Hi @TheAuraGuardian I love your videos and think you should get way more attention than you get. I love pokemon and watching your videos always teaches me new facts and easter eggs either about the games or the anime while still making me smile at the same time. You were one of my biggest inspirations to start my youtube channel. Ever since I watched your first video I subscribed and now have watched every single video of you and have loved every minute of it. I hope you continue to make such amazing content for your fans and pass your goals on youtube to someday gain millions if subscribers that you definitely deserve. Keep up the good work and I'm sure you will become a larger channel. Thank you for inspiring me to create my channel. From your biggest fan Aidan.
What a coincidence! I have an Infernape with the Iron Fist ability, AND this moveset: Fire Punch, Power-Up Punch, Mach Punch and Focus Punch. I nicknamed him "Saitama" too.
Still trying to wrap my head around the fact that delphox can learn the elemental punches.....but not thunder bolt or ice beam. It's based on a mage for the love of Mew!
Infernape not learning Drain Punch disappoints me. Iron Fist makes me think, "ok, so all punching moves are game, and drain punch is very useful, better teach it to mah boy" but NOPE. Oh well.
One you missed that sticked out to me was the fact that Kyurem cannot learn Ice Punch...Black Kyurem doesn't learn any good physical ice type moves and it has those huge gorilla arms and it can't even learn Ice Punch...WOOPER CAN LEARN ICE PUNCH! Anyway, I recently stumbled upon your videos and I really like them, I've subbed.
Yeah Remoraid is based on a gun while Octillery is based on a turret. Octillery's name is even a spin on artillery, so it makes sense why they'd learn those moves. Still, the Lati's should be able to learn them too.
Latios and Latias cannot learn Extreme Speed, nor Sonic Boom, nor Boomburst, despite being able to fly at speeds exceeding Mach 1. Meloetta, a Pokémon whose entire theme is song and dance, cannot learn Disarming Voice, Boomburst, Swords Dance, Quiver Dance, Petal Dance, or Dragon Dance. Also, despite its Pokédex entries claiming that its songs can manipulate the emotions of those who hear them, it cannot learn Taunt or Torment. There are a number of other moves you'd expect a Fighting-type with a graceful battle style to learn, such as Double Kick and Sky Uppercut, that Meloetta also does not have access to. Mightyena cannot learn Pursuit. Carbink's Pokédex entry claims that it fires beams from the stone on top of its head. However, the only remotely beam-like moves it learns are Power Gem and Moonblast. It cannot learn Psybeam, Signal Beam, Aurora Beam, Simple Beam, Charge Beam, Ice Beam, Mirror Shot, Flash Cannon, or even Hyper Beam. In addition, despite being able to learn Magnet Rise, Carbink cannot learn Charge Beam (didn't I just mention that move?), Shock Wave, Thunder Wave, or Discharge. Carbink, despite being a fully-evolved Pokémon, cannot learn Hyper Beam or Giga Impact. In addition to not being able to learn Power Gem for some unexplained reason, Diancie, a Pokémon themed entirely around glittering diamonds, cannot learn light-based moves such as Mirror Shot, Aurora Beam, or Flash Cannon. Despite being able to learn Magnet Rise, Diancie cannot learn Charge Beam, Shock Wave, Thunder Wave, or Discharge. Despite being based on a fairy tale princess, Diancie cannot learn Draining Kiss. Despite a promotional anime short showing Mega Diancie wielding a rapier made of pink diamond, Diancie cannot learn Swords Dance, Slash, X-Scissor, Aerial Ace, or Cut, nor does there exist a Fairy-type slashing move for her to learn. Despite having the power to create and control diamonds in the anime, Diancie cannot learn Rock Smash. Despite using their pointed lower bodies like jackhammers to dig in the anime, Diancie and Carbink do not learn either Bulldoze or Dig. Gallade does not learn Sacred Sword. Aegislash gets it, but not Gallade.
*+FlameUser64* " *Meloetta, a Pokémon whose entire theme is song and dance, cannot learn Disarming Voice, Boomburst, Swords Dance, Quiver Dance, Petal Dance, or Dragon Dance.* " " *Disarming Voice: Letting out a charming cry, the user does emotional damage to opposing Pokémon.* " That explains why she doesn't get it because this isn't singing but crying. " *Boomburst: The user attacks everything around it with the destructive power of a terrible, explosive sound.* " Again, a good reason why she doesn't get it because it isn't a song, heck, it isn't even harmonic. " *Despite a promotional anime short showing Mega Diancie wielding a rapier made of pink diamond, Diancie cannot learn Swords Dance, Slash, X-Scissor, Aerial Ace, or Cut, nor does there exist a Fairy-type slashing move for her to learn.* " " *Despite having the power to create and control diamonds in the anime, Diancie cannot learn Rock Smash.* " " *Despite using their pointed lower bodies like jackhammers to dig in the anime, Diancie and Carbink do not learn either Bulldoze or Dig.* " The anime and the games have a lot of differences and so it should be taken as anime's fault not the games. As for Diancie using a sword, that was an item that she was using not a move. At best it should be an equipable item but doing so would mean that they would have to create the other weapons classes as equipable items simply because the fandom would want them.
