I used this method today to draft a pattern and make a pair of shorts! I was so happy with the results :) Your instructions are so perfect and easy to follow! I am a bigger girl (34" waist, 45" hip) and was worried it wouldn't work out but the shorts are great! I made a first version out of extra fabric I had, and will make another pair soon out of a nicer fabric I have been saving. Loved this video and the one that explains how to sew these. Can't wait to try more of your pattern drafting videos :)

My dream as a young girl was to make clothing but other than making curtians and pillow cases etc I was always intimidated by store clothing patterns so never took that plunge. It's just exciting to think or observe and sew something from scratch. I feel so proud of myself honestly I looked at a store bought paper bag pants and I cut it for a friend into a short and I use the left out fabric from the pants to sew the exact paper bag shorts with front inside pocket and hun I tell you they look the same . I did something that I never done before and it make me feel so good. I like to challenge myself with things that are hard. Even if it the first time.. now I have a new project to do this is another challenge for me. . I'm going to try my best

This video has helped me so much! If you are working with 1.5” elastic for the waist band, do you adjust that measurement to 1.5” instead of the 1” in your video?
