modeling, rigging, texturing, animation, lighting, compositing, editing... booo.. you single handedly did the full production house process... man hat's off to you.. and specially that compositing part! holy moly! I didn't even know how to open nuke! 🙇
This is really amazing, I am diving into Blender after years of 3ds max (I actually studied game & vfx design) - they way you handled the project brings me back to those days. Really professional work!
Nice one Alfie! Loving the end result 👌🏻 Would’ve loved to have seen more on the live stream (not that chat isn’t useful) but would be cool just sitting and watching with no chat. Maybe an idea for future streams?
Thanks a lot! Yeah I never intend to read the chat as much as I do. Its just hard to ignore 🤣 I get your point but there's not much point being live if you don't respond to what people are saying. Might as well just be a video at that point! I'll have a think though
1. what's the colorspace you're using inside blender? AGX or ACES? 2. Which colorspace workflow you had in nuke? 3. Why rendered motion blur natively inside blender? why not vector pass?
I'm working in ACES across all 3 software. If you only use it in one it's not really worth it Motion vectors can only go in a straight line. 3D motion blur in the render is the best quality
I had to flip it because I animated it with the arms and legs going at the wrong time to match the run cycle at the beginning and end. So instead of reanimating I flipped the whole rig 🤣
ok but does anyone else find after buzz lands he has weird walking animation with his arms and no bounce when he hits the floor? im not saying this to be rude in any way its looks nice i just find the animation could use some work.
It's under the object data menu under the shape keys etc. There's an option to add multiple UV maps and then you can choose in the shader editor which images use which UV map! Really handy
Normally I'd jump on the opportunity to join any of Clients render challenges but I'm focusing on searching for work because I need some 💵. Still searching so I might as well try to make something before the 31st
Eyy, awesome to see you participate again! awesome breakdown, cheers!
Thank you!
The Nuke process was Hella insane, Great job man
Thanks! 🙏

Haha thanks very much 🙏
If Clint disqualifies you for that camera trick, I'll sneak into his house and mismatch his socks.
Never disqualify an Alfie video.
@@tyler.t.seaman agree
🤣🤣🤣 stay near the phone 👀
this was sooo clean. Looked straight out of Pixar Studios, with a little bit of an Alfie touch. Great work!
Thanks very much!

Wow this is next level 👏🏼
Thank you!
It's crazy how much great information you put into such relatively short videos.. thank you for sharing! Really inspiring stuff 👏🏼
Thanks very much! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Grats and great sample. Nuke pipeline definitely make the plain render more POP! truly full production house
Thanks a lot! 🙏
Awesome work Alfie!
Thank you!
Wow! the shot came out amazing!! Lighting, comp, grading.. killed it!
Thank you Prashan 🙏
Bro this is amazing in every sense of the word!🔥🔥
Thank you! 🙏
Brilliant, but you should have done Andy's cloud wallpaper.
Thanks! Yeah someone else said that too. Didn't cross my mind. It's just a generic room though. I didn't model it based on Andy's room from the films
That was falling with style
😎
This is the best of you in all the pwniusher challenge you did. Although I wished the room would have been still messy!
Thanks!
Love!!! i think the toy story idea here is so genius for this challenge!
Thanks a lot! :)
Looks great! Good luck with the comp🎉
Thanks! 🙏
this look awesome man, wish you all the best and bid you good lucky. Amazing work!
Thanks a lot!
Awesome work! Actually learnt a lot from this video. All the best with your submission.
Thanks very much 🙏

haha yea very true, great being able to get these insights though! have just subscribed to your patreon :D
Thanks a lot! Just seen that and recognised the name 🤣

Great Render!
Thank you!
I need to see one of these where you work on it for more than a few days.
Don't have the time 😅
Hopefully it gets in the top 100! (It probably will)
Thank you! 🤞
Awesome stuff, would love to see some Blender to Nuke tutorials!
Thank you!
Everyday i keep telling myself that ill be like you. you're too much 🔥
Awww haha thank you 🤣🙏
very cool stuff. maybe ill finally submit again on the next one 😂
Thanks!
6:48 are those dzo vespid?
Haha close! They're actually the nisi Athena 25 and 50. I got them to go with the black magic pyxis that I'm going to buy when it comes out :)
Amazing
Thanks!
The buzz is inverted on the final render
I had to flip it because I animated it with the arms and legs going at the wrong time to match the run cycle at the beginning and end. So instead of reanimating I flipped the whole rig 🤣

He's meant to still be floating at that point from the wings and then the arms are waving around a bit to balance himself out
@@AlfieVaughan alright, just want to say though i meant nothing by it, every thing looks really good i just found it needed something.
@theblackpumpkin_gaming all good! Feedback is always welcome :)
How do you add so many uv to one object like that
It's under the object data menu under the shape keys etc. There's an option to add multiple UV maps and then you can choose in the shader editor which images use which UV map! Really handy
May I know which render engine you used ??
I'm rendering in blender using cycles
Let homie cook
🤣🙏
lightyear was released 2 years ago
its not exactly a new movie lol
Yeah I googled the release date after recording the voice over and realised 😅 time flies!
Is this the nuke free trail version?
No I have a full license. But you can do all of this in the free version too
@@AlfieVaughan ok. thanks 👍
SURELY TOP 50🔥🔥
Thank you! 🤞
Awesome work dude! I only just stumbled on your channel, when I was looking for some blender tips for a CNC project. cheers mate!
Charlie! Hope you're well man ♥️ haha thanks very much! 🙏

Good luck 👍
For some reason, whenever I render a multilayer exr it has no extra information to use in nuke. I have the different passes selected.
That's odd. Are you using file output nodes or the built in output?
The built in output
@@AlfieVaughan Which way should I be doing it.
@BlenderToTheMax I use the file output nodes
Ok thanks, I’ll try that and see if it works
すごい!
Bro u coocked to hard. easily top 100 ❤
Thanks a lot! :)
nice breakdown
Thank you!
prettyyy
Thanks!
Unreal!
*Blender 😉 thanks bro 👊