*+TheNerdZorua* I know but that's why I said that Disarming Voice doesn't fit Meloetta because that moves uses a Pokemon cry but Meloetta doesn't cry like a Pokemon but sings.
6:04 it can learn a move that looks like a tackle. called take down. it can learn double-edge (well, in gen 1 and frlgexd). It can also learn Skull Bash
Likely mistaking it with Spearow, which indeed learns peck... alongside literally every other goddamn bird in gen 1 aside from Zapdos, who just has Drill Peck instead.
Man I need to start watching your videos again. I think the only reason I stopped is because I stopped getting notified of them, but then I remembered where I learned that Pidgey can't learn Peck and was like "HOLY SHIT I USE TO LOVE THAT CHANNEL"
+TheAuraGuardian Yeah my personal favorite thumbnaile EVAHHH😂😂..And the and had me screaming in my screen so hard...Dang it how can they mess up so baad😡😬
Some things that are outdated now, don't know all. - Regigigas learns protect and rest now - Diancie learns Power Gem now And the other things i forgot
Other updates: - Infernape now gets Drain Punch in Gen 9 via TM. - Scrafty now gets Beat Up in Gen 8 via Level Up (no Sucker Punch tho). - Heliolisk can now get Discharge in Gen 8 through Move Relearner. No Helioptile tho. - Rhyhorn now gets tackle starting in Gen 8 at the low level at 1. Pidgey still can't learn Peck tho.
My explanation of why theese Pokémon can’t learn this moves: 1. Zangoose’s claws is TO powerful to do an simple cut. 2. Venusaur is sort of an plant that gives poison in air as an dust, not liquid. 3. Those Pokémon using x-scissor because it doesn’t have claws, and the scabbard is in the way.
So your telling me that I have a rhino that can shoot flames, lightning and literal blizzards, but I have to wait for it to become heavier before it can swim, makes sense.
May I add one? Xerneas, the Life Pokemon can't learn Recover/Synthesis. It cant even give "life" to itself other than using Rest And ironically, Yveltal the Destruction Pkmn can heal itself using Roost
Xerneas also doesn't learn Earth Power, even though Geomancy uses the power of the earth or something. Quite sad, given that Ground/Fairy has great coverage and enables it to run something other than Focusless Blast.
Yes, you're right! At least it can use Gravity tho. And 1 more thing.. Pain Split. If this Pkmn can manipulate life force then it should be able to use Pain Split (at least it can use Endeavor)
Kevin Eontrainer Gravity, however, is terrible because it requires valuable set-up turns and a moveslot. Since Geomancy and Moonblast are a given, that leaves one coverage move slot, which is not enough. Though I agree it should have Pain Split.
Even though this is kinda old, my only defense for Ferrothorn not learning spiky shield is BECAUSE it has Iron Barbs. It already has an ability that damages the opponent on contact, so they probably thought giving it a move that did the same thing was a bit redundant or broken (not sure how though)
*Darmanitan can't learn Thunder Punch.* Would someone like to tell me WHY? It can learn Rock Slide, Fire Punch, Zen Headbutt, and Flare Blitz, all of which are powerful moves that compliment it's ability. It can learn many other punching moves, such as Focus Punch, Power-Up Punch, Rock Smash, and Brick Break. And let's not even go into about the Fire types that can learn Thunder Punch, such as literally all of the Fire starters, Magmortar, Victini, and Heatmor. *_But not fucking Darmanitan. WHY._* Also, several other Pokemon with Sheer Force have Thunder Punch, such as Conkeldurr, Hariyama, Rampardos, Nidoking, and Nidoqueen, all of which have prominent weaknesses that Thunder Punch can help counter. So if that's their reasoning for not letting it learn Thunder Punch, it's very poor. And not to mention, there are SEVERAL Pokemon who really shouldn't be able to learn Thunder Punch, such as Blissey, Probopass, the Lake Trio, and..... Gastly. Gastly can learn Thunder Punch. _GASTLY can learn Thunder PUNCH._ *_GASTLY CAN LEARN THUNDER PUNCH._* *_BUT NOT DARMANITAN._* *WHY.*
One thing I forgot to mention about Zangoose is that the first part of it's name is the Japanese word 'san' which translates to 'cut down'

