Wow awesome build 👍 new sub. Nice to see some Charnwood machines as well I have quite a few and find them pretty good

Thanks for the comment and thanks for the sub 👍. The charnwood machines are definitly good value for the money. Decent quality where it counts with any sacrifices being made in areas that either are not important or are easy to fix. The hollow chisel morticer is excellent though.

Hi Matthew just popped across after Keith mentioned your channel and I'm planning on having a look through your library of videos over the coming days. 😊

Beautiful piece of work, Matt. Love the knots and pips, etc, in the top. Check out Adrian Preda, Kobeomusk Furniture and Ishitani Furniture. Wouldn't be me but it's all wonderful work. Best aye!

Thank you 👍 I already follow Kobeomusk and Ishitani, but I'll take a look at Adrian Preda. Ta for the recommendation.

Very nice work, do you make these kind of workpieces for your own use? Or do you sell your pieces? This type of craftsmanship is getting quite rare at a professional level at least here in the Netherlands.

Thank you 👍🏻. I just make them for myself. The amount of hours involved in making them like I do, without larger workshop machinery and doing a lot of handwork means that it would be difficult to make any money on them.

@@MatthewSmall Always the most satisfying to keep and enjoy your work anyway! And yes thats the reason why its never done professionally indeed. I had a few times that i made chairs and the like for people, but in my free time. Makes it a hobby project with a small payload, nice way to invest in new tools I always think.

Great project! .. did I understand it correctly that all the timber for the project only came to £150? ... also - if you get rid of the bikes, you'd have space for more tools? (joke)

Timber came to £350, not £150. And I would sooner sell family members than my bikes 😁
