You are not saying where the wires go on inverter, i have an AIMS pure sine with place for 2 wires for auto start and onan bge 4.0 with 4 wires (1-hr meter, 1-start, 1-stop, 1-common) I am pretty sure you have same wires. i would like to know where the wires that come from inverter go. thank you
I linked to the wiring schematic in the description. Figuring that out was what took the longest. I am sure it is specific to my Xantrex inverter and won't be applicable to your AIMS inverter, but it should still give you an idea of what you're in for. It took several calls to Xantrex tech support to figure it all out. That black AGS module connects to the Xantrex inverter via proprietary "ethernet / RJ-45" connection called the system control bus.
@@PeterMuhRoads Xantrex tech support has not been very helpful to me. I am trying to connect it to my generator and was told to buy a different generator.
You have to make a hookup chart. It's going to be different on every generator and AGS controller. You'll likely have to call the tech support for your AGS controller and coordinate with Onan. First figure out what each wire does on each side, then match them up. It's not easy, but it's not rocket science either.
Also, if you look in the description, I put a link to my own custom made hookup chart, which worked for my specific combination. You'll need to do something similar for yours.

@@earthenergyhex I would call back and get a better tech, though I'm sure not all generators can be connected.
