Thank you, been studying the 1st 3 tutorials, still not ready to speak to a human 😂 but I'm giving it a go today. Keep those tutorials on the FBW 32NX coming, thanks again!
If you have any questions jump on our discord. Link below the video
Same lol, I'm terrified
@ghoste2755 not so bad, get pen and paper and go for it. Some advice , have a look at the departures routes in advance, will be easier to pick up on what atc said
@@granthector9591 i also need to learn how to reprogram the MCDU because i tried and miserably failed lol
Did my first vatsim flight today and was lucky enough to have ATC the whole way! Couldn't have done it without your videos mate, cheers
thanks a lot man, thanks to this video i’ve completed my first ever vatsim flight just a couple hours ago, i couldn’t have done it without your help. keep up the good work 👍
Thank you so much. I watched all your episodes, then plucked up the courage to do my first flight. Apart from making a rookie error of going down the wrong taxiway and having to go to unicom as the controllers went offline . So I have done my first vatsim flight from EGCC to EGKK. Cheers without your videos i would not of had a clue!!!!!!
COME ON BRANDON!!! We've been waiting for this for a long time! Thanks!
it's so hard to hear what ATC is saying, does it just sound bad from the recording? for example: 21:03
Sometimes it’s really unclear so the best to do is try to anticipate what they’re saying
So for example if they’re giving you an arrival, look at the arrivals on charts and it’ll be easier to match up what they’re saying
Also I just looked at that part and yeah I think the microphone could be better or there was a stutter and glitch
Thanks for making these videos! Really helpful. Have been watching the first 3 on repeat. I will watch this one a few more time before trying to fly on the network for the first time. Would love to see more full VATSIM flights on your channel soon!
Thank you very much for everything dear friend. We wholeheartedly appreciate the dedication you put into teaching us.
I send you a big greeting from Spain and thank you very much again.
😘😘😘😘😘
fantastic to see the latest vatsim episode
Great video again. And nice to see a full auto land! Taxi instructions remain intimidating 😂
Thanks for watching. Try parking close to the active runway for shorter taxi instructions until you get the hang of it.
amazing keep it up man
that was epic, massive help, thank you
Awesome video and great to see ATC all the way. Looking forward to getting into FS in a little while. Thanks
Another great, top end tutorial. So clearly presented and very informative. always look forward to your content, look forward to the next whatever it may be. Great work.
Thank you so much man, this series has genuinely helped me so much 😊
Priceless to watch as I am preparing for first Vatsim flight. Love the attitude like "I take this damn serious, with 140+ passengers on board" 😊
Hi, excellent tutorial right there, I have a question though. How do you know if you should push and start to the left or to the right? I saw that the atc said west and you went left. Is that always right? And if not how can I always make the right turn?
Atc will usually tell you which direction to face, if you have a look at the airport diagram from top down then push back so the nose of the aircraft is facing that direction.
@@RealSimPilot thank you a lot. You are helping me so much in my journey of sim flighting.
59:33 when the tower clear us to ILS approach they remove us from the frequency or we need to change frequency for ourselves or we dont need to do nothing???
You will always be handed off to the next controller. They will tell you which frequency to change to
@@RealSimPilot ok thanks!!
I have watched a few of your videos and I keep seeing reference to sim unnamed website/sim but you never say where it is and how to access it. Look at time frame 5:00 in this video for example, and please explain where to access this?
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020
46:29 I have! I forgot to switch off the autopilot when landing lol
After departure when the radar controller said climb FL110, could you do open climb or did he mean you are cleared to that altitude, but follow the restrictions? If it is the restrictions, how can we tell that they want us to follow the restrictions and not just go for an open climb to the altitude they mentioned.
When the controller tells you to climb to an altitude you no longer have to follow the altitude restrictions. If they want you to follow them they would say climb via the SID.
@@RealSimPilot Oh that makes sense. Thank you!
is it just the screen recorder or is the ATC's voice as broken as it sounds in some parts? Like when he told you to switch to unicom it sounded very distorted. How do you understand what they're saying?
Sometimes it can get distorted due to a bad internet connection but most of the time it should be pretty clear.
jus wondering wha to de becuase when i have departed thers is lots of sound and warnings and i looked to my screen and it saaid NAV CAS STBY wha should i do ?, eventualy took me of autopilo and wouldnt turn back on.please help me,love you vids aswell
How do you know what flaps to use? Flaps 1 or 2?
thanks so much man i do apretiat it this has helped me alot
PS. to my comment below. Also a good Taxi route map is Volenta, also Zoomed in to each Airport, but if you have Navigraph then zooming in is by far the best Airport chart!!
