    Wow! I made this for dinner and it was super yummy. Swapped out the soy sauce for seafood soy sauce and left out the dang gui and wolfberry. Did egg drop instead sunny side up (less pan to wash). Thank you chef!

    Tried this tonight, but using packet stock instead of the stock cube. It was fragrant and not too strong-tasting. At first it looked like the soup was too much for the 2 of us to finish, but hubby and I kept drinking coz it was yummy, until it was all gone haha. Thanks for an easy and tasty weeknight recipe 😊

      ​@@spicenpans I would like some information about the pot that you are using. I have been cooking for over 20 years, and I have never seen a pot like that with the extra lip and what appears to be almost stoneware on the interior. 🤷🏼‍♂️

      Hi Connie. Yes you can use Knorr chicken powder - about 2 teaspoons of it if I'm not wrong. However, you might want to consider getting some Knorr Chicken Cubes (No Added MSG) in your kitchen for soup dishes because Knorr chicken powder is designed for stir fry dishes.

      Hi Hi Tee. Adding a little sugar to the chicken helps to tenderise it. Adding sugar to the soup helps to give dimension to it so that the flavours is well balanced. Hope this helps. Happy cooking!

      Not everyone was taught by your granny or mummy. My mother would add a bit of sugar to balance flavours. Just because your granny or mummy didn’t do it doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be done.

      @@gfrylives msg is not harmful, it's naturally occurring in most foods, the human body needs it, it's in the human body, even raw diet has msg, it's msg in excess that effects everyone, different ways, can't live without it, I did a thesis on msg, can make your own with tomatoes and mushrooms. Or just grate cheese, I only replied to Maureen why sugar is used, said if didn't want it don't use it??? Stated I use msg?
