Hi everyone, in today's video we will look at an old bead roller.
I bought a bead roller for an ad for this video.
Bead roller as a part of workshop equipment also for do-it-yourselfers.
Bead roller in my recovery form.
Thanks to everyone for sharing. :)
principle of use:
Roll forming, also spelled roll-forming or rollforming, is a type of rolling involving the continuous bending of a long strip of sheet metal (typically coiled steel) into a desired cross-section. The strip passes through sets of rolls mounted on consecutive stands, each set performing only an incremental part of the bend, until the desired cross-section (profile) is obtained. Roll forming is ideal for producing constant-profile parts.
If you have any information, you can share it with others on my Facebook page:

I'm sorry for my bad English, it's not my language.
I'm uploading videos about restoring mechanical things. I'm uploading videos about the restoration of old wooden things. I fix things as best I can. I am self-taught. Therefore, if some procedures are wrong, forgive me. Thank you.
If you like this renewal, share and send :)

The only minor nitpicking - the wooden handle should rotate freely on its axis.
Perfect recovery. Highest level. I watched this video with pleasure.
Thank you. Since I made this machine for myself, I intentionally tightened the handle. I don't like loose handles.
Who thought a bead roller could become a thing of beauty? Is this a workshop or an art gallery? Veradona...The Very Best!
Thanks Thomas for a nice comment. Have a nice day Radek
Concordo. Merece uma galeria só para ele. Um verdadeiro artista.
As usual, awesome job! Of all the things you have taken apart I don’t think I have ever seen so many of those pins that lock the gears onto the shafts (Forgive me for not knowing their names). Beautiful garden by the way!
Thank you Jeff. Have a nice day Radek.
They are called keys.
Graham Parr thank you!
Once again, I appreciate the time and care you put into your restorations! What a fascinating piece... this machine was made when quality was the most important thing, and your results are magnificent! Thank you for posting!
Thank you for the beautiful comment. Have a nice day Radek
Well, It came out absolutely beautiful; Considering that it was electrocuted and boiled in oil; With love of course.
I was very confused for the whole video until the very end as I thought the title said 'Bread Roller'....haha. Excellent as always 🧡
Omfg I did too until I saw this comment halfway through the video 😂
Deena Haha me 2
I'm sorry, Deena, I don't know if the translation was correct
You girls are great :)
@@VeradonaRestoration Hi Veronika.and Radek. You were right and we were dumb! ❤ The translation is perfect!
Brilliant Restoration.
Red painting on main structure and blackening of components was A Great idea. Gives a Fantastic contrast, Great Finish and look
Congratulations
Thank you for your appreciation. Have a nice day Radek.
Wow the new paint colour along with your channel's labels gives this an ultra modern look. I was reading in the description of your video that everything you do in the restorations is self taught, I think what you do is incredible and being self taught you can learn from your mistakes rather than just reproducing the mistakes of another. Yet another amazing restoration.
Thank you so much for Trevor's beautiful comment. I really appreciate it. Have a nice day Radek
I love those old tools. Simple and easy to maintain/repair (usually). Don't need a 300 pages instruction book. Nice job. I like the power supply.
Thank you Michael :)
Ahoj kluci, to vyšlo opravdu dobře, miluji vaše štítky a barevné schéma na něm. Skvělá výzva k uvědomění si levého vlákna, vypadá to, že si toho nevšiml někdo jiný, a z toho vyloučil denní světlo. 🤬.
Good day friends. Thank you for your comment. Greetings and hugs from the Czech Republic Radek and Veronika
I thought the title said BREAD 🍞 roller and I was so confused 😂 it looks beautiful!
I apologize for the translation
Veradona Restoration No you’re fine Radek! its not a translation error, It was because I read the title too fast and the words bead and bread look similar
I'm glad I'm not the only one. Because that's what I just read as well...
Similar to the one I restored, except mine didn't have extra dies!
Very cool ... Now are these still available I have never seen them that small like that perfect for what I need to finish my aluminum paneling
I first started watching you videos over a year ago and I have to say you have really upped your game. The choice of things you restore along with your attention to detail is amazing. The quality of your editing has improved also with a much cleaner and crisper look. Well done.
Thank you so much for watching, beautiful and encouraging comment. Radek
Foto primeiro! Para enviar e-mail: veradona@email.cz
What is the liquid you brush on the metal?
Rust remover, as a prevention
Muchas gracias Edg. Saludos desde la República Checa Radek.
As another restorer says, "from shabby to shiny". You guys have done it again, granted not much call for one of these on a daily basis, outside of motor vehicle repair, but yours is definitely a classic piece of workmanship.
It's only at the end that I realize what a bead roller is for... Fantastic job as always!!!
Thank you very much Samantha :)
Muito bom, restauração perfeita!👏👏🇧🇷
Obrigado

