I just bought an 85 gal. and will be plumbing it into my house tomorrow. I can't wait to never have to think about my hot water heater again. Thank you for using your heads and coming up with a great product! Chinese-made drain valve, though? I wanted to see nothing but made in USA. Now I'll have to replace it.

Nicely done and very informative regarding your quality assurance program. Lots of people have questions about these tanks so I appreciate this manufacturer presentation. Wish you had it at a higher resolution than 240p as shown, not suitable for class room presentations :( We love to learn how things are made and what design principals were considered/improved.

Wish they would have made all the tank connections shark-bite compatible!
That would have made installation, and trouble-shooting a breeze, plus eliminated a lot of potential leak points.

My Marathon water heater worked flawlessly for12 years and 9 months. Then the copper sleeve inside the outlet fitting ( inside the water heater) , leaked. Brass would not have deteriorated as the copper did. Because this was part of the water heater, and cannot be replaced or repaired, is it covered by the warranty which replaces the water heater?

Did they replace it for free? spose to have lifetime warranty

So did they warranty your heater?

I have a very nice Reem Marathon 40gl and all hell has broke through, it appears to be leaking everywhere. The over flow emergency brass piece is leaking underneath it. Any idea what's wrong? I know everything about a Gas hot water heater. I know spit about this. Sorry about my anger. I'm a crippled up old man leaking all over. Lol 😂 please help me understand what is wrong with my Marathon. Thanks. Larry

I like the metal reinforcement on the caps of the tank but I wish it was stainless instead of galvanized steel. Mine new has rust spotting all over it.

I don't care how energy efficient you call a water heater, if your waiting 3 minutes for hot water your wasting all that energy efficiency (Water, Sewer Fees, and wasted energy down the drain)! Design your house with gravity circulation for your hot water. This system when installed by a professional plumber has an average hot water delivery of 5 to 6 seconds at all faucets. Pumps move water too fast average with 240 - 360 GPH compare with 2.5-3.5 GPH by a grav-flow loop design. It's simple design your home with the water heater at a lower level and this allows the hot water to lift and run horizontal for as far as 300 foot, therefore spreading the hot water across the whole home or building. This will help cut your water waste 10,000 - 20,000 gallons per year. That's 200 to 400, 50 gallon water heaters heated up and then just thrown down the drain or 84-167 hours a year running your faucet (based on 2 GPM).

Marathon does not have an anode rod.

Because there is nothing for the anode to protect.
