Fate is limited by the nation/country you live in. If you're in the Balkan, you will see two wars in your lifetime. If you are born in Kongo, you will most likely not make it to your 5th birthday.

I love Chris's inability to slap together a YT short. I'm kindve sick of that video formatting cluttering the doom scrolling. 5 mins on this topic I already feel pretty solid on was perfect.

I believe it’s not that complicated if you can accept that two things can be true at the same time. Some events are fated and out of our control and that can lead us to events or paths where our free will choice then sews the seeds of our future fate that will, once again, be out of our control. We have a say and then we don’t, but it’s based on your capacity to learn from your experiences.

I keep looking at the transits for my brother's chart on the day he was murdered. I don't see anything particularly out of the ordinary. Astrologically, it was a day like any other. That's kind of terrifying to me. Of course, I don't know enough about the deeper concepts of astrology to tell one way or another. An expert could probably look at that transit chart and go "Yikes! Of course!" Maybe there was something in the nodes, or the vertex, or the part of fortune. Or maybe we're all just at the whim of a totally random universe where nobody is guaranteed tomorrow no matter what they do.

I have 3 yods in my chart nd at this point in my life, hindsight is a positive experience ..and we sometimes forget that the biggest part of manifestation or any thing predestined is to entrust the certainty that universe is always working for us not to , but is it 3D Se it’s so hard to give up the control , I have found that having faith in the universe and the outcome will be bigger better than I could’ve even thought” quotation mark shoot for the moon aim for Mars”, BELIEVE it’s on its way!- shows up and GRATITUDE SHOWED that’s up to YOU, guess fate destiny nd being in the right place at the right time ? But also understanding that your guides got your butt there during some kind of astrological alignment, was predestined?

Fated choices are still choices. If you can't control your thoughts and passions, and are constantly reacting to stimuli, then you have no free will. You can still make choices, but those choices are fated. There was no way I could freewill my way past Saturn-Venus problems, or anything else in my natal chart.

i personally believe that we can assess events of our lives as being fated, but the question becomes who can determine whether or not something was fated. both the client and the astrologer have to be on the same page regarding this matter. as an astrologer, it may become easy to cross a person's boundaries by telling them, especially as they're going through a difficult time, that what they're experiencing is a fated event. the client has to be believe it first.
as a humanistic astrologer, i believe in free-will when it comes to how we can live our life. that isn't to say there is a lack of purpose, but that purpose is what one believes it to be. making sense of things is ultimately what astrology is for, and i think that it's up to us to find that meaning for ourselves.

    turned his attention back
    in the right belief
    distorted for a long time
    from many religions
Even countries that are still like that
is the source of this belief,
But it was not yet time for anyone to understand even those who set it.
    This pattern came after
Judgment, selecting people according to international rules,
only then will have the opportunity
    to study further.

I still love this subject. I’m in the (mostly) deterministic camp where I’d likely stress to try to be present. Even if there’s free will, you’d probably want to study the patterns.
I’ll give this to Chris.. song: Tool - Reflection
“And in my darkest moment, fetal and weeping
The moon tells me a secret, a confidant
As full and bright as I am
This light is not my own and
A million light reflections pass over me
The source is bright and endless
    She resuscitates the hopeless
Without her, we are lifeless satellites drifting”
My prediction is Chris will become a big tool fan and start doing episodes in blue body paint with black lights as Pluto enters further into Aquarius. (Tool & Dr. Manhattan joke)
Half way through Chris’s novel, it’s very good. I was kind of excited to see the topic of gender and sexuality to come up, that could be in interesting episode someday. (Someday, when people calm down about it).
Just bc it’s on my mind, I agree with something Demetra George mentions in her books on malefic’s (mars, especially) that it’s probably considered nocturnal since it’s more constructive in night charts.
With high anxiety rates, I’d think it’d be more helpful for us culturally to not put extra stress on the concept that we are individually/specific only to blame for whatever situation we are in or the outcome. But, that could also be the sun/Mercury in the 12th and that little demon (bad spirit) on my shoulder saying “tell them they don’t matter”… (joking on that last part)

my personal acceptance of whether fate is the best of what's possible has to come from a pov that's mostly unreachable to me right now, but my instinct says fate could only be a prison, my intuitions tell me that if fate is real, it's created, and not innate to the universe or being, and if that's the case, the 'why' is both unreachable and also the crux of any case that can be made, to my own eye.
not sure I can be at peace with fate as a concept. I think part of me will always just resist it, in a refusal towards the darker side of its implications

I had a thought today in regards to difficult and/or dysfunctional relationships, the ones that can attpt to make one side feel like they need to shoulder taking all the responsibility and how 'what we are responsible for' is our 'place of power' because the parts we are responsible for are the parts we can affect, change, improve... it is the parts we contribute and have the ability to adjust for the better (or worse) BUT when we have greater clarity of were... 'that just isn't what I am responsible for because there is not anything in my corner of choices that could make a difference of this immovable part of an event or experience' (insert fate here) so than when clear here fate, heres the part I am responsible for... much like ridding unfair shame of a difficult relationship that could attempt to have you shoulder all the responsibility.... one can ease some of that burden; while still acknowledging were they are responsible, when considering this part is or was fate
