I’m guessing the window regulator is not working then? It doesn’t roll up or down? The only reason I had to remove the outer door panel was to remove the vent glass. I literally had to go back and watch it because I couldn’t remember myself. This one is a goofy one. If you were just replacing the window regulator it seems yes you’d need to remove the outer door skin to do it. That’s not the case with everything else.
@@adictiveadictive So I knew for sure to get the vent glass out I had to remove the outer door skin because the bolt was facing toward the outside of the vehicle vs. toward the inside of the vehile. There was no way to simply remove the inner door panel and then get that vent glass out. The outer door skin had to come off. The door glass on the other hand could be unbolted from the inside, removing the inner door panel. I didnt' have power to 'roll the window down' to gain access to those bolts. I ended up removing the door glass from the outside door skin removed. I don't believe it necessary to remove the outer door skin to remove the door glass. I hope that all made sense. I'm sorry if my video caused the extra work. This vehicle is an oddball.
@callsforservice219 Your vid was fine. I was working with an 07 ion-2, and the windows are manual with a crank handle. To get the window out, I was able to lift the vent glass and frame around it up and over and slide the big window out rather than drill the rivets out. The vent glass bolt on mine was facing the outside and can be taken out from the inside panel side. But I definitely had to take the panel AND skin off to do the job (IIRC). Your vid actually saved me because I wouldn't have known how to take off the door handle and a few other things as I forgot my Haynes repair manual that explains step by step. The only issue I had was stripping a few hex bolts trying to use my impact driver with a bit that might have barely been a good fit. Hex key should be used instead. Broken bolt extractor saved the day Thanks for the upload!
I have to exact same colored Saturn and cant find anymore bone yards in NJ. Id buy that whole car !
Do you need a glass? I’m pretty sure I can find you another glass from another Saturn?
I just want to get the rear window back up and sealed shut. Do I really have to take the outside door panel off too?

So, you're saying the outside panel doesn't have to be moved to remove the big glass?? If so, I'm PISSED! Don't see how not tho
