      Mark, The Gen-Turi exceeded my expectations. We were at a tailgating party in major league baseball park parking lot few years back and used it for the first time. We were right next to a school bus with other folks and I tell ya' the exhaust pipe did its job without anyone getting ill. I think its a must have for any RV'er.

      @@timrover, Good info, Tim. My RV has a 19 year old Generac Primepact 66g generator (6.6KW) with 378 hours run time. the exhaust is like an old lawn mower and we will be traveling up the Pacific Coast Highway at several RV camps with no power. So it will be nice to make some coffee and maybe run a few things and not gas out the neighbors. We are also looking to add some solar to the mix to keep house batteries charged, Fantastic RV fans and lights running and charge phones and tablets. But a small 200 watt or 400 watt system won't run the big stuff like AC. The generator gives me 55amps AC for the big items, still I don't want to run it all the time. This smoke stack will make it a little more friendly.

      You can take the cotter pin and store it somewhere. I just leave mine on…. This way I won’t loose it. I hope this helped. Somehow I missed your comment. 😊. Safe travels.

      You are so correct Scott, I was hesitant about purchasing this system but it paid for itself in one day while tailgating. Safe travels Scott!

    I am looking at getting one of these for my Motorhome. I really enjoyed you installing this and it helped me make my decision as well.

      I’m elated this episode helped......once you acquire a Gen-Turi you are going to love it. We tailgated at a ballpark and we’re parked right next to a school bus and it was awesome. No one got sick and I was sold. Although you’ll have to make or find a better carrying bag ;). Safe Travels 👍!

    I like that, does it bring the exhaust noise down any?

    • @timrover
      @timrover  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question, when we were tailgating at Guarantee Rate Field there was a coach bus parked next to us and the driver was unaware the generator was running. I think it’s a must have for any RV’er when they are parked in a confined area with other rigs! Thanks J&C!

    • @PastorChrisCoutts
      @PastorChrisCoutts 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      With our Gen-Turi the reduction in noise is about 50%. Our gen is Onan 5.5kw.

    Tim, you were asking about our mileage with the Ram-Air. I just figured it out, and the average was 7.4 Compared to the 6 that's 23% improvement, but we did some days over 10 and some days under 6 climbing through the mountains.

    • @timrover
      @timrover  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is awesome Chris, that is a huge "MPG" improvement. I am going to look into this set up once I am on the road. NICE!
