    What a great idea and it looks nice !
    I'm really impressed with your exhaust system, looks and sound beautiful !
    I'm watching and learning as much as I can as I'm planning on building one in the near future.

      Thanks for the comment. The exhaust was a ton of work but worth it. I've had a few who have been around Cobras with traditional side pipes and they comment on just how different it sounds. I love the fact that my wife and I can have a conversation while driving-- it's not too loud... loud, but not so loud that it's fatiguing. And now I'm just waiting for some warm dry weather to do some driving!

    I’ve watched all of your videos. Great build and impressive thoughtfulness and ingenuity. Quick question as I’ll be building one shortly - which Holly Sniper system did you go with? And would you recommend it?

      Hi, thanks for the nice note.
      I’m using the Holley Sniper unit that precedes the Sniper 2 released this year. Yes I like it and would recommend it. All of my little issues regarding a rough idle were related to an exhaust leak. It’s super easy to adjust and has always started perfectly. Nice tech support too.

    Awesome job! I agree that the standard forward vent seems counter productive. When I saw your cardboard mock-up I immediately thought of rain gutter downspout. Did you give any thought to just having the bilge bower under the dash without any ducting? Also curious if you installed a heater?

      Yes, I actually did think about putting the fan under the dash. I couldn’t figure out a good way to pull air from a cooler spot. Also this was such an easy way to do it, it just made sense to do it this way.

      Funny you mentioned the gutter downspout. I was holding one of those trying to think if I could modify something like that to work.

      I don't know the cfm requirements but have you thought of PC fans. They make special ones for noise sensitive applications. Alternatively, have you considered wiring the fan up to a potentiometer for speed control?

      I did try a potentiometer but there must be some circuitry in the fan that prefers a constant voltage. As soon as I lowered the voltage, it just shut off.
      Honestly, the fan noise is almost imperceptible when the engine is running so I think it’s going to be good as is.

    I hear you on the warmer weather thing. My garage was freezing during this project.

      If it moves soooo much air, could you get by with a slightly smaller fan and thus: less fan noise? (Also, how did you acquire the heated seat feature?)

    • @randomwerks3763
      @randomwerks3763  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, you could definitely get by with a smaller fan, I just wasn't able to find one. These 3" bilge fans are pretty common and they all seem to be about the same. With that said, I can actually hardly hear it when with the engine running-- and my car is not that loud. @@stevegrube9179

      I forgot to comment on the seat heaters. I bought a set of Dorman seat heater pads and installed them. They slide right inside the seat covers. I believe they are only about $80 each.

    Nice, another great innovative mod, but, I still got to do the seat belts like yours on my car, got everything for it, I just need some free time and nicer weather
