Thank you Dr Berg. I’ve had high blood pressure for over 30 years. I’m lowering it with the information I’m learning from you. My doctor has no idea how insulin resistance and low potassium affect blood pressure. I’m doing your keto , supplementing with D3, K2, zinc and B1. My blood pressure is continually dropping. It went from 228/120 to now 130/85. I’m continuing to work on it. I want to get it to 110/70.

I am 42 years old and started following your advice (Keto and OMAD) last year. I had struggled with my blood pressure since I was 26 years old and tried everything to lower it without medication. Nothing worked UNTIL I started this lifestyle. Within 6 months of changing my diet I was able to get off of my blood pressure medication and stay off of it for over a year now. Plus I've lost 65 pounds as well. I've never felt better and I sincerely thank you. You've saved my life.

Masood Tahir The only thing I do was what Dr. Berg teaches. If you search it on TH-cam or on his site you'll be able to find it. I eat one meal a day. 6 ounces of protein, 7-10 cups of green leafy vegetables, 30-40 grams of fat, no more than 20 grams of carbohydrates and absolutely no sugar. That's all I did and I got amazing results. Good luck to you!

chad good Spot on mate, they don’t teach Dr’s much about Nutrition and They just sprout the information from studies done years ago that have now been disputed. Dr Berg teaches the truth and Dr Mercola has a book out “Fat for Fuel “ and explains how we have been duped by many of the Medical Profession along with Big Pharma and the Food Industry guidelines against Saturated fats. He also shows how HCLF and manufactured oils cause heart attacks etc. in which They knew would cause medical problems in the future, (cash cows). Whatever you have been taught about Saturated Fats throw it out. I had to change everything I believed in for 50+ years, follow Dr Berg as he’s one of the good guys. God bless you on your journey 👌🏻

Chad, yes, sadly conventional western medicine doesn’t know the truths about nutrition and how the body works, that’s not what’s taught in med school. They treat symptoms, not root cause.
It has its place, but you have to Dr. yourself if you want to be healthy and pill free.

I am 66 years old and a year ago i developed high blood pressure. I have never been a user of medications my entire life outside of perhaps an aspirin every once in awhile. My blood pressure was in the 180 level over 95 and at the advice of my doctor i went on blood pressure medication. This took my blood pressure down to 135 to 140 over 90 to 95. I check my blood pressure twice a day. After 8 weeks on keto and omad my blood pressure is now 108 over 75 so am hoping to get off my medication. Thankyou for your efforts on educating the public that pills are not the only answer.

@@AhmedadanAli Everyone is different. What worked for me, might help you too but also may not. It is always best to start with lifestyle changes first because taking blood pressure meds dont agree with many men. Once you get on BP meds there is a good chance for erectile dysfunction. If thats important to you, you have to be aware. My uncle takes lisinopril and he hasn’t felt good since starting it. He said it ruined the quality of his life. Lower your sugar/carbs to less than 100grams per day and see if it helps. If not, lower the intake another 25 grams. Diet modification, exercise, and losing weight can help. Your bp isnt that high, so a few tweaks can lower it. I would only use meds as a LAST RESORT.

💜My husband and I have been on keto for over a year and he is lost 80 pounds. He has diabetes, renal failure and congestive heart failure, we just found out about the congestive heart failure. And so he can't eat a lot of potassium because of the kidney failure. So we do have a some issues with the potassium. So we had to tweak the keto diet that hes on but we still maintain the 20 to 50 carbs per day for both of us and he feels a lot better. Hes having trouble keeping is glucose under A 160 at night in the morning it goes back to normal. In the past year he has a had to use any insulin and now he does because they have on all kinds of medications because his heart is so bad (his ejection fraction rate is 30 - 35%)and he has a GFR of 11. So he is in bad shape but we have faith that the keto diet is doing its job to keep him in better shape than what he could have been in with out it. ☆Good news: both our cholesterol came down with keto and triglycerides way below normal! Thank you for your videos! We love them and get a lot from them! I share them with him all the time and his friend so I'm hoping that this helps him. Again thank you very much for spreading the word! 💜