Gracias Carmen :)
Beautiful job as always, never disappointed 😎😎👍👍
Thank you Tom :)
There's a lot to learn in your awesome videos and ending Sunday with a Veradona video it's very very really ok! ciao from Palermo (Italy)
Thank you very much Bartolomeo :) Have a nice day Radek
Loved hearing the birds and seeing your flowers. Loved the restoration, as well.
Thank you very much :) Radek
instead of cutting that tool maybe you could have turned some spacers.
Excellent restoration!
Thank you George :) Have a nice day Radek.
One word: Perfect!
Greetings from Iceland! 🇮🇸
Thank you very much bro :)
Beautiful work as always, better than factory! 👍👍👍
Wow, thanks :)
Brilliant , I’m a sheetmetal worker and remember using these at college 👍🏻
Thank you, finally someone who knows :) Have a nice day Radek
A superb restoration. Excellent color scheme also... WELL DONE!!! 10/10
thank you friend :)
Nice work 👏 and great effort 👌.
Thank you so much Ragi :)
Amazing restoration Done as always 👌

Thumbs up 👍

Thank you very much :)
@@VeradonaRestoration welcome 🙂
Even amazed at how good it looks restored! What kind of paint here that looks so well painted?
Thank you colleague. nitro combination varnish
What a sweet little machine. Works so well! Nice job and thanks for sharing.
Thank you Ben :)
I’ve never seen one of these before. I found it very interesting. Good job on it.
Thank you Chanda :) Have a nice day Radek.
Great video, as always. I would like to see more about making the labels and stickers you put on your projects. Especially the type you put on the pencil sharpener
This is a screen print. I had it made.
Wow...first time I've ever seen blackening done the correct way on a restoration channel. I love the finish my mechanics gets on his sandblasted/heat treated/quenched in oil method but that is just carbonizing and not true blackening. This is the real deal. Wonderful...just wonderful!
Thank you very much :)
Thank you for the demonstration at the end. I wondered what that machine did.
Excelente! Felicitações!
Nice work. It looks better than original. 🙂
Thanks Áine :)
That was so Cool. I had never see a beader machine before. Thank you so much for sharing your Video.
Thanks :)
Exactly the type of tool that should be preserved. I know some tinsmiths who would enjoy it. I would have used it in my studio when I was a jeweler. Still lots of need for 'old fashioned' small hand powered tools in small shops. Thanks.
I thank you Laura :) Radek
as always nicely done. I just wonder what is the hardest you both have done
Thank you Jerka. The hardest thing I ever made was this bike from the very beginning, I made 6 of them: veradona1.rajce.idnes.cz/sp_bike_akce/
Well done again Radek. Another great restoration done with skill and care. I love the colour choices, it looks spectacular now. John
Thank you very much Jon :) Have a nice day Radek.
I’ll bet they don’t make them like that anymore. That’s a beautiful machine
kinda confused why you would use sodium hydroxide in the electrolysis process. I get that it provides the conductivity boost to make the electrolysis more effective however sodium hydroxide is a strong base, meaning it is a strong oxidizing agent - i.e. it turns iron into iron oxide (Fe2O3) i.e. rust. You could have easily used just table salt or lemon juice, citric acid, muriatic acid, etc. and you could have cut off alot of time for your electrolysis process.
I am perplexed by all of the steps you take. If you are going to use a wire brush and abrasives why the degreasing, washing and electrolosis? And what is the purpose of filling and sanding a machine that was never filled and sanded by the original manufacturer? You simply end up with a machine that is over-restored. It is seems like eating prime rib on wheat bread. Your restorations are alway well done but sometimes how you arrive at the finished product is not well thought through. It appears that you are just restoring stuff for TH-cam that will never be used. ??
Superb, one of your best quality restoration yet, well done 👍
Thank you very much Matt :)
Awesome 9 3/4 out 10, I’m thinking you glued the handle to it’s shaft. Great addition to any shop!👍
Thank you, yes I don't like it when the handle turns :)
Excellent restore.
Thank you Charles :) Have a nice day Radek.
Hi is that your wife doing all that chirping🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Restauracion perfecta.
Muchas gracias Nuevo :) Radek
Using a rotating steel brush is much quicker, all the other methods are a waste of time and energy when you end up grinding anyway.
