Yes. I also remember all the apologist gamers back in the day who were making excuses for game studios as they started shoveling F2P shit down our throats. Some of us warned this would be the end result but nobody wanted to listen and now here we are.
And the precise opposite has been the case. Yet, even now there are people who don’t understand why this is. It’s because investment groups have moved into gaming for the massive profits and disguised themselves as, “publishers.” They hate video games, or at best, don’t play them or care about them. They are a source of guaranteed income to milched to the last penny and then they move in to another industry, like locusts, leaving the studios in ruins. I was so looking forward to this escapists world. I am so disappointed.
From now on I am going to rip a new one to all games doing this horrible business practice, if you can't cope with it and feel the need to unsub or stop supporting the channel I am absolutely fine with that. I want an audience of gamers that are not apologists to this obscene behaviour, I feel I have not been harsh enough in previous reviews but that is changing, am fed up of this going on in games and if I can do my part to cast it in a negative light then I will.
In a way they actually are. Devs/publishers cause poor optimisation resulting in people needing to pay a lot more to run at higher framerates than they otherwise would.
@@RedWolfensteinYes, exactly. Same thing with RT as well. Destroys performance. Usually devs create terrible quality non-RT graphics, to make the RT look good and to make people want to use it, which then requires overpriced cards Without RT, and with good optimisation, we wouldn't need anything close to for example a 3090 - even to play maxed out at 4k.
Thanks! Hey Capcom! Here's the money I was going to give you for DD 2. Instead, I choose to give it to one of the very few reviewers on this platform gamers can actually trust. If only you hadn't released such an unoptimized, bloated game, with basic features hidden behind mtx, this money would have been yours. Oh well, better luck next time eh?
Good on you. Vote with your wallet. Small correction, no features are hidden or locked behind any paywall. Personally I don't think microtransactions belong in a singleplayer game whatsoever, but it's not as dire as that at least.
@@Shmew455r even if its not, you get a complete game after a few years. Updates, bugs and maybe a complete edition. Get that on sale and you probably got a real game.
Apparently if you delete your save you can get banned for tampering game files😂 single player game btw Edit: after trying it on my own purchase i can confirm it was bs. Messed with the save file and used a trainer and did not get banned.
@WorthABuyreviews heard it from another video just before this, its stupid enough that i hope it is not. Must be either an anti cheat or the drm. I think if you cheat then there is no chance you buy their microtransactions so its probably that.
While it is weird that they let you make 5 characters and then only choose 1, they were pretty open about the 1 character and 1 save slot before they launched.
@dolorousjohn5499 then you didn't watch anything about the game before release, It was in most of their promo material. Capcom did multiple interviews with the game creator, content creators all made videos about it, they even had a short showcase for the game and said it there too. It wasn't hidden at all.
I remember they did shit like this in Deus Ex. Dont you remmmber? You buy the DLC items, and that DLC is only applied to your first saved game. And if you restart the game later, your DLC that you payed money for, is gone.
I've been saying the same thing; what's the use in buying a $1000+ GPU when every graphic intensive game runs like shit regardless. I'm still using a 1080ti and still don't see myself upgrading any time soon.
because you have to combine it with a fast cpu. the issue isnt that it runs poorly though, its the game itself. the lack of innovation, the microtransactions, etc. its not worth buying 1000 pound gpus because the games just arent good
@@The_Noticer. You are absolutely right. The reason I'm still able to use a 1080ti is because there hasn't been a single (non-indie) game recently that I've been excited about playing (DD2 had peaked my interest for a while). The last newer game I actually bought that wasn't an indie game was Elden Ring and to be honest, the DLC for it is about the only game I can really think of off the top of my head that I've been excited at all for this year. Everything being developed is either a (1) low effort, cash grab, corporate shill, (2) a buggy, unoptimized mess, (3) a DEI riddled abomination (4) or a couple, if not all of the above. It is truly a dark time for gamers who just want to play fun games.

