I very enjoyable watch on a cold evening. I really looking forward to this aircraft and didn’t even know about it until recent dev stream 😂. One of the most informative, well executed and instructive aviation tutorials I’ve watched on YT. Thx for the knowledge and effort you clearly put into the channel. I’ve said this before but I’ve learnt more in time I’ve watched your channel than I’ve learnt in many many years of reading books etc. thx also to MS and Asobo and all the devs that have brought us msfs2020. I know we complain about it but I couldn’t imagine fsimming without it now.

Just a note about the trim. I have a Turtle Beach flight stick and use the trim wheel on the throttle for trimming. I found for the SR22 I had to reverse the elevator trim axix from what I normally had it set for other aircraft for it to trim in the correct direction.

Excellent video and I enjoyed it very much. I really liked the air work and IFR flight. I do have a question. When you stalled the aircraft and it rolled left would you use right rudder for wings level?

My Engine displays are not showing on the PFD when i start up. How do you get that to work?
the icing stuff in msfs is a little janky to be fair - in the 737, does the windshield heat stop ice building on the window's completely? or do they still ice up?
You are experiencing performance degradation due to ice, but a) not much and b) you are far enough below max takeoff weight that your performance is still good. At your takeoff weight without ice the plane is like a rocket easily maintaining > 1000 fpm climb at 120kias
You could see the impact of ice especially in your initial climb. Once you got some speed the anti-icing of the plane started working and your climb rate increased.
That break when you did the full flaps stall was also much more aggressive than usual, probably because the icing effect was still in place
NOTE: In this aircraft, if you have ice present you are supposed to land at flaps 50% and approach at around 95 kias which also prevents both ice alerts you got on landing

Digging the flashing shadows on the windscreen ice 🙄 Gads I hope Asobo 2024 uses a different method of shadow rendering, I can only fly MSFS either at night, under heavy overcast, or directly into a late afternoon sun as the shadow flickers come close to giving me an epileptic seizure 😳 lol. Anyway it would be interesting to hear some opinions on the new Asobo SR22 from those who also use the Torquesim Cirrus in X-Plane 12.
A note on the standard rate of turn. I believe the real garmin 1000 has a heading trend vector that indicates if you are doing a standard rate turn. Doesn't seem to be present in the sim version.
That is very odd, I recall it being in earlier WT G1000 versions. Definitely not in this one though, hopefully they will fix soon.
I believe it depends on the HSI map format chosen. Use the full map like I did and it won’t show, use one of the other formats and it should.
@@A330Driver is correct, the HSI map does not show the turn rate indicator. However, the normal HSI does. This reflects the behavior of the real NXi.
100% new person to flying sims here. Where would I go to have the most basic tutorials on this plane? Don't get me wrong, this is a fantastic video, but for example, is there a place that answers the question: When you added 10 lbs. of taxi fuel in the MFD, why? What would happen if you didn't? What would happen if you added 100 lbs.? Etc.

Hi, thanks for the vid! Just to understand...so weight and balance is set from the default menu, or from the new page in the G1000?
You have to use the default menu to load up. Then enter those weights in the G1000, that’s just to make sure you’re within limits.
As whiffy said, loading the plane and avionics initialization are separate things here. Though I’d certainly suggest to forward the suggestion to WT for a future update!
i can't find the SR22T on my version, using deluxe, only can find the SR22 ... anyone else have this issue?
This is the beta version, SU14 is not yet released.
