get his teeth stuck into actioning the plans for next season with some certainty.
And certainty he has 😄
Thanks for your input David
Thanks David. Another great win today. Safe for another season!!!

@@Philtymo Can we now dream to have a season without being on the rack and looking forward to filling this stadium in the EPL in 2025 . . (that's a rhetorical Q, obviously)
The windows for the south stand are on the floor waiting for installation. I think Mr Drone pointed them out during the week.
Back in the day you could rent a soft pad to put on your wooden seat.Unfortunatly we always threw them at the players when we lost.Even when Kendall first came he got pelted
Never knew that, need to happen now those wooden seats ain’t great 😂😂
@@Philtymo if you can enjoy those splinters while there their they will be gone soon
@@Sutty0151 100% and am hoping I get the chance to buy my seat to keep!
@@Philtymo yes lad hopefully they give it too ye mate UTFT
I hate my wooden season ticket seat. Can’t wait for BMD
I think the safe standing for Euro 28 is not an option, they want all seated as far as i know, so 52,888 will be the Euros capacity even if we have approval to have safe standing at Prem games, with expanded capacity.
Correct 👍🏻
Safe standing at present in England means 1 seat space = 1 standing place. An increase in capacity is completely dependent upon a change in regulations.
Enjoyed listening to the conversational formal between Colin and Phil. Would like to hear more
Thanks I have my own channel to
Hi Colin and Phil, great video again. Three things to point out:
1. The "gap" in the West Stand roof I think is to allow access for the contractors. The access to the roof is at the end of the gap on the outside of the West roof.
2. The white strips by the ladders at the front of the West roof are the polycarbonate pieces ready for fixing to the front (you can see the distinctive wave shape), appreciate this may be difficult to pick up on your smaller screen.
3. I think "rail seating" is to be installed in the lower South and lower NE corner (away section), hence the lack of rails as we've seen in other sections. They will presumably have different types of fixing.
Just out of interest I did the Wembley Stadium tour a couple of weeks ago and they use the same rail system in the media room for the press to sit on.
Great video
The front of the south stand, and the corner of the north east stand, has been left for safe standing
Great Vid CP! This is not a criticism, by any means, but I used to like your old-style Minimalist Commentary. The dual commentary format gets a bit too speculative for my taste but this is just my opinion...
Thanks for the reply Mike. Just trying out some new things, views haven't been great recently even down to the point where it was hardly worth coming and on the whole the dual commentary has been well received so have started to mix the 2
I think the concern about the different shades of the roof is down to the new aspect of drones. Before nobody ever saw the roof so weren't concerned
Give it a few months and it will be like all other stadiums , green 🤣🤣
@@cp-overview I would only watch the football and not worry about the different colour of the roof panels. If i wanted to know, i would ask a pigeon.!!!
John: it will even out over time anyway, drones or not. It's down to a natural chemical process: oxidation of aluminium.
Dont think all the scaffold will come down otherwise how do all the ovens, fridges etc get to the upper floors?
I'd imagine there'd be at least one service lift inside, otherwise they'd have to take cladding off the outer wall in order to replace broken equipment some point down the line.
No 'It'll be the best stadium in the Championship comments, this week'? lol
Isn’t it so very quiet this week!
All very very quiet this week after the wheels fell off their bus😂😂
William: too right. It was one of my first thoughts when the final whistle blew yesterday. Let's hope the Ginger Knight and KT can fashion a squad before August that can allow us not to have to read those comments ever again. They'll now be silent for about 4 months but they won't have gone away.
@@davidbadcock2225 if we are midtable next season with no drama of points deduction and away from relegation with 5 games to go it will be much better
@@Philtymo Indeed. I hope that new owners don't do what FM did and think they can immediately introduce sexy football or spend unwittingly to get a boost (Lord knows EFC under FM is itself a classic example of how NOT to do that to the squad. They have to let SD and the current coaching/management structure staff get on with it, unhindered, and see where that gets us with gradual, constant improvement, which means over seasons not a few matches. IF, IF SD and others have a ceiling, let if be discovered over time not with a knee-jerk.
So with the lower South Stand a NE corner being rail seats.Does that mean the capacity will be more than 52,000?
Don’t think so, there is a difference in rail seats and safe standing areas.
Normal rail seats allow for one person to stand in the space of one seat so the capacity would not change.
Safe standing is where perhaps 3 people may stand in the space that 2 seats takes up.
It was speculation rather than it is actually happening.
Capacity will be 52,888 initially, the UK government would need to change the ratio from 1:1 to perhaps 3:2 for standing vs seat spots to expand up to 60,000 plus.
@@cp-overview Yes, Colin.
@@cp-overview Would be nice if the capacity was 60 000
Para cuándo estará listo este estadio?
December 2024, but Everton will finish the season off at Goodison
August 2025
The ladders and supplies on the west roof are the Perspex covering , so Phil was correct 👍🏼
Thanks, was thinking it maybe
Guess who: yes, I'd agree. They look to be the same packages as those that appeared on the North and South Stands, just before they started laying the Polycarbonate.
@@davidbadcock2225 well I’m in good company if you’re agreeing with me David . Thanks mate
