His passing, devastated me more than the passing of any other musician in my 58 year life, why, because it means we loose effectively one of the most universally accepted, liked, enjoyed, diverse, groups the planet has ever seen, spanning decades. My mother and I danced to them when I was a kid, I danced and raged with friends growing up, it played at my wedding, my mothers funeral and now I’m dancing with my grand kids, and playing beats with them while they groove. Rest In Peace, but most of all, thanks Rolling Stones for seeing me through the past 5 decades of life, and the ability for me to now reminisce over the remainder. Gt
that happened to me at high school I was using the stall and another dude goes in the other stall and then music starts to play I assume his head phones got unplugged and his volume was on and the beats just went on
I never get tired of hearing this. An absolute masterpiece in every sense, the lyrics,a journey through time from the view of the Devil, who else could even come close today?
Jagger and Richards were at their peak, writing incredible words and music from Beggers Banquet in 1968 through Exile On Main Street in 1972. Their creative output during that time is just mind blowing.
It wasn’t their talents at all actually. Mick Jaggar sold his soul to Satan while sitting in a prison cell and he channeled this song by Satan himself. It’s documented, check out The Good Fight Ministries on YT. That’s how most of these “artists” wrote music. Same with Zepplin and Stairway to Heaven. Channeled while becoming demon possessed. So sad. Praise Jesus! ❤️
I love this song so much, for me it's a roundabout way of saying that evil is just inherent in people. Like a contradictorily happy celebration of humanity itself.
Humans killed Jesus, Humans organized the Holocaust, Humans invented the Nuke, Humans are responsible for most human deaths, and most non-human deaths.

Always been a fan of the Stones, my Mum used to listen to them everyday, that crackle of the LP as it hits the first song. Nostalgia of a Sunday morning laying in bed listening to my Mum hoover and sing away. I always have the Stones on at least once or 4 times a day. Just last month passing by my oldest son's bedroom and I could hear Gimme Shelter. At that moment I knew that my parenting is awesome and my old Mum is still around, leaving little messages that I could only understand.

@@dontnerfmebro8052 Under the law of armed conflict (LOAC), the death of non-combatants is not necessarily a violation; there are many things to take into account. Civilians cannot be made the object of an attack, but the death/injury of civilians while conducting an attack on a military objective are governed under principles such as of proportionality and military necessity and can be permissible. Military necessity "permits the destruction of life of ... persons whose destruction is incidentally unavoidable by the armed conflicts of the war; ... it does not permit the killing of innocent inhabitants for purposes of revenge or the satisfaction of a lust to kill. The destruction of property to be lawful must be imperatively demanded by the necessities of war." For example, conducting an operation on an ammunition depot or a terrorist training camp would not be prohibited because a farmer is plowing a field in the area; the farmer is not the object of attack and the operations would adhere to proportionality and military necessity. On the other hand, an extraordinary military advantage would be necessary to justify an operation posing risks of collateral death or injury to thousands of civilians. In "grayer" cases the legal question of whether the expected incidental harm is excessive may be very subjective. For this reason, States have chosen to apply a "clearly excessive" standard for determining whether a criminal violation has occurred. When there is no justification for military action, such as civilians being made the object of attack, a proportionality analysis is unnecessary to conclude that the attack is unlawful. From Wiki

Only in theory, as Stanley Kubrick pointed out, the Charts were flooded with stuff like "surfin' bird" while a remarkable song, it lacks the 60's feel of the Stones and Hendrix.
That guitar, while also beautiful, is just vicious and bristling and snarling and soul-stunningly, apocalyptically good. It's so excellent. It fits this song so perfectly well.
Now that I think of it, it sounds like some delightfully dulcet or magnificently mellifluous buzzsaw. It's thunderous and immediate, too. It's really, sonically speaking, a tremendous solo. Like I said, one of the best in Rock music, maybe even in ALL music. Definitely Rock, anyway.
This song have an appeal.. I know it's the intention but, i can clearly imagine the Devil introducing himself like that to me with that little charming smile.
The ladies always fall for that Charming smile of mine, but i must admit that my Mojo guarantees that result. My Mojo always has appeals, it was made that way. My intensions whatsoever aren’t always as bad as said in the bible, the problem with my solutions and problem-solving is that i can only go so far and there are always rules which i have to obey as the Prince of Darkness.. you humans are just so stupid and ruthless, it very much guarantees your own destruction..

You cant just guess what the devil is. You either know or you dont know. The devil is lucifer who was the highest angel. He got jealous of Gods power so God threw him down to earth and made him ugly. However even if the devil didnt exist there would still be evil on earth due to our carnal nature in all of us. Our whole reason for fleshly existence is to fight the devil and our carnal nature and try to mimic Jesus as much as possible. When we die we sleep and wait for the great judgement where everyone who was ever alive gets judged. Some will get rewarded and some will receive a second death by being burned up in hellfire. There is no such thing as eternal hell, God is not a torturer.

I’m sure it’s been said somewhere else in the thread but here’s an interesting fact about his song: the original lyric was “I shouted out who killed Kennedy” and before release Robert Kennedy was shot so they changed the lyrics to “I shouted out who killed the Kennedy’s” before its final release
김희중 When it was first recorded only John F Kennedy had been shot and killed. During its time before release his brother Robert Kennedy was also shot and killed so they had to change the lyrics of the song to reflect he had also died.
I always chuckle at people who say they're devil worshipers because really you can just tell them to go to hell.. most of them are already living in it whether they choose to acknowledge it or not.

I’m so devastated. I always laugh at the story of Mick calling the hotel drunk asking where his drummer was. Charlie got up, put a suit on, went to Mick and punched him. ‘Don’t ever call me your drummer again. You’re my fucking singer!”
He always was the coolest member of the stones.
And, he prevented Mick from falling out of the balcony and into a canal!

The destruction of property to be lawful must be imperatively demanded by the necessities of war."
For example, conducting an operation on an ammunition depot or a terrorist training camp would not be prohibited because a farmer is plowing a field in the area; the farmer is not the object of attack and the operations would adhere to proportionality and military necessity.
From Wiki

I think you are becoming slightly hyperbolic about this song, but I applaud your channel name and content...👌... *deja flu 102* is coming soon as you know...good luck...support Van Morrison...only musician who publicly opposed lock-downs and stood his ground...find "Where have all the rebels gone" .."No more lockdowns" etc. ✌
@@sheerluckholmes7720 Hyperbolic.......interesting word. For me this track has everything though, very intelligent lyrics, excellent music , matching video featuring Lennon and Townsend from 1960's in audience. History of Altamont gig 1969 / video on here where Jagger was nearly shot while singing this very track is really interesting ,
the Hells Angels as security was not a good idea though.
Totally agree with you about Van Morrison (don't forget Clapton on that album ) being one of the very few that spoke up about Covid , where have all the rebels gone ? That question has never been answered or even asked on msm probably down too threats of never working again in tv, music or media ever again.
Thanks for the compliments about my channel (will update it soon with videos ) , its an issue that many even now don't grasp the consequences / history of what happened or even care. British public have proved themselves too be easily manipulated / gullible which doesn't bode well for the future.
Thanks again........👍🙏😀
