Crash wrap 101
Hey there and thanks for checking out the channel. I started the channel to help new members on our team with different aspects of our work. Crash wrapping a vehicle to me is such a great customer service when replacement glass isn’t available. If you don’t take proper steps to applying the wrap it could come off the vehicle before it’s indented.

In this video I demonstrate how to replace a window regulator. Sometimes you may find that your window won’t operate the way it’s supposed to. Many times the reason is the cable driven regulator fails and needs to be replaced. Hope this video is helpful

Sometimes little increase of quality of service is just knowing how to do the job efficiently and to remove all the broken glass. Being able to remove the inner door panel may aid in removing broken pieces of glass that are difficult to vacuum out otherw...

Hi please help! my window is stuck open. Driving to local mechanics takes about 2 hours drive as I live in Oregon mountain, and no way Im gonna drive 2 hours with open window in a WINTER. I tried to force close it manually but it so hard even 3 man can’t do it. My question is, if I cut the regulator wire, and have control to manually close the window, is it going to stay or it will going to fall off? Please answer, very much appreciated. Thanks!
Hey I hope you see this asap. If you cut the cable the window will move freely. This way you can pull it up and keep it shut with tape or a wedge. This has worked for other customers. I have also seen where they cut the cable and was able to pull the window up and secure or fasten the cable in a way that keeps the window up. Just depends on your situation but I agree. No way would I want to drive around with the winter weather and the window not working. Best of luck to you.
@@callsforservice219thank you very much for your answer!
Crazy good camera work 👍🏾
Hello, my rear window failed on our 2007 Murano. The window no longer goes up or down. Can I just change the motor? Or is it possible that the regulator failed too? The motor is readily available for me and cheap or is it better to change the whole regulator/motor assembly also? Thanks.
It’s likely the regulator not the motor. The motor can go out but it’s more likely the regulator. The cable driven regulators are prone to failure when the cable looses tension.

The bose amp is located behind the seat ?
I suppose if the truck has it equipped it would be behind the seat or under.
Just what I needed thanks!
Thanks for the feedback
I'm trying to fugue out, understand, if factory-class tint is within the glass its self, or is it still on the outside of the glass like after market tint. I ask because I have a 2016 jeep renegade with tinted windows that I want to attach front and rear dash cam to, and I needed to know if there would be a risk of damaging the tint with either type of tint? Thanks.
The factory tinted glass (AS3) is cooked into the batch material of the glass. Only the aftermarket tint is film applied to the glass. The factory tint can not be removed unless you replace the glass with a non-tinted glass (AS2)
You didn't show taking out the small window
You are correct. Sorry about that. I don’t recall why I edited it that way. At 3:40 I removed a 10mm bolt. That is the lower fastener that holds that glass in place. Once you remove that bolt you should be able to pull that glass toward the body of the vehicle and remove it. The vent glass is molded together with the rubber around the door glass. We sell those in our eBay store.
I do appreciate your video. Thank you! I was so worried about my first Grand Wagoneer b/g removal. Your video gave me the extra confidence. I cut the top with my Fein Knife (super cut) and used my Orange Bat. Easy peezy! However, the back glass was for a high-end body shop that told me that the back glass is one-time use and they bought a new one. Now they want me to R&I the 1/4. I asked if they were replacing it and they said it wasn't listed to be replaced by the insurance, the way that the back glass was. Will it be okay to R&I? I know that I've had some that no matter how well you pull it and prep it, they don't reinstall as perfect as high-end should be.
Thanks for the feedback. We have R&I the 1/4 with success. I use the GT tool quarter cutter from the inside. I did loose some of the interior where it made sense to pull it. I didn’t remove everything. I’ve had serval I’ve done. The first one was nerve racking for me.
@callsforservice219 I have the shop pull the interior. Might as well since it's a shop that works well with me. I was able to cold knife just the tops from the inside, and then I just ran my Orange bat, and saved all four setting pins on both. Thanks again.

Are we as an economy so destitute we need to be putting useless glass on parts of the car instead of sheet metal? So useless that glass.
It’s true. You can’t see out the glass it’s there for cosmetics.
Shout out to Mr Patel

Replacing the window, and put everything back together. Window isn't rolling up all the way, it's stopping about an inch from the top. Any ideas why? Thanks again for the video!
So if it rolls up and down just fine except for that top inch or so my first guess may be something is getting hung up with the regulator inside the door. Some sort of obstructions.
10 mm fucking where?! You aren’t showing anything?
You know we can’t see what you’re doing?

