Thanks to my wonderful actor of an husband I have. This was filmed in Sweden when I was there for my summer holiday.
Hey all Norwegian learners!
The language I'm teaching is not Bokmål nor Nynorsk. It's an east dialect and I don't think you will have much problem with bokmål after this. :) And everyone will understand this.
I am Norwegian, from Norway. Born and raised. I live in Oslo, with my husband and son.

I started filming with my webcam. Then i moved on to a Flip, then a Flip Mino HD. Then followed my iPhone, and Now I have a Panasonic HC-V210 :)
I edit with Vegas Pro.

I have now added subtitles!
They aren't much learning on their own, but what they do provide is real life listening practice and when you can actually understand some of the conversation it is very rewarding and encourages you to learn more. I watched this before subtitles were added and I understood maybe 60% of it and felt very pleased with myself haha

+Norwegian Teacher - Karin I agree with sacredbanana - I need real life listening practice also - and hearing you all speak at a normal tempo and slurring words together (like how I speak English) is super helpful. :-)

I understood like 30% of this, with the help of subtitles. I guess it shows that I am making progress. A few months ago I would've only understood like 2%, because some words are very similar to german. 😂

After almost three months with Duolingo and Karin I think the most difficult part of the norwegian language is the dissimilarity of what is written and what is pronounced. The more naturally you speak, the more difficult for me to understand. I already speak english and german, if that could help a little. I think the boy speaks more naturally, Karin is trying to make it easier for us. A bit.
+Μυρτώ Αλεξοπούλου Mu husband in this video is speaking a bit bokmål and a bit dialect, and that can make it harder to follow. I am speaking slower than "normal" in this video to make it easier :)

I feel like my Irish accent destroys my Norwegian pronunciation, with any other language aswel 😭🙏
I believe in you! My accent is pretty different from Norwegian, but thankfully the hardest part was just learning to tap 'r's. For me though, I thought I outgrew getting tongue tied and lisping a touch when I was younger, but apparently not when I'm speaking Norwegian! It comes out in full force.
Learn Norwegian, they say. It'll be easy, they say. And I mean, it's easier than some languages, but to say it's not still difficult is seriously innacurate. Fun though. Keep it up, good luck!
