My first house is empty. My Taurus ascendant is on Algol, and ruling Venus is in my fifth house, trine the Aquarius moon at MC. Always wondered how to interpret that.
Mercury 00 degrees ♑️ and Sun 20 degrees conjunct AC 22 degrees♑️. 🫡Thank you guys so much for all you do! I’m really excited about this new deep dive series on the houses🪐✨
Mercury Venus and Pluto in first house here! Similarly to Arnold, I crushed a beauty pageant I joined on a whim, back in my youth lol (I had like 8 weeks notice and trained like crazy)
Chris has the rare gift of explaining extremely complex concepts in a concise and palatable format. It’s truly remarkable! I feel like I’ve watched hours of astrologers explaining “xyz”. Then he reiterates it in 45 seconds in a way that actually makes sense…and I’m like “oh I get it now”.

As a Pluto in the first native, I take great pride in dying and being reborn. I’m like a snake shedding its skin. Pluto has a way of manipulating & using control tactics, (seeing the depths of things) in order to get his needs met. When he has lost his ability to meet his needs/get what he wants/control, that is when he learns to let go & detach himself from his desires. It is then when he may detach from his old self, sheds his skin & be reborn. It’s quite liberating.

I also have Uranus conjunct my ASC (in Aquarius, no less). My mom tells me my sister (sun in aquarius), is rebellious for rebellion's sake. Me, on the other hand, she calls "free spirited" -- I am sometimes rebellious, but it comes from a place of "why is this the rule, and why do I have to follow it?" Rather than just breaking the rules for shits & giggles. She's not always happy with my decision making, but it gets a little more respect.
Incredibly thorough! I am so excited and ready to watch every single episode of this series. The specific placements of planets in certain houses is something I’ve struggled with interpreting in my own chart as a novice learner. Thank you!!

This channel is the only one, where I can give a "Like" for every video, even without having watched it yet. It's always high class material! Amazing work! Thank you, Chris Brennan!
I have a very active 1st House! Mercury, Neptune, Jupiter and Venus. Capricorn Rising. Mercury and Neptune are conjunct at 0 deg and my ASC is conjunct Jupiter and Venus at a wider orb. It’s been a very interesting life, especially after all the transits passing through recently.
I have Neptune conjunct Ascendant exact. I relate to what was mentioned about Jim Carey's mystical side. It also reminded me of Robert Hand saying something like...Saturn is the illusion that there is a reality, and Neptune is the reality that there is not.
I loved the planets and signs series and I wondered if you'd ever do a planet in the houses series, I'm so happy you did! I have the Sun, Mercury, Venus and also Chiron and the north node in the first house in Libra so this episode is a big one for me!
I have a stellium in my first house. Pluto, sun, mercury and jupiter all in Sag, the latter 3 conjuct. The standing out part bc of the sun being there is very obvious for me. I have a medium large mole in my right cheek, basically forming the sun symbol on my face if you look from the right. People tend to notice it at first sight. When it comes to health, I can say that I'm very blessed, because, with the exception of very specific things (spoiler), i don't usually get sick. So, I've been thinking of jupiter as being the reason for that. Regarding transits, while saturn made a conjuction with my natal sun, I had a parasite that was a little tricky to detect (around 1-2months) and it made my heart (sun) accelerate to the point of almost passing out. They detected the parasite and gave me treatment while saturn started to retrograde and in 10 days I was healed.
As an Aries Rising with my inner planets falling in the 10th, 11th and 12th Houses, I'm gonna find it quite hard to stay patient lol but then I know the videos and insights therein shall be worth the wait! Thank you Chris for starting off a new, much-needed series!!! ✨
Im Neptune/Scorpio rising and just like you said with Jim Carrey-I see us all as individual experiences of different energies as opposed to “a person”- a combination of frequencies experiencing A LIFE. How lovely to hear this coming from “somewhere else”- thank you for this❤
I am super grateful for this episode. My daughter has nine planets in her first house, all of them except the moon. The seventh house is the keeper of the 🌕 She’s three months young now. So nine planets and Capri rising the first house. Can’t wait to see her life on earth unfold XOXO
@@idamyrevik oh myyy!!! She will really be something special!! As a capricorn sun, AC, mercury , i understand the capricorn journey and honestly it can be really tough and feel lonely, but also super rewarding eventually once we find our souls path. We are slow to grow but improve with age. People with strong ♑️ cant stand phoniness, we see through peoples BS similar to Scorpio. Our biggest downside is when we get down, we can get Really down , and depressed. Stuck even. I learned that , that is partly what the goats fishtail represents. Being Ruled by Saturn, we are melancholic by nature but thats not necessarily a bad thing! That moon in the house of the DC,(must be cancer assuming you are talking whole sign houses) should help balance her a bit. Adds Some warmer more nurturing energy. Do you watch Adam Elenbaas? I love the way he talks about capricorn way beyond surface stereotypes. So illuminating. From him I learned that Capricorn is “The Gateway of the Gods”…
Thank you very much Chris. It really cannot be taken for granted to provide such insightful content for free, so I'm really thankful! Especially the different natal planets in the 1st house was nice. I gave myself a quiz: I stopped the video to describe the significations of the given planet within the 1st house and then proceeded the video. This method is highly educational.
