- kenmore refrigerator 2020 The kenmore refrigerator can be very problematic and in this video i will show you few easy tips to tell you whats wrong with your refrigerator.
Symptoms:
Refrigerator Cools sometimes and dose not work sometimes
Refrigerator lights are on
refrigerator evaporator is fan running
refrigerator condenser is fan running
refrigerator compressor cold or not vibrating

no pues wow, I bought a kenmore same model paid about 2000 and my daughter left door open for half hour and it wont cool anymore😩

Try unplugging unit for 10 mins and plug back in. How old is the refrigerator?
@@3rdpersontech 2002... please help... the fan turns own, the compressors warm but no cold air blowing... I had to take all the food out and put in on my deck... really don’t know what to do...
My customer's fridge control board that I exposed after removing the 3 screws, had a red LED blinking. I unplugged it for 5 minutes. Plugged it back on. I then pressed the reset/test button on the program board once. Looked it temp display on the fridge's front. (11) (11) for test number one. Pressed it again (22) (22) showed up. Pressed it again, (33)(33) indicating 3rd test which is defrost cycle. Four press of the button is "return to normal operation"
I did this last night. This morning I called her and she told me both fresh food compartment and the freezer are both at 42°/-2° respectively. The guy who worked on it before forgot to replace the 90° nylon compression fitting elbow connecting the water pump outlet to the water door line inlet. I popped over to Ace hardware, $4.99 later I had her water dispenser working too!
@@bassinbillRC5300 What if the first press of the test button shows 88/88 ? Second was 22/22, third was 33/33, fourth reset to normal.
So where's the easy fix , I didn't watch the video for you to tell me to call them up , SMH

we bought a new kenmore elite just like yours. It is the biggest piece of crap we have ever purchased. Thank God we had the extended warranty and the compressor replaced once already. It makes more noise and various different noises all the time. I am going to load it with fertilizer and blow it to hell where it belongs. Never buy a Kenmore.
Say the same about LG..because they are the same...open your Kenmore...it has all LG components...
Hello, how are you? I love it the way you explain everything very clear. I have a refrigerator Kenmore the light in front. The face is ice and water. Both of us is off. Sometimes if I disconnected the refrigerator plug it back. Everything is nice working for a couple hours, but after one hour or two hour the light off and the light off you push for the water or ice none of hisworking I don’t know what’s the problem if you explain that for me appreciate it

Ok here’s my problem same junk Kenmore fridge. Literally the day after the warranty expires the compressor fails. I paid 1k to have it fixed ok. Six months later it all of a sudden stops working. I have a technician come over and check it out he says the fridge is shot. Being that I can’t afford a new fridge I unplugged it and then couple days later I plugged it back in and started working. I’ll six months later the thing defrost again and it’s not cooling any idea what’s going on? I have it unplugged it and I plan on trying to plug it back in again to see if I can get another six months out of it because I sure as hell can’t afford another fridge. Thanks great video by the way quick into the point.

Do you know anything about the self diagnostic feature that you can supposedly have it send some audio beeps or whatever and hold your phone up for a technician to analyze what it is reporting - there are steps within my Kenmore refrigerator manual but it doesn’t tell you what the sounds might mean and Sears wants to charge just to analyze it by phone ?
40-yr old Amana in garage still working great. 6 or 7 yr old Kenmore elite doesn’t cool. You think things would be getting better.
kenmore 111.7303 freezer is cold but refrigerator is not
that’s a diff mod that could be a damper issue. Or if it’s double evap a evap fan motor

111 models are made in Mexico by Daewoo, and no parts are available according to Sears customer service. A throw away appliance!
Sears doesn't exist anymore. I guess I'm screwed.
They do google A&E factory service in your area
I will save you a lot of time. This guy just wants you to change the compressor no matter what the problem.

I have this exact model made in 2017 the fridge is running 50 degrees and freezer is running 38 degrees. I took off the panel and I don’t see a light flashing. Does this mean it isn’t a compressor? I just don’t want to call a repair person and be told it’s a compressor when it’s not.
It’s more then likely still the compressor. Or it may also be a leak. But lean more to compressor

You need a compressor or there is a restriction. How old is the unit ? And have the compressor been changed before?

I have a neighbor who has the same refrigerator and the red lights flashing red three times. It's cooling a little but not enough. There's a good door seal on the fresh food upper compartment and the freezer has a good seal by using a piece of newspaper and testing the door seal when both the upper doors are closed and the lower doors closed.
Mine was brand new in May of 2019. Model 795.7410#. Woke this morning to the ice maker in the door full of water. Literally opened the door and water splashed out all over the place. The freezer food was thawing and everything in the fridge was warm Unit has power, and it sounds like something is running, but it is no longer cooling. Took off the back panel and no light is blinking on the mainboard. Any ideas? Thanks for making these videos.
Sounds like you may need a compressor call for service the compressor is covered on the warranty but you may still have to pay for labor

I have a kenmore french door fridge. Almost 2 yr old. The freezer is working fine. Have the fridge set on 33 and it is barely cooling. Took panel off and there isnt a blinking light. Checked the coils and not dirty. Any thoughts?
You said the freezer is working fine? Do you have ice cream in the Frezzer? Is it frozen solid ? If the ice cream is frozen solid. Then you may have a evap fan issue in the refrigerator section. Is the kenmore the same as listed in this vidoe ?

