    Hi! I’m a 26yo male and a novice at sewing. Your pattern making video + this tutorial helped me make the BEST thing I have ever sewed to date. I made a pair of dating sleep shorts for my girlfriend and I am so proud of them and so excited to give them to her! Thank you SO much for your help. Seriously the best!

    Wow! I’ve watched so many shorts tutorials on TH-cam and yours is the first one that made perfect sense to me! You explain everything in plain, concise terms-that any beginner can grasp. Thank you so much for making these two videos!! I’ve subscribed. Can’t wait to watch your other videos. This is so much easier than a purchased pattern. I did buy a pattern before finding your video, but I was lost when it came to using it. How to use a pattern for beginners would be soooooo helpful ! But I like your way of making patterns, much better !!

    and yes I agree, French seams are the cleanest seams, especially with slippery or easy to shed fabrics like satin and organza. For something heavy though, like suiting or denim, I think regular seam or a flat felled seam is fine

    Hi, I followed the instructions for the pattern making and continued to sew the shorts. Nice and fast, one problem the measurements are for a flat tummy so my short doesn't fit, too tight at the belly. so I am thinking to give it another try but altering the pattern a little

    • @jillschott328
      @jillschott328 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had the same issue. How are you going to alter it? I thought about increasing the crotch depth measurement but not sure if that’s the answer. Her instructions were very clear and understandable but they just don’t fit me quite right.