@@beanus9471 Pokeinfo says otherwise! It says that Raichu learns it in every gen except for gen 1!

Those are jetplanes.
I think if your jetplane would start spewing fire, your heart would start learning splash.
Maybe it would even perform that move in the dirt below of where you were supposed to fly with your jet.

Despite Regigigas not being able to learn Rest... It gets FRICKING Sleep Talk! This is a little weird considering it has no way to inflict sleep on itself and make use of said status condition with Sleep Talk... weird.
It also gets Snore if I'm not mistaken... Pokémon logic! Hooray!
+Masutā Darkrai Pokémon Logic. The worst invention EVER

How about:
Remoraid can learn Fire Blast.
A small fucking fish can learn Fire Blast, while Lati@s can't.

+TheAuraGuardian I noticed that while playing through Platinum, and went "What the fuck?!" out loud, and taught it Fire Blast immediately XD
+Mikkelwish so can igglybuff
It's based on a gun...
Yeah Remoraid is based on a gun while Octillery is based on a turret. Octillery's name is even a spin on artillery, so it makes sense why they'd learn those moves. Still, the Lati's should be able to learn them too.
7:35
Latias and Latios are too cute to be like legit/scary dragons XD
Ok
Theres no excuse, fucking slowpoke can learn flamethrower
*+FlameUser64* " *Meloetta, a Pokémon whose entire theme is song and dance, cannot learn Disarming Voice, Boomburst, Swords Dance, Quiver Dance, Petal Dance, or Dragon Dance.* "
" *Disarming Voice: Letting out a charming cry, the user does emotional damage to opposing Pokémon.* "
That explains why she doesn't get it because this isn't singing but crying.
" *Boomburst: The user attacks everything around it with the destructive power of a terrible, explosive sound.* "
Again, a good reason why she doesn't get it because it isn't a song, heck, it isn't even harmonic.
" *Despite a promotional anime short showing Mega Diancie wielding a rapier made of pink diamond, Diancie cannot learn Swords Dance, Slash, X-Scissor, Aerial Ace, or Cut, nor does there exist a Fairy-type slashing move for her to learn.* "
" *Despite having the power to create and control diamonds in the anime, Diancie cannot learn Rock Smash.* "
" *Despite using their pointed lower bodies like jackhammers to dig in the anime, Diancie and Carbink do not learn either Bulldoze or Dig.* "
The anime and the games have a lot of differences and so it should be taken as anime's fault not the games. As for Diancie using a sword, that was an item that she was using not a move. At best it should be an equipable item but doing so would mean that they would have to create the other weapons classes as equipable items simply because the fandom would want them.
Who else read through this whole book about pokemon logic.
Megagutsman+ its not actually crying 😢 like that but its like communication, like a pokemon cry
If Rhyhorn can learn those, why not giving it tackle too? It still make sense for it to be able to learn tackle
I swear to God I remember Pidgey being able to learn Peck in Gen 1 when I was a kid. I guess that's in the Berenstein Bears timeline as well.