It may be a different model. The model number starts with 111750 im not home to look up the rest. Ill check the ice cream when i get home. The fridge feels like room temp. The sodas are not cold enough to drink without ice. I unplugged it for about 15 min yesterday and no difference
@@kennethrich1942 is the refrigerator at the top and freezer at the bottom? If so check the ice cream like I said. If the cream cream is still frozen solid. More likely a evap fan issue. If your ice cream is soft more likely a seal system issue.

Yes it is a french door fridge. Is the fan in the back of the unit at the bottom?

what is the purpose of the refrigerant valve aju34510512 located beside the compressor ? is it an electronic metering device? just curious.
Mine has no light flashing and compressor is not hot. What could it be its ? It was cooling till this morning. The ice melted and top and bottom stop cooling. How it was.

No flashing light no cooling, compressor running fan cooling high side coils. That has a bump in the middle? There s a fuse above the light w small bump in center... thanks

The light is not always on if the technician tap the line and a conveyor will be a compressor

woke to a warm fridgeit says 40 degrees and freezer 0 degrees (dont think so) looked in back panal no blinking lights. i can hear somthing running inside but not cooling only had fridge little over 2yr mmaybe three from sears its a kenmore elite bottom freezer

No light blinking, no longer cooling. Fan is running. Compressor is running but louder than usual. Unit is 9 years old
What happens if the light doesn't flash at all?
If the lights dose not flash but the unit is still not cooling. You will need a tech to come out to tap the line of the compressor and check the pressure
@@3rdpersontech OK so the light is off and the freezer is good but the temp. on the refer says 33°F but the items temp is at 59 and 60° is that ok??
@@MikelTheola1 how cold is the Frezzer? If the Frezzer is still freezing stuff like 10 f or lower. Then it sounds like you may just need a fan for the refrigerator section however this is me guessing that this unit is the shared air unit that shares air from the freezer to the refrigerator

Great. Do you know how to clear the defrost water drain. Water builds up in a tray on the ceiling of the fridge unit in my kenmore model 970R4224420 fridge then overflows onto fridge shelves and fills up at the bottom of the fridge. Appears to be a block but I can’t get that unit on the top of the fridge off to clear the drain.

If you don’t have flashing lights then put your hand on the compressor is it hot to the touch ? Also how old is your unit? And is it not cooling at all ?

Kenmore Elite 795.72053.110 LED not blinking at all ...but its not cooling what could be the issue...compressor vibrates and heating up, Fan near compressor and inside one working too all lights inside and the panel display working fine...This one has quieter compressor than previous fridges though but fridge not cooling at all..?? Appreciate your, readers input ...
I have similar issue with a similar model. 74023, compressor vibrates, all fans working, cleaned coils. Compressor does not get hot to touch. No led indications from PCB.

I did the mother board Reset, so thats working fine , put the 3 in 1 start kit for compressor Still no progress...
@@straighttalk12 replaced PCB, no progress. Sears service comes out in 2 weeks. I got a Kenmore elite so compressor has 10 year warranty. What is the 3 in 1 start kit?

so did you notice any LED blinking on PCB board before replacing it..?? The number of blinks give some idea about problem i heard in above video ..anyways its replaced , Hope they didnt charge you for it ..
@@straighttalk12 no blinking LEDs when compressor was hooked up. When I unhooked con1 from PCB and ran fridge in test 2, the LED started blinking since there was no compressor signal.
The # of times light blinks means different faults.😒

Mine is Kenmore Elite 795.72053.110 It doesnt have LED ...but i hear one click and then compressor starts so does the fan below...but fridge not cooling at all..?? what could be the problem..? any guess any one ??
I got same model....There is LED...you might have missed it.....My LED not blinking , and I hear compressor and fan ..Inside Fan ...Display panel , lights all work good but cooling..

how are people calling this video informational?? the LED blinks differently for various issues (this being 6 flashes if i counted correctly) and you say call a professional. what do different flash counts mean? you did even mention other variables like relays
That part of the vid about lights flashing was for basic information not for technician. And this unit as a inverted compressor which dose not use a relay. Thanks for your comment 😃
What is wrong with you people. This video shows you a green light flashing that's it..! See a professional!! Are you kidding me!! $500-$1000 dollars.., Heck no! You need to take the bottom panel off of the back of the refrigerator and check the compressor and relay switch. Relay switch is very easy to remove.There are videos here on TH-cam that will show you what to do. (And as always unplug the refrigerator before taking any parts off to replace.) If you need to replace anything usually the model and serial number for your refrigerator is inside the refrigerator. Good luck...and save some money!

Unless a person has experience with the brazen you’re not fixing this for a compressor job. This vidoe is to educate customers. So they know what to expect and do Basic diagnose themselves
@@3rdpersontech why don’t you post a video on how to replace the compressor instead of telling us to spend upwards of 500-1000 for a technician to fix it. I am more than able to fix it myself I just don’t know where to start nor do I know what to do, if a video was posted I’d be able to do it. Otherwise it would take me 5+ hrs to figure it out but I know I’ll fix it.

For that model # u may need a fan or something. What is happening to the unit not cool at all? Or dose the freezer works a bit but the refrigerator is hot ?
@@3rdpersontech thank you for responding. The freezer works perfectly it even makes ice. I had a tech come out about 3 times to check it. They told me they had orders some parts. The parts got here after the warranty and they won’t honer it. I received a circuit-mother board and a orange cable. I’m thinking of just switching it myself but don’t what that orange cable is too. I can’t see that both the fan in the back and inside the fridge are running and so is the compressor. It feels hot but no cold air flowing to the fridge.