15:30 The filler is supposed to be applied to bare metal, not to primer. If the primer comes off, the filler will come off right with it, if it doesn't peel of the primer itself first. It's not designed to bond to painted surfaces.
How should the cables be connected and at what voltage should they be set?
So first of all: great job, as always. Was really pleased to see a new video from you today!
The cut to flowers was nice (especially right after viewing something gross) but it had more of a "loading screen" vibe. Weaving it more into the restoration process itself could probably help. Check LADB Restoration to see how they do it. They seem to have figured it out.
Also - loved the "magical welding", I always appreciate ways you're trying to save our eyes from welding light! I watch restoration videos before falling asleep, cause they're so satisfying and calming. Being protected from a bright light is precisely what I need :D
Thanks for the nice comment Irys. Have a nice day Radek
I saw bread roller until the very end of the video when I saw no carbs hanging around I'm such a dolt
Oh that kind of bead, I initially thought it were for beads like in a necklace. Nice though.
I always love watching your channel. Great work, as usual. Have a great day. 👍👍👍👍👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Thank you, have a nice day too Cathy. Radek and Veronika
Excellent work, well done !
Thank you Joe :)
The chirping birds are in the video, not outside your house. You're welcome
WHY do you hold fingers so close to the chuck? You don't love your subscribers?
I was hoping you were gonna leave it a natural/gunmetal black, but the colors you chose are fantastic. Looks amazing, thx for another great video.
Thank you Ali :)
Muy bello trabajo. Que paciencia y detalle 👍
Thank you very much Juan Carlos :) Have a nice day Radek.
Excellent restoration and what a lucky find!
Thank you Billy :) Radek
It's funny how at first this tool looks very retro and after with the red and black color choice it gives a modern style.
Really nice to hear the birds singing in the background, peaceful.
Thank you Solo :) Radek
I thought this was a 1974 contraption! I'm judging by the sound of music that's being played. This educational video has still revamped/recalled or resurrected my memory about the classic days of Branciforte Jr. High School. 🏫
👉👍😉
Looks awesome! Not sure what you could use that for even after the demonstration but it looks amazing!
Thank you Mark :) Radek
Excellent restoration Radek!...perfect use of the metal lathe for more than just metal!!
Thank you Lee :) Radek
Uno de los mejores restauradores que visto. Saludos desde Costa Rica
Muchas gracias Julio.
That's an Awesome Restoration Job. May I pick your brain for a minute and ask you if you would possibly know how to get the lower Die off of a vintage Niagara/Pexto 544 Large Burring Machine ? Unlike the Top Die, the lower Die doesn't have a hole on each side of the center hole on the lower Die. Thanks in advance for your valuable time.
Well, I'm not sure if you'd win with my mosk...Lol Unfortunately, I don't know this machine, sorry
Your videos are very useful for restorers because they show the value of being methodical, taking care and carrying out the various tasks care properly. Thank you for the valuable lessons you teach your viewers. Smiles and respect from the USA.
Many thanks to Pat for the beautiful comment. I really appreciate it. Have a nice day from the Czech Republic Radek.
Superb restoration ! Hello from Canada 🇨🇦😊
Thank you :)
@@VeradonaRestoration your welcome !
Excellent restoration Radek, happy fathers day, son number 1 made me a steak dinner, son number 2 bought me a bottle of rum, I hope you and Veronika and your daughter had a great day.
Wow, you have good sons. Mine came that he wants to contribute to the repair of the car :) Have a nice day Radek and Veronika :)
You sure do come across some really cool stuff to restore, keep up the excellent work
Thnak you John :)
Aw man, when the title said Bead Roller, I thought it was a device for making metal beads for jewelry. Oh well, superb job of restoring it, whatever its for.
Thank you, the translation of this machine was more complicated than the renovation. Lol
👍
Well. I read it as bread roller. So guess who was extra disappointed...
It's for making a "bead" or strengthening rib in a peice of sheet metal. I used one many times when I worked for a company that made storage tanks.
You really know that you are doing when it comes to restoration, it is a pleasure to watch you working and fun too , thanks for sharing
Thank you very much Rami :) Radek
