So for the blue dress you shortened the overlay and you lengthened the skirt? I like that look. I agree. I ordered the pattern and I will make the overlay separate.
i love listening to your videos. I like that Peggy shows the patterns she is using, but could you put up a picture of the pattern instead of Peggy holding the pattern, I think it would show the pattern jacket clearer.

Great advice! Yes, fabrics are awful now. I started sewing because even more expensive clothes are all polyester or rayon(viscose). Polyester and viscose both put microfibers into the oceans, municipal sewage doesn't filter out the microfibers. Plus they collect body odours, and don't last very long. I have started upcycling fabrics I find at the second hand shop. There are wonderful fabrics, linen, cotton, even silk used in table cloths and curtains. Just call me Scarlet. Agreed , tank dresses show my flabby arms, so I want to cover the wobble. I thin once hit menopause I just couldn't wear tanks with out a cover. Please rethink the use of Facebook, it is not an ethical platform.

The overlay was not shortened, just the base lengthened.