I agree that the lack of a New Game option is absolutely inexcusable, but I've heard it's because of a weird bug with the main menu and the devs are working on it. You can get anything in the dlc list in-game anyway, so they can easily be ignored. Yes, microtransactions in a single-player game is complete ass, but please don't spread misinformation. Capcom execs will just put out a "clarification" tweet instead of an apology if this misinformation keeps spreading. I'm on your side here- criticizing these pointless, greedy microtransactions is EXACTLY what we need to do, but being incorrect about them is not the way go about it. However, 4 hours of play is far from enough time to judge this game on its actual merits. If the upcoming performance patches actually do anything to improve things you should try it again as a different class. All of them have extremely different playstyles, and I think that mage is the worst introduction to the combat of Dragon's Dogma you could have chosen. That's not on you, though, mage is an acquired taste in these games.
You gotta tell us how long you played the game Mack. It seems all the stuff is available to you once you reach the capital, both the resurrection stones, the character redesign and respec, fast travel.
he said in the video he was barely 4 hours in. I agree with a lot of stuff he says, but this is the second time I think he reviews a game after just a few hours of gameplay (first was Palworld that I think he only played 2 hours of). Tear the game a new hole for its marketing BS I agree... but for the other part of the gameplay and its world-building... atleast play a BIT more than 4 hours (or in Palworld 2 hours) as it just feels lazy.
@@casualfungaming4356Mack is just losing credibility, I actually like DD2 and there's absolutely no need for microtransactions (they're all crap anyways), the add-ons are being review bombed and dissuades any would-be buyers Having only one save file is a big pain, but Capcom is talking about introducing multiple save files, the tricky part is that your pawn can be hired by other players

It was Lords of the Fallen and now this, guess it's back to waiting for elden ring dlc again. Why is it so hard for somone to just make a decent medeivel adventure game that runs well.
Yeah, it is a shame. I don't bother getting excited much for new releases anymore, the track record in the industry is just abysmal. Idk I think he's chasing in on the angry old man persona. He contradicts himself all the time across reviews aswell. Dragons dogma 1 had micro transactions.
So I could be wrong but I dont think you can even pay to start over. It's only to edit your players features (Not even everything as race cant be changed due to quest related reasons is what ive heared). Thanfully ive heared cap-com is back peddling this questionable descion and plan to reimplement the New game Option. Not sure about multiple save slots though or fixing all fo the save and loading issues ive heared people had. Most of the micro -transactions are at worst stupid scams that barely help you get and advantage, the camping kit is apparaently lighter than in game versions, the harpy thing it useless really as long as you have a ranged attacker (no idea if pawns do well at this). Last item was the NPC affinity boosting item. No idea if like in DD1 you can still present gifts like usual. So while I dont like the micro-transactions they are at the level i can ignore them. Ive heared and seen video clips showing you can buy most of the other stuff, with the pawn inclination being a better version than the store version for rift crystals which if its likes DD1 is easy enough to get while playing the game normally. Also unlike most micro trnasations ive heared DD2 only has 1 time buyable micro transactions. on a how bad this is for micro transactions id call this a 2 / 10 (0 being no pay for advantage like cosmetics any 1 being minimal advantage) Its sucks to see this any an anticipated single player title. Im glad people call it out though as im annoyed when reviewers dont and then its left up to speculation how bad the rabbit hole goes. Pawn AI sounds problematic though if they can just jump off into the brine and die (not just 1 but 2 at the same time!) Performance issues suck but not unexpted with AAA releasing games before they are complete so often. Will have to wait and see if any fixes sort this out. AS for Controls being bad for PC, This sucks and im glad you mentioned it as ive not heared anyone else mention this so far. I used mostly controller for DD1 but found aiming with a bow annoying when player Ranger. Mage and Sorrcere was easier on controller though isnt too bad on keybaord and mouse. Just That controlls are more though out for controller and more a quick afterthought for keyboard.
Just ignore "AAA" studios and read the reviews for indies and you'll be fine. Modern gaming has never been better, you just need to look harder for the good stuff.

People defending the microtransactions as optional and that it's easy to get these things game without paying, don't realize that the MT's straight up prey on people with impulse control and addiction problems, children, teenagers, etc. You're not paying for a service or demand, you're being enticed and manipulated (by design) to spend your money on cheats that could easily be modded in as a single player game. My god. So finally someone made it worse than Shadow of Mordor. I'm not even angry anymore about what happens to the game industry. I worry less and less about having more games to play than I can. Cuz I can clearly focus on playing old games from my pile of shame. Most of new games is absolute garbage and not make me want to play them even a bit.
I wanna say something. I love this game, big fan of the original and this new one is almost a dream come true. Also, a lot of the things you said are totally inaccurate or exaggerated. And yet, Capcom absolutely deserves this negative review. The performance issues are one thing. Add to that the microtransactions, which for a veteran like me i know they're meaningless gamellay wise, but they completely give off the wrong impression to consumers. What should be interpreted as the spirit of the game, gets misinterpreted as a cash grab (because it is). Anyway, I'm just sad that it came to this. Sad for the people who will miss out on a fabtastic game, and sad that Capcom are really self-sabotaging this IP with poor business decisions.
Totally agree! I'm loving this game right now, sure it does need better optimizing (especially in the city) but the amount of negativity being thrown at it because of these microtransactions is heartbreaking! If only Capcom wasn't so damn greedy and gave this sequel the respect it deserves and left all that garbage out of the game..