I'm surprised Dr. Berg said nothing about magnesium in a blood pressure video. Magnesium does an excellent job of balancing electrolytes like potassium and sodium. It also is a very effective calcium channel blocker. Magnesium is also a smooth muscle relaxer, the very kind that lines our artery walls called endothelial cells. All these things will help lower blood pressure. I guess we can call a magnesium supplement nature's blood pressure medication. The form I've found to be the easiest to absorb is magnesium bisglycinate chelate. A daily dose of 600mg - 800mg is recommended. With that level of dose, any other form would have me running to the bathroom every hour.

I do keto and intermittent fasting with increased salt intake since I started last May, all of a sudden two weeks ago I got hypertension!! I thought “oh if I go to the doctor she’ll get overexcited and I’ll get put on some weird tablet” so I searched the internet, you popped up about Potassium, I bought potassium. I do need to take about 3000mg but it works! Then I realised that when I was first of keto I ate 7-10 cups of arrugala a day but I became lazy so this might be the reason I have the potassium deficiency now, also I dropped the electrolyte… these are important (as I don’t eat much red meat) 🥩 thanks for your great video!!🎉❤

I am a migraine sufferer (3 day severe migraines as frequently as once a fortnight) - so I have been taking Magnesium supplements for many years to help me in that area. I take 300 grams morning and 300 grams at night. But despite that, my blood pressure had been creeping up. I lost 60 kilograms (132 pounds) in weight about 6 years ago and I have kept it off. I lost the weight over 3 years through calorie counting and moderate exercise. It wasn't easy. When I was at my heaviest, my blood pressure was high and I was on medication for it. After losing the weight, my blood pressure normalised and I came off the meds. But in the last few years, it has been creeping up again and I didn't want to go back on medication if I could help it. I got so sick of feeling hungry all the time and counting calories and so I decided to try the Keto way of eating. Actually it was my Plastic Surgeon who suggested it when I got a tummy tuck 7 months ago to remove all the excess skin from my stomach area from losing half my body weight. So I thought I would give it a try and I have a blood pressure monitor at home and saw that my blood pressure was coming down after I transitioned into Keto. Thanks so much for your helpful reply and if anyone reading this wants to see my before and afters of losing the 132 pounds, you will find videos on my channel. With Keto, I am not counting macros and am not interested in losing weight, just maintaining my weight. For the first time in my adult life, I do not feel hungry all the time, I do not feel obsessed with food or watching the clock to see if it is nearly meal time. Keto has made me feel like I have a much better relationship with food and I have no cravings for carbs like I used to all the time. With love from Tasmania

Hi there, I have not tracked or counted my Macros. I lost 132 pounds 6 years ago by calorie counting and moderate exercise. But I was so sick and tired of watching my calories and I felt hungry all the time. I have kept that weight off for 6 years now and I was searching for a way of eating that could maintain my weight and help me not feel hungry. I have been following the Keto diet and IF guidelines and all I have learned is by using the YT clips I see here on Keto living and Intermittent Fasting. I have simply been following the guidelines and choosing the best quality meat, leafy greens, and GOOD quality fats that I can buy. But we have no cell phone coverage where I live (I am very remote and rural) so I cannot use my phone apps to track anything. I have just been eating intuitively and in the 6 weeks on Keto, dropped a few pounds but the most important thing to me is that I am eating better nutrients, following the guidelines, staying away from a lot of the things like Keto desserts and fat bombs etc at this time and trying to eat as natural and unprocessed as possible. I hope this helps.