I have Pluto in the first, late in Libra, and I've noticed that as Pluto moves through the houses, I experience a transformation in the themes of the house Pluto's occupying in a way that seems more intense than for others with the dates being pretty exact. It moved into the 2nd just as I was starting preschool and learning about the talents and resources that would eventually become my life's work-in school I was immediately clocked as artistic and intellectual (Hello, Libra rising...). Pluto was in my 3rd from high school through graduate school when I was learning deeply discovering that intellectual matters were crucial to my life's purpose (and writing-I studied literature and have a grad degree in creative writing), and that in living on my own, being in a city in the right neighborhood for me was crucial to my well-being. In 2008 when Pluto went into my 4th, I immediately got divorced and became a single mom, and continued to redefine my personal conception of family which is very different than what I grew up with. Now as Pluto has been in the pendulum between my 4th and 5th, I've been detaching from the last shreds of holding boundaries with codependent parents and moving into an art career, having just become a full time artist and showing my work in galleries.
Yes! My Pluto in 1st is conjunct my Ascendant and NN. I have discovered that the theme of birth or rebirth in my life correlates with the house Pluto is moving through in my chart.
Brad Pitt - 1st house Sun. I have always thought every role he has ever played is some version of himself. He has such a strong personality. I listened to the Fight Club DVD commentary years ago and his personality has that Sagittarius fun when he is being just himself.
I have this vintage purse with the signs printed all over it and he was sitting near my stuff in the extras holding area on Babylon set and got to chit chat about both of us having a sag & cap stellium! He’s so chill!! 🫠
@@Futureghost.. Lucky!! I would not be able to remain calm. I'm not surprised he is aware of his astrology, I imagine he has either researched himself or gone to an astrologer. What an awesome story and memory. Thanks for sharing.
Fun additional facts about Tycho Brahe - he helped his sister become one of the few female scientists at the time (Jupiter and Venus in first house). He started studying at the university of Copenhagen as 12 years old (Jupiter return). He became interested in astronomy when he saw a partial solar eclipse in Leo, opposite his ascendant.
I have no planets in my first house. But my north node is chilling there. As someone who is learning, this will be very helpful since a few of my practice readings have had planets in the 1st. Thank you so much for publishing work like this for fellow students of the stars ✨🖤😊
OMG my daughter has Saturn, Sun and Mercury conjunct in her Scorpio first house. Precocious? I'll say! And everything else you said about her other planets in the first. Thanks for doing this series!
When Uranus and Jupiter transited my 1st house near my solar return last year, I had a sudden change of heart about astrology and became very interested in the topic. 6 months later, I’m thinking about becoming an astrologer as a career.
I absolutely love this podcast! Always get stoked when I see a new episode pop up! Thank you for sharing the wisdom and knowledge, been an astrology geek for years!
This information was brilliant. It was a practical application... Would have loved to hear about the placement of north node and South node in the first house and coming house videos..
I am an Aries Ascending, a Libra Sun with a quasi stellium, and a Scorpio Moon with a stellium. I was once told by an astrologer that people don't know "where I'm coming from" because I have these opposite natures. I have a natural chart, so my Ascendant is in my first house, which often confuses me as far as gaining understanding. I am immersing myself in all of your videos, taking notes and learning so much. I am determined to understand what makes me tick as well as doing the charts of others around me in an effort to foster better relationships in general. Thank you for sharing so much. I want your book, but it's currently out of stock. 💜
Phenomenal job gentlemen! Nick your depth of knowledge across history is astounding. Thank you both for such a detailed understanding of each planet in first house with tremendous examples.