Chip Control Auto Glass ALWAYS provides the BEST service!
That is going to be a very expensive delivery.
I was sort of under the impression that he would have to take the limo to Houston to where they assembled it to get that glass replaced.
@@callsforservice219 makes sense. That would be like a 1000$ delivery for glass.
I don’t think it would even make the trip being shipped without getting broken. Even if it did it would have to be a freight company. I said UPS in the video but they would never deliver something like that lol
Risky
I have to change my regulator and my clips broke off when I pulled the panel off
That’s a bummer. Unfortunately older vehicles with plastic clips breaking has happened to me as well.

04 Sienna CE busted. Did everything you said the hard way before I saw your video; thanks 👍 But I see a connector at the rear seatbelt & I think I disconnected it by accident 😞 I have to look closely again to see where it connects to ? Thanks again because I'll be able to put it all back the correct way anyway 😂👍
I appreciate the feedback. Thanks for watching and glad it helped.
@@callsforservice219 Don't know how it got busted but Toyota wants $385. & going to another place in the morning to see for $275. but I'll let you know. In New Orleans area. Thanks again 👍

@@callsforservice219 $422 for passenger rear 1/4 window on 04 Sienna CE from Toyota parts; but it was tinted & don't think it even fit; so returned today & going get another tinted😞 put in tomorrow early. They're saying $275. But we'll see. Have everything out of way & plastic board duct tape over opening. I didn't know how to install window to yucky black glue at the same time as the hinge side ? But I will ask the guy at the shop if I can watch or explain so that will be interesting. There's also another item that I'll send pics of a diagram 👍
Do you know if gmc sierra is the same window online has different pattern at the bottom where it clamps
So based on the info I can look up at the moment, the right rear door in the video is a DD11169YPN. That part will fit the 2007-14 GMC Sierra crew cab as well as the Chevrolet 1500 4 door pickup 2007-2013. It will also fit the 07-13 avalanche, 07-14 Suburban, and the 07-14 GMC Yukon.

Thats hardly a fix lol, mine broke on my Saturn and that piece was made of plastic so i used jb weld plastic bonder and used two metal strips on either side and bolted them through where the plastic piece went into the metal bar so that sucker ain't going anywhere lol
The Saturn is another excellent example of vehicle that is trouble for the wiper linkage. I’ve had trouble with those breaking removing the wiper blade as well. Sounds like you may have found an effective repair for that as well.
Good job friend
Thanks and greetings from Poland😊
Wow that’s awesome. Glad I could help
I have to exact same colored Saturn and cant find anymore bone yards in NJ. Id buy that whole car !
Do you need a glass? I’m pretty sure I can find you another glass from another Saturn?
What the hell happened to your roof
There was a bad hail storm. I was there to put a new windshield in. The paintless dent repair guys had already dropped the headliner to repair the roof. It’s in the way lol obviously. Minor nuisance to say the least
Wow glad we don't get a lot of hail here. The two craziest windshields I've replaced so far are where a turkey smacked the windshield and where someone accidently shot through the windshield 🤦🏻♂️
You have to replace the windshield because the headliner is in the way? Why is that?
@@danielbash3002 Nope I was replacing the windshield because of hail damage. The paintless dent guys got to it first. They dropped the headliner to pop dents. Having the headliner down is a minor nuisance for me. Drives me nuts. lol
@@callsforservice219 oh I understand now. Oof, that would certainly make it more difficult 😬

How do you put the headrest holders back in? I’m having an issue with that
They line up a particular way. I have noticed after doing many of these that there is a variety of these headrest holders. Some of them have a flat edge and it faces toward the back of the cab toward the glass. Otherwise look at the stem of it if you will and there is a notch that lines up with the hole that it goes in. Just push to snap in. I should have demonstrated how it goes back together. Thanks for the feedback
I'm working on a 24' LTZ, they're a bit shorter with the leather upholstery., Be careful when putting them back in. Because of the leather, but they face backwards towards the window.