Boarding and safety announcements and the plane filling up is a functions of the dlc aircraft?
@@MrMartinBoettcher yes
@@RealSimPilotThank you and thank you for the immensely helpfull tutorial while doing vatsim babysteps
I am confused...when you chose your flight you chose one that was already in the air...do you not create your own flight. How was the flight you chose already in the air if you hadnt started the flight yet? Amazing videos! Really informative..thanks so much
The flight we were looking at that was already in the air was a real world flight. We were simulating that flight. Flightaware shows real world flights.
Oh wow that's amazing!
Do you use your tri fold knee board when doing flight sim?
Haha no because I have enough desk space
What if the atc tells me to fly direct (to another waypoint) and takes me off my flight plan do I have to change something in my fmc or do I just keep it the same?
Edit: The ATC did not even give me a heading to fly
If he gave you a waypoint to fly to you can use the DIR to function in the MCDU
I've seen in some video the stand screens showing flight details anyone know how to get them to work, are they for show or for your flight ?
They work with GSX and some add on airports.
With ur flybywire radio, I can only go up in increments of .25, Any help on this ?
@@UnknownPeg0X46X34 change it on the flypad
@@RealSimPilotcheers, all sorted 👍🏻
How do you understand what they're saying?
great video! I am new to vatsim and my destination and equipment are not showing in vat spy, what might I be missing??
File your flight plan
@@RealSimPilot thanks got it! figured it out ! :)
Where is the scenery from?
Can you please make again a tutorial how we can fly a fly by wire with simbrief?it would help me so much
How to get TOD marker to show on the display? I've set up STAR and Approach already but never get TOD marker to display during cruise flight.
Use the development version
What PC do you use. Great content.
Why is the radio such terrible sound quality? I closed my eyes and couldn't hear clearly virtually anything anybody else was saying. Is that the usual sound quality as it would put me off trying vatsim if I had to keep asking people to repeat themselves?
couple of notes, when checking in with departure you say the sid you are on rather than the runway you used. I know you didnt have a controller before but you shouldn't have started your descent before checking in with the atc who messaged and being cleared. in real life we cant get a word in either some times, doesnt mean we can just start descending, its part of the fun to regain the proper descent path! when you checked in with radar in the hold just tell them you are holding and where, they can then say hold cancelled fly heading / waypoint. cleared ils doesnt mean you can vector yourself, they should have given you an intercept heading which you need to maintain till you capture the localiser. you wouldn't wait till transition to set qnh, rather as soon as you are cleared to an altitude you would set qnh, the opposite when climbing. that would be an unstable approach due to not being configured 1000 ft above thr. should have gone around really ;) some small RT things but not worth mentioning, overall pretty good though!
Thanks for the tips. I'm not an airline pilot just a low hour PPL
@@RealSimPilot yeah i get that, just a couple of suggestions
I dont undersrand what ATC keeps saying as they speak fast.. But hopefully with some more listening, and more amazing videos like this one, i will be able to.
They won't have a problem with speaking a bit slower for you if you ask them to. You can also put the words 'new pilot' in the comments section of your flightplan. They will give you more time
Great videos in this series. Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see you put in the speed restriction after takeoff (220kts) into the flight computer. Since you were in managed speed, I assume you did enter it at some point.
Thanks for watching. Should have been automatically programmed in the MCDU if it's a published speed restriction
Quick question how do you have an iPad in your cockpit if it is a mod please reply to me with the link
It's the aircraft.. FlybyWire Simulations A32nx
Tried today for the first time, made some mistakes here and there, its difficult when English is not my mother language, and Brazilians use IVAO network to sim but by the 3rd fligth coms were already smooth
Well done. The more you do it the easier it becomes 👍🏻
No offense but I really would like to see someone do these tutorials in America where our procedures are really quite different. All the instructional material we have is being done in Europe :(
EDIT: And for the inevitable comments that tell me to just fly in Europe then, I've tried this, but the accents make it way harder for me. I have enough trouble learning and understand ATC in general. Adding unfamiliar accents just makes it impossible. I've managed a few flights in the US where I can mostly understand them and just not comofrtable with moving to EU right now.
Check out XP72 he flies a lot in the U.S. and always on Vatsim
CAVOK actually stands for "Clouds And Visibility OK"
Depends where you're from.
@@RealSimPilot , yeah, you're right. I was taught in flight school that it was Clouds always, but it seems not. Btw, on the IFR clearance you don't need to specify you aircraft type. It's on your filed flight plan, which the controllers will see
never heard it mean clouds..
full tutorial
cant hear anyone

Great tutorial, your mouse is annoying af though