@@StanWoods No you can install it on multiple computers but once you hit 5+ the DRM is very likely to flag it and render your license useless. The Steam Deck has a unique issue of having multiple iterations of Proton, Vulkan, etc and that clashes w/ the DRM by making Denuvo interpret each one as a separate PC. Also according to reviews on Steam, seems like trying to delete your saves / character data in order to try and make a new one also triggers the DRM for "tampering of files"... on a single player game....
I blame the consumer AGAIN for this one. The amount of hype videos about this game saying "The next big RPG" or "This game's combat is next level" was ridiculous for a game that hadn't even been released yet. Why are there so many people pre-ordering or buying games on day one is beyond me; have the willpower to hold out for just one day, FFS.
Great review Mack. Dont ever stop calling these greedy companies out. Absolutely shocking behaviour and you're right, as long as the consumer keeps buying this crap then the more these companies will do it. FFS guys, DONT PRE ORDER GAMES!
And once again, just like with Redfall and so many other titles, "independent" TH-cam creators didn't mention or even hint at any of these issues. Not even the bad PC optimization (edit: form those that I watched).

It's insane how the Dogma defenders justify the micro transactions. Seen so many posts of "you can tell who didn't play the original being upset" as some kind of warped gate keeping.
More gamers need to gey some principles, and practice some self restraint.. We are the problem with gaming, because so many of them buy this crap, and even defend it!

The actual game is great, so there is that. People are just jumping on the outrage bandwagon because of irrelevant microtransactions that have been in every damn Capcom game for years. You can ignore them and it won't affect your gameplay one iota. You can't buy anything important anyway, and anything you can buy can easily be obtained in game.
The defense for this kind of stuff is also just so unreal, so disconnected. Things like "you don't have to buy it", or "you can unlock it later in the game", "other games did this before". Absolute nonsense. As if that would make it look any better. For Capcom to be able to sell shit like this, they have to make modding impossible, and disable any in-game tools that could achieve the same effect (console commands, dev-tools). People think that it's just an extra option that the devs are selling these basic things. But no, they actively worked on being able to monetize this, just for the sake of monetizing it. It's like Baldur's Gate 3 making it impossible to buy different dice skins, and then selling them in the shop. Or Withers/Magic-mirror being only available from Act 2, and you have to pay for it to be available in Act 1. Such a shitshow. If you want to provide options for people to throw money at your game, without shitty microtransactions, then sell wallpapers for 5-10 dollars.
Decade of consumer training give some good results eh ? People not see the big picture and failed to mention MTX was few in previous Capcom games and they kept adding more ever since ....
Wait what? Helldivers 2 pay to win? Ive unlocked everything and not spent a penny, infact they even made the premium currency lootable ingame. Youre either just dead wrong or confused about hd2's microtransactions.
Out of all the big studios that have been in the industry since its begining, Capcom was the only one I put my faith on for being pro consumer, while also releasing high quallity games. Even when they announced that their future games would cost 70 dollars/euros, I didn't mind because I was ok paying that price for a good AAA game. Now the realization hit me hard. Sadly, no studio is immune to the plague called greed and poor trade ethics... Its a shame seeing my favourite hobby crumbling, right after it reached mainstream popularity.
I will never again buy a single player game that requires an internet connection to play. Even IF the company is above board, you are at best renting the game until the servers shut down.
All future games are going to be like that I fear, they (corpos) will also control ur connection and electricity, so that when u criticise them on a platform they control u will get locked out of ur game/internet or power al together.
From the internet : I haven't had time to play the game yet, and reading the news about MTX earlier today made me a bit worried, but then I've seen a lot of comments about it not being a big deal and a normal playthrough will see no need whatsoever to buy anything. I do however see why people would use it; the average gamer (in the US at least) today is around 35 and more often than not has kids. They may or may not be able to squeeze in an hour, maybe two, in some weekdays and *maybe* during some weekends. That's the target audience for this type of MTX design, and not the more hard core gamers. Though hopefully it's relatively easy for the parent gamers as well to get hold of the needed resources, without having to buy anything for real money, and still have time to have fun.

