If intel really wants to court me, give me a lower power draw APU that I can actually game on. I live with frequent blackouts and the ability to have my gaming system only have a 50 watt powerdraw is a make or break for me.

Totally depends on what resolution and framerate you want to play at . I am building a 7800x3d build, but using an RTX 4070 because I'll be using a 1080p monitor with 380hz refresh rate. I don't expect to hit 380 frames in gaming, but the combo should be awesome for that resolution. If I ever upgrade to a 1440p monitor then I'll consider a newer/better GPU.

Depends on what budget. For for the most part, I prefer Threadripper for maximum productivity. These beast are the king of productivity, offering up to 3 times 14900K performance.

Having a more powerful cpu with v-cache will allow you to not only have higher fps in general but more stable fps throughout your gameplay. But, you will not notice a significant different between 5800x3d and 7800x3d unless you are playing a CPU-intensive games (i.g., tarkov and star citizen). So, 5800x3d should still do whatever you need.

Depends on the games you are playing, for avg gaming 7800x3d is as fast as 13900/14900 (if not faster) with lower power used and easier to cool.
