Smart Gallery. Genius. I can't tell you how much content I've missed, and how hard it is to find things from the content menu. Now that I'm using the SG menu, my life is so much better in CC. Thanks for the tip!
Do you know if displacement maps can be exported out of Reallusion Character creator into Zbrush to further refine and sculpt? I know you can export normal maps and displace those but that is not the same thing as exporting displacement maps.
what bundle would you recommend a hobbyist get? I'm willing to save up if I need to, but my ultimate goal is to make art and animations in blender using character creator-made models. I have a student 60% discount fyi
Hi. Quick question. I am about to start following this series of videos you have gone to great effort to create. I have CC4 and iClone 8. I was wondering, do I still need any add-ons or plug-ins to work between CC4/iClone8 and Blender, or is it all now included? Thanks.
Will you be able to address an issue about the imported mesh's hair in cycles. I changed blend mode to alpha hashed and turned on backface culling and it looks nice in eevee. But in cycles the hair looks thick and there are black splotches on the mesh where the hair meets the scalp. I know you rendered in eevee but maybe you could still suggest a way to fix this? Edit: I spoke too soon. I figured it out. I increased the transparent max bounces in light paths from 8 to 16.
Be careful with character creator, if you need to use their characters in stuff like games etc, every time you need to ask them for a mass distribution license, which is free but this can change things for people, I didn't know about this when I got it :/
Bro love your videos but this video had nothing to do with your “pipeline/workflow”. You just spent 20 min explaining how to use Character Creator 3…. Please do an actual workflow video showing full workflow from cc3 to blender
Thats because this is part one of the series. I will proceed to finishing the character, exporting to iClone, adding animations and then exporting to Blender and editing stuff there. I didn't want and hour long video, so I diced it up into parts. I will not cover mocap however guys at Reallusion (and Rokoko) made a lot of videos on their channel on this topic. When it comes to lipsync and facial animation I made this video: th-cam.com/video/HoR6nQ4DJfg/w-d-xo.html
I’d love to know actual details on cc3 to blender like how to append more than one action. Sync up facial and body mocap, Using external mocap sources, retargeting without breaking jaw bone rig, setting a pose to t pose. Etc. This video had nothing to do with your pipeline. You simply showed the most basic features of CC3….
I will not go into such details, as I mentioned at the beginning of the video, this will be my basic workflow, with just adding existing animations, changing them around, then getting to Blender and appending assets onto the armature.
You are honestly my favorite blender teacher in my 2 years of doing 3d so far. I learn so much from your tutorials.
🙏🏼
Martin is the most underrated blender tutor !! It is infuriating. ps we love your work man!!

Another great video as usual. I cant wait for your project.
Ok, I found the answer to my question here! Thanks for the tutorials!

Hi,no need, except the free Cc tools addon :)