Hey Mack, i follow a lot of your videos and you are usually my go-to reviewer before a buy a game. i was so hyped for this game i didnt wait for your review this time because usually you're absolutely spot on. Although I abhor microtransactions, it is worth noting that every single thing in the microtransaction store is obtainable through the game with relative ease. I will say you're spot on with M+K being shite, but the combat itself is actually pretty decent on controller. also, pawns do suck in the beginning but they are supposed to. you're supposed to get better ones as you level up. i remember being frustrated with my pawns level 1-10 ish, now im getting level 30, 40, or 50 pawns and they are absolutely carrying fights (not in a negative way). Overall, although this game is not a 10/10, i have to dissagree and i'd personally give this game a solid 7.5/10 if you're on controller and dont buy into the microtransaction BS.
"And that was the snooker, now we go live to Sheffield for the Swivel On A Pumpkin quarter finals between Norbert Stiffhouse and Cliff Cocklenaught" But yes, this type of cash grab ridden shite can go away, thank you please. Give these feckers an inch (or more inches, they've pushed enough bollocks on the industry thus far) we'll be paying for everything else not nailed down. And if it is nailed down, there'll be a £40 add on for that.
i saw a absolutely insane comment on twitter where someone was arguing that "oh the microtransactions aren't a big deal cuz it gives players options" to paraphrase. that just blew my mind, your being asked to pay extra money (on a already ridiculously pricey game) for shit that used to come as standard, I'm not sure how anyone could see that as a good thing, the gaming landscape is so fucked nowadays.
General Rule of (Personal) Thumb: AAA Games = Wait a year from release instead of PAYING to be a QA Tester and to see how the game ACTUALLY fares AFTER it's actually "finished" (game fixing patches applied post release) AA Games = Wait a month for reviews (post release patching) Indie = Mack (is not afraid to give his own opinion and take on the game "as-is") These have saved me literal THOUSANDS of USD the past few years, that otherwise would have contributed to the "enabling" of gaming companies to see the normal consumer as sheep. Bonus: Pre-Ordering AAA/AA/EA = Only if you don't mind paying first to be a QA Tester (There's ZERO difference between these 3 now except the company name/branding and the amount of asset/workforce/funding they can put into creating product)

@aev6075 the mtx is most likely only there to appease publishers and nothing more. These aren't really important items anyways and it's not like you can't find them literally everywhere. Camping kits and rift crystals you get literally just by playing the game, the book you need to change how your character looks is sold by several different vendors, I can't remember what else there is to be sold but the pattern continues there too. The mtx can be completely avoided, I didn't even know there were any until about 20 hours of gameplay and only because I watched this video. @@Kiginsworth1010 There's a reason why they are there. And they aren't appeasing the publisher if it's not creating money for the publisher. It's fishy, no?
@aev6075 yes and no, publishers predict how they will get money with complex math and trends seen in other like titles. The dev team for dd2 is the same from dd1 and only intended on making a quality game, sucky part about that is quality games don't make enough money in the eyes of publishers. They were most likely told to put micros in the game but weren't told exactly what, and since the dev team just wanted to make the game they made the micros inconsequential. Remember that the dev team and publishers are different. Even though it was developed and published by Capcom does not mean its the same people making the decisions for the game aswell as for the marketing/ business. But because the micros are so pointless why get mad? The game itself is phenomenal. If the micros were more greedy, and you couldn't get the items in game then obviously it would warrant this level of anger from the community, but since they are so extremely pointless why even focus on it in the first place?
"If you want to start a new character get your wallets out". But is that even true? As I've understood it there is no way to start a new character. You can't even pay to start a new character in any way, you can just change their appearance.
A very inconvenient way to do it. Manually deleting saves and setting steam cloud to off. But there's a possibility of a ban. Now I for one can't defend this practice. It should have been available day 1. Capcom knew this. It's the backlash that made them to think of doing an update.
@8:32 Will never happen. People are like sheep. Since AAA teams fully take advantage of pre-ordering, the player is the most responsible of the video game industry's downfall. Stop being hyped like crazy at the moment a trailer appears. People never learn it's crazy.

This could've been GOTY material easily, they just had to improve the open world while maintaining the combat style. Instead it looks like they decided to focus their efforts in just improving the graphics and adding MTX to the game. What a fuckup.

