My dad passed a few days ago and the last song he shared to me that he liked was this one in particular I'm at his viewing right now I'm definitely going to cry I miss him already.
I've never heard a member of Cake complain about not being properly recognized for this song, and I love them even more for that, because it's fucking amazing

Not only are they amazing musicians, but they are extremely tasteful and choose to play the most beautiful notes. The keyboard solo is perfect. I love the way it sounds.
I discovered this song and band as a pained child dealing with a narcissistic aunt who partially raised me. Goddamn this music changed my life. I'm now 32.
Was tapping my chopsticks on the lid of my pan while waiting for my dumplings to cook and just like that I heard the bassline in my head and had to play it
I was a line cook at a resort for several years, Cake was my audio go-to almost every day. I'm sure the other guys are still traumatized my the mere mention of either comfort OR eagles

Love the band. Never heard this song before. Rewatching Sopranos and recognised the voice. Absolute belter. Don't know how I missed it. Cake has been a big inspiration on my songwriting. Releasing my first album this year and I'll be touring in the summer. They'll always be what I listen to when i need to shake of the anxiety and depression before stepping out the door. Much love, guys. Thank you.

I came after the scene of Christopher taking all the newspapers, this song was written with a pen of fire and after hearing it I did everything to hear it and search for it because I am an Arab who is not very good in English, I watched the series many times but I was not paying attention to this masterpiece.
I haven't watched it yet, but this series is already one of my favorites, along with Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. And this song somehow sunk into my soul
Reminder that this song received regular alternative rock radio airplay in 1997-1998. Such were the days. There's still plenty of good music being made, but it ain't on the radio. The early-mid 90s were a special time. Post-Nirvana, they were just throwing stuff at the wall to see what would stick, and it was great.
Watching The Sopranos for the first time and I just had to listen to the full song after that amazing ending scene with Christopher seeing his name in the newspapers.

Love the horns. Ennio-Morricone-esque.