@@danielotano8677yeah uh
That’s the joke
I think
Likely mistaking it with Spearow, which indeed learns peck... alongside literally every other goddamn bird in gen 1 aside from Zapdos, who just has Drill Peck instead.
Machamp, literally the Superpower Pokemon couldn't learn Superpower in gen 3. And as of gen 6, can only learn it through move tutor.
I more surprised that the Helioptile line can't learn solar beam tbh.
Man I need to start watching your videos again. I think the only reason I stopped is because I stopped getting notified of them, but then I remembered where I learned that Pidgey can't learn Peck and was like "HOLY SHIT I USE TO LOVE THAT CHANNEL"

Rhydon can learn surf because while surfing you can Rhyd on it
Some things that are outdated now, don't know all.
- Regigigas learns protect and rest now
- Diancie learns Power Gem now
And the other things i forgot
Other updates:
- Infernape now gets Drain Punch in Gen 9 via TM.
Nuzleaf can't learn Grass Whistle despite its PokéDex entry saying that it plays its nose like a whistle!
Staryu can learn Power Gem
That makes sense.
Skeeter Mania I ment Staryu looks like it can learn Power Gem
Skeeter Mania or maybe not
BrianCars That makes sense because it has a gem in it,read both Staryu's pokedex entry and the description for power gem, they match pretty well

mesprit can learn POWER UP PUNCH

Yeah, cause when I look at fairy-looking creature the first thing I think is "Gee, I hope it doesn't punch me!"
+D-VonTheCrow Legend mesprit is a physic type
My explanation of why theese Pokémon can’t learn this moves:
1. Zangoose’s claws is TO powerful to do an simple cut.
2. Venusaur is sort of an plant that gives poison in air as an dust, not liquid.
3. Those Pokémon using x-scissor because it doesn’t have claws, and the scabbard is in the way.
If pokemon could talk and say actual words I feel like for beat up the pokemon would say "LETS F**K EM UP!!"

If you give drain punch to monferno infernape can basically know drain punch
Except Monferno can't learn it either. Nor Chimchar.
May I add one?
Xerneas, the Life Pokemon can't learn Recover/Synthesis. It cant even give "life" to itself other than using Rest
And ironically, Yveltal the Destruction Pkmn can heal itself using Roost
Xerneas also doesn't learn Earth Power, even though Geomancy uses the power of the earth or something. Quite sad, given that Ground/Fairy has great coverage and enables it to run something other than Focusless Blast.
IIRC Xerneas can learn Earth Power by move tutor :v
Kevin Eontrainer Nope, I looked it up and it can't:
bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Xerneas_(Pok%C3%A9mon)
A shame.
WHY._*
Also, several other Pokemon with Sheer Force have Thunder Punch, such as Conkeldurr, Hariyama, Rampardos, Nidoking, and Nidoqueen, all of which have prominent weaknesses that Thunder Punch can help counter.
_GASTLY can learn Thunder PUNCH._
*_GASTLY CAN LEARN THUNDER PUNCH._*
*_BUT NOT DARMANITAN._*
*WHY.*
probably because IT'S NOT A FUCKING FIGHTING TYPE!!!!!!!!!!!
As for Gastly, I'm thinking that was leftover with Haunter and Gengar.