Pawn AI sounds problematic though if they can just jump off into the brine and die (not just 1 but 2 at the same time!)
Performance issues suck but not unexpted with AAA releasing games before they are complete so often. Will have to wait and see if any fixes sort this out.
AS for Controls being bad for PC, This sucks and im glad you mentioned it as ive not heared anyone else mention this so far.
Anyway, I'm just sad that it came to this. i downloaded this at 4 in the morning. clicked "next next next" through caracter creation cause i just wanted to see how well the game would run. "closed the game after 20 min".. the day after i was ready to make my caracter... "BOOM"... youre only allowed to have this one, "no new game in a single player game".. Refunded within 5 seconds.. i agree with you mack, this is a new low ive never seen before.
totaly horrible.. glad i refunded in time, going to buy ghost of tushima instead of this crap.
Love all youre videos Mac.
I've disagreed with Mack on a few games, but I completely agree that AAA gaming is a load of wank.
And as of the time of this comment, Dragon's Dogma 2 is the 5th most played game on Steam with 208,000 players. Why are gamers accepting this shit? It will just keep happening!!!!
Paying for cheat codes.
Thanks for saving me money!
Microtransactions aren't welcome in any game, period.
"Where the sun don´t shite!" Truer words has never been spoken.
As someone who has swiveled on a pumpkin, I can confirm that this game should do the same.
🗣 PUMPKIN
Only reviewer I currently trust. Dont ever change.
i saw a absolutely insane comment on twitter where someone was arguing that "oh the microtransactions aren't a big deal cuz it gives players options" to paraphrase. that just blew my mind, your being asked to pay extra money (on a already ridiculously pricey game) for shit that used to come as standard, I'm not sure how anyone could see that as a good thing, the gaming landscape is so fucked nowadays.
Majority of todays modern gaymers are raised/brainwashed by mobile games that their parents gave them so they are accustomed to it.
General Rule of (Personal) Thumb:
AAA Games = Wait a year from release instead of PAYING to be a QA Tester and to see how the game ACTUALLY fares AFTER it's actually "finished" (game fixing patches applied post release)
AA Games = Wait a month for reviews (post release patching)
Indie = Mack (is not afraid to give his own opinion and take on the game "as-is")
These have saved me literal THOUSANDS of USD the past few years, that otherwise would have contributed to the "enabling" of gaming companies to see the normal consumer as sheep.
Bonus:
Pre-Ordering AAA/AA/EA = Only if you don't mind paying first to be a QA Tester (There's ZERO difference between these 3 now except the company name/branding and the amount of asset/workforce/funding they can put into creating product)
Mack is Back!
Please watch out for your health mate. Don't want to hear your last Bell on a livestream and then a thump that you dropped dead from your chair. We need you. Keep up the amazing work and calling out all the bullshit that these companies try to sneak through.
Next they charge players for the duration of the game in single player mode.
Definitely will happen eventually
Every game over screen will charge you a small fee to continue.
@@Ya_Mosura 1980's arcade game design returns! This is the real reason Dark Souls was preparing us for NES era difficulty.
Didn't the CEO of the company that owns Rockstar already suggest that💀💀
@@yourlocalhuman3526 They have been pondering about it for years, possibly decades, rent only software, one the reasons the cloud was made next to stealing data and lock it behind a paywall, those defending it above physical media have more skull than grey matter.
Your best video yet
So instead of 60$ + 2$ + 5€ etc. Why doesn't it just cost 80$ with everything that's intended to be in the game in the first place?
Everything that's intended to be in the game IS in the game. EVERYTHING being sold on steam can be earned in game with ease.
@@Kiginsworth1010 So why did they make the game so unappealing to play that I have the incentive to pay money to get the things instead of playing the game to get the things? Or what is the justification for the paid things?
@aev6075 the mtx is most likely only there to appease publishers and nothing more. These aren't really important items anyways and it's not like you can't find them literally everywhere. Camping kits and rift crystals you get literally just by playing the game, the book you need to change how your character looks is sold by several different vendors, I can't remember what else there is to be sold but the pattern continues there too. The mtx can be completely avoided, I didn't even know there were any until about 20 hours of gameplay and only because I watched this video. Seriously, as someone who's beaten the game and got 3 endings so far, the micros are extremely irrelevant
Look on the bright side, KCD2 has just been revealed
I'm playing this on the toilet with shit-stained fingers just to match the vibe
"If you want to start a new character get your wallets out". But is that even true? As I've understood it there is no way to start a new character. You can't even pay to start a new character in any way, you can just change their appearance.
