Loved this instrumental song when it came out in the 80s and still love it today!! Such a masterpiece ❤ Many thanks Mr. David Foster for sharing your musical talent with the world. You are an awesome musician!!
I heard this song when i was 12...I forgot this beautiful and sweet song...now im 50,i was watching a 80's movie and then 😮😮😮 i ran to get my cell phone and open soundhound... OMG too many memories came out in my mind i cant believed im hearing it again after all these years ..its a 💎 Diamond
@@StumpyJGThe version that is the duet version that was the original before the instrumental has the lyrics and that brings out all the more emotions from the year 1985, the year both versions, instrumental and lyrical charted, and the year that the movie, "St. Elmo's Fire" had been released.
I can never listen to this song once. It always has to be twice. I have to hear the emphasis of every instrument, especially the drums and piano. David made a masterpiece with this one.
I do love DAVID FOSTER... Whenever I listen to this song every time, ..I feel an intense spark and eternal flame in my heart....FOREVER.....😍😍🤩🤩❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Though older than the characters of the film, I can identify with their post college struggles and grasping life. I had to do the same thing. But it was worth it. Love the soundtrack and the film. PS. Having served in the military prior to college, including 3 tours in Germany and 2 stateside tours (one with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) I'd already gained the maturity and resourcefulness to make post college life work.
The Georgetown version of this is one of my favorite songs ever written. In fact, so much… That I’ve recorded my own version that lasts for about 15 minutes. Because the original I think it was like 2 1/2 minutes or something. It’s such an addicting, wonderful instrumental… And then he made a version with vocals. So there were three versions of this song. One was this one, the other was Georgetown, and the third one was I called just for a moment. Which was this song with vocals. Georgetown is the best though.
Amo este tema. Me recuerda caminando bajo la lluvia. Junto a mi hmna. Cuando eramos unas niñas. En casa mi padre y la familia. Fueron momentos muy felices que ya no volveran.
@@abdulkarim1117Yes, and if you have not heard the original lyrical version that also charted in 1985 for the movie, "St.Elmo's Fire", that brings it out all the more than the instrumental version.
Hard to believe this masterpiece is 39 years old now.
So wonderful seeing David Foster smiling while playing this, enjoying it like all of us