I've been on keto and IF since April 1, 2018 and lost 27 lbs so far. I'm pleased. My BMI is now in the high range of healthy! However, 2 weeks ago I was at urgent care and they took my BP and it was sky high, top number in the 200's! I've noticed this earlier this year when I had crown work done at the dentist, though I don't know the numbers. Anyway, 2 weeks ago I ended up going to E.R. at the urging of the urgent care P.A. My BP was 229 over 160! I was there for 4 hours to get the numbers down. After EKG and blood work for kidneys, heart and liver, I was sent home with no obvious symptoms. I am monitoring it now and yes, even at home it's high, though more like 150/90 ish, I have a cardiologist, next week I have a stress test with him since the echo and EKG at his office showed nothing. All this to say, I have this feeling that stress is playing a major role in my high BP. I'm taking Berg's long, slow walks 2-3x a week, for an hour and trying to eliminate stressful situations. Been given 2 diff. BP meds and hope to get off of those.

Dr. Berg, I'm having major difficulties in this area as I write this. I've lost 51 pounds in 11 weeks. I increased my potassium levels to about 4,300 per day. Then I started to feel fatigued, muscle weakness, low energy, sleeping maybe 3 hours per night, and my blood pressure went sky high. I didn't double check that taking Lisinopril for my high blood pressure would have such an adverse affect. I stopped taking the Electrolyte Powder and stopped the kale smoothies. I'm still not feeling well and now I'm stuck as to how to proceed. Hope you can give me some guidance.

When I research what foods and herbs could interact with my medication i find that consuming too much potassium isn't good while on this med. Things like hibiscus tea I can't drink cuz I'm taking hydrochlorothiazide. The ER doctor told me to drink 2 liters water and 1/2 banana a day. I didn't eat bananas cuz I was afraid of having too much potassium. I want to get off this med. Last BP was 133/78 so hopefully with my low dose I can find other ways to keep it normal range. Good luck to you!

I said, "So you going to put me on a statin?" He said, "I never put anyone on a statin. Just take Niacin." Huh? This was 15 years ago and he said, Niacin beats all statins in lowing cholesterol. "So doc, why do they prescribe them and not tell people to get Niacin?" His answer... You don't get kick backs on Niacin.

Just 2-3 weeks into a very low carb diet with plenty leafy veggies, my blood pressure improved to normal (~124/80) from way higher ~ 165/95. Having suffered from high blood pressure (and increasing medicine which didn’t help lower it) for some 15 years, my happiness is beyond words.
Another 4 months of normal blood pressure, I halved the blood pressure medicine, without doctor permission (dangerous !!) and I’m still fine.
That take it to today ..... And I’ll see the doctor about eliminating or even lowering the medicine further.
Very low carb + plenty leafy vegetables + never over eat + no alcohol + no smoking + 2 hrs exercises daily = really helps lower blood pressure. BTW I also lost 10kg, got a normal waistline (now waistline = half of height), and moderate fatty liver is normalised as well.

He wants us to eat more vegetables to raise our potassium because most Americans do not get enough through their diet. Thats why he sells the potassium suplement.
So if we raise our potassium to the adequate daily levels it will help to regulate out salt levels because they work together.

I found Ivor Cummins online nd it changed my life Then I found you and started Keto..However a creepy thing happened to me .I arranged a calcium test at the hospital but was all but refused it when I arrived for the appointment ,excuses given that were flimsy at best Later that evening I received a strange phone call from an unknown doctor that more or less told me that I was to do as I was told, take the meds prescribed I WOULD have another heart event anyway It was very upsetting I arranged another Calcium test in the UK but Covid arrived and it never happened Sadly for me I did have another event a TIA caused by a severe shock ( as doc Berg found with all his other stroke patients ) I am now recovering but back under the supervision of these doctors It scares me to death i don't trust them My BP has been all over the place on their meds down to 113/43 I could barely walk upstairs .I am now trying to control it myself

All the other coronary arteries had a score of zero. It might well be that some problems with elevated BP are related to partial obstruction of the LAD artery. It's unclear why the calcium is concentrated only in certain places. I have long been taking vitamin K2. It isn't preventing BP elevation.

One month on Keto. cholesterol 205 to 170. Blood pressure in the normal range. Eliminated Amlodipine 2.5 mg and Lisinopril 30 mg. and i was concerned that i should take these drugs for life. i'm free!
Thank you Dr. Berg, Dr. Berry, and the rest of the Keto family.