You can, you just need to delete the previous save. They are adding an in game option to do this
A very inconvenient way to do it. Manually deleting saves and setting steam cloud to off. But there's a possibility of a ban. Now I for one can't defend this practice. It should have been available day 1. Capcom knew this. It's the backlash that made them to think of doing an update.
@@conyo985 it was the same with 1 and there was a 1 person that said they got banned on reddit.
Saved me a lot of money over the years. Thank you mate.
LMAO "You can go swivel on a pumpkin"! Where do you come up with these? Mac you are the best!
Flame on Mack, they have it coming. I hope you don't break your bell.
@8:32 Will never happen. People are like sheep.
Since AAA teams fully take advantage of pre-ordering, the player is the most responsible of the video game industry's downfall. Stop being hyped like crazy at the moment a trailer appears.
People never learn it's crazy.
Honestly still in my top 20 games of all time (since I started playing games in 1987). But then again I was a fan of DD1.
While I appreciate the over the top negative review bombs to pressure Capcom from micro transactions. I truly hope you guys are enjoying the game and know that those micro transactions don't do anything to make the game play any better and you aren't missing anything. Like limited fast travel, limited resurrections and limited cosmetic change opportunities is part of the original games design and nothing to do with $$$. Except for deleting characters. That one makes no sense. Im not sure if people are being lead astray and they think the game is making you walk everywhere because you have to pay Capcom. I keep hearing that and that part is not true
LOL this is my top game of 2024. I can always count on Mac to angrily rant about my new favorite game. It runs just fine on PS5, and I didn't find that I was negatively impacted by the microtransactions at all
Too much dogma, not enough dragons.
That's the real problem. Who is dumb enough to go like 84% Dogma and 16% Dragons?
Capcom. That is who.
From what you mentioned regarding PC controls, open world sucking, etc., it just looks like they did not learn anything from Dragon's Dogma 1.
This could've been GOTY material easily, they just had to improve the open world while maintaining the combat style.
Instead it looks like they decided to focus their efforts in just improving the graphics and adding MTX to the game. What a fuckup.
This game is $110 on PC in Australia and BG3 was $79. These guys are fkin dreaming selling this for $110. More crap from another useless developer.
Thanks for the heads up man salute 🫡
Funny how not a single reviewer with early code mentioned the microtransactions despite knowing about it. Almost as if 90% of ”independent reviewers” will sell out to play a game early. Absolute garbage.
or they got a different code.. the demo for example has more slots
Nobody knew about microtransactions, capcom just casually put that on day 1.
@@Mirkovius All the mtx info was transparent in the review guidelines. And the review copy had an in-game store. This has been confirmed by multiple sources including known shill ACG and WindowsCentral.
This is unacceptable,if we allow this, the corporations will try to push the boundaries and the next will be basic things like quests, equipment or difficulty settings paywalled behind the microtransactions.I know It might sound like I'm exaggerating, but there's no stop for greedy companies to make more money
Capcom has had weird microtransaction purchases in monster hunter for a while now, but this is truly their battlefront II moment. They're trying to see how far they can take it before people riot. What a disappointment of a game
The moment we've all been waiting for
The performance is really killing it
It'll be $2.99 for performance fix.
You don't have to use real money to buy anything in this game, but it is ridiculous the option exists.

Yeeeaah...I'm not even bothering with pirating this one.
I've never played this series but Assassins Creed Odyssey is a single player game with the exact same crap, yet got a thumb up from you
So you weren't allowed to start a new game in AC:O without paying them money? I don't remember that.
@@manic-n5n You're not able to start a new game in DD2 by paying money. You're not able to start a new game at all, unless you go and manually delete save files - just like in DD1 you're intended to stick with one character - kind of a silly design choice, but it's nothing to do with mtx. The thing you can buy is an item to change how your character looks. You can also easily earn that item in game.
Ah yes, whataboutism

I forgot Mack reviewed this, I only just picked it up and I stupidly chose any random voice for both my main character and pawn and being males I just assumed I would be given male voices as my options. Stupid be, of course in 2024 they also give me woman voices for my very masculine characters.... so now both my main characters sound like women and I just discovered the hard way I cant just change my character. I don't mind the game but it is very clunky and annoying nonsense like this is very irritating
