    I love listening to Louie talk shop. We're not powerlifting but we do try to implement conjugate methods combined with GPP, J.C. Santana's linear methods and the findings of Dr. Kraemer's non-linear studies. It ain't perfect but we're definitely on to something.

  • @brandongreen5884
    @brandongreen5884 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Very good! My understanding of GPP came from what I read from the
    "'Soviets Sports Review", Dr. Yessis (Michael Yessis) consults and what
    I read in the "Charniga translations" of Soviet Weightlifting theory. Not just
    "fitness" but "coordination, speed, etc." I saw the USSR volleyball team in the '80s
    (1987 specifically) in the old LA Laker forum in Inglewood, Ca. as part of a "round-robin"
    tournament. In the finals, the Soviets came out, and their warm-up looked like a "circus"
    -Walking on hands, Back Flips, Foward Flips, and then execute a "skill" (such as a "dig").
    Except for the "setter" who would "windmill" one arm going in one direction and the other arm
    going the other at the same time and then switch!
    .