Thank you Chris and Nick. This was very informative. I am an identical twin, and it has been interesting to see how our first house planets have manifested uniquely. We have Mars and Jupiter in Libra. I was born with a benign tumor that was growing in excess in my thigh. Astrologically, I have attributed this to Jupiter since medically it is associated with excess growths. I got surgery as an infant and so was left with a pretty massive scar. The scar isn't as challenging now that I'm older but growing up I did face body insecurities which affected my relationships. (Mars ruling 7th house Aries) For my sister, her health wasn't affected, Mars manifested more so in her personality. She dressed as a "tomboy" and was very defiant from an early age and still is, often speaking to the elephant in the room whether the family is comfortable and ready or not. Anyways just wanted to share! Thank you again :) Can't wait for the second house episode!
Hello, fellow super Virgo! 🌿 I am also Virgo Rising, Virgo Sun, Virgo Mercury all in first house-all conjunct in the center of Virgo (opposite Jupiter in Pisces).
Aaaah I wish you would’ve covered the retrogrades as well. This prompted me to look up the meaning of Neptune R in my 1st house (Scorpio). It is trining my Merc conj. Chiron in my 5th (Pisces) as well as Jupiter in my 9th (Cancer). As a child, I had social anxiety and extreme shyness, to the dismay of my Aries Sun. All my life, I tended to be introspective, and when I’m anxious or depressed, I isolate. As a teenager and young adult, I was very physically attractive, and almost became a model. I was always told that I had a mysterious look, and I had almond shaped eyes that were very penetrating. I I am very intuitive and have always been able to detect the subtle currents in behavior and conversations, which gives me a great BS meter and allows me to intuit peoples intentions. Also, I have been a lifelong energy healer, having been introduced to it when I was 13 years old. I am in my late 50s now. In 2021 I had a kundalini awakening, and I’ve been able to get into really deep meditations since then. Til this day, I struggle with discerning the information I receive intuitively, even though it’s been accurate most of the time. I am transitioning my career in the tech industry to being a full-time energy, healer, and meditation/spiritual teacher. By the way, my Mars is in the 12th house.
I love this so much because Neptune is Universal Love and it the influence seems to have steered you to practice this. So cool. Neptune being retrograde maybe just made it take a little longer to intuit your ultimate purpose. I know 2 people who have Neptune in the 1st and they are both incredibly attractive as well. Lucky you.
Love this, and I identify with some of it - I have Neptune Rx on my Scorpio ascendent as well, trine my Pisces stellium (Merc/Mars/Sun/Chiron) in 4th house. Definitely a good mix for psychic-like intuition, strong BS meter, and super spidey sense. With so much Piscean/Neptunean energy, you'd think I'd be in a dreamy fog much of the time, but I'm pretty grounded (by some Virgo connections to all). Also, my sense is that Neptune retrograde lifts the potential fog a bit, and Scorpio keeps things real. Plus I have domicile Saturn in Aquarius, conjunct IC and widely square Neptune, anchoring me into reality.
@@PiscesStelliumyikes sounds like we have very similar charts! I am easily turned around in the fog however, when I am not being intentional with grounding. Whenever Chris referenced Dolores Cannon as an example of Neptune on the AC and essentially a deceptive character (maybe even a little loco) I LoL’d because I have bought her story, hook, line and sinker! 🐠😵💫💫
@@CalmLisa I've been open to the potential of some of the things Delores Cannon and other out-there story tellers talk about, but at the end of the day, I need more definitive proof to become a believer - thinking that's my Saturn & Mercury placement at the root of my chart, lol.
Great episode and very informative and helpful for a deeper understanding. I have my moon in my first house in capricorn and I have an amazing memory. I use it for my work because people tell me very personal things as a therapist and I can remember dreams and stories that they have told me like ten years ago and it's very much important to my work.
the amount of research you do for these episodes is astounding, Chris. PS I have gem asc, with uranus there too, leo stellium and so in younger days had eclectic career in public eye. Thanks for all you do.❤
Cancer rising with Jupiter & Uranus conjunct ascendant. Moon in Aries in 10th Have emigrated 7 times, sailed nearly around the world. Have felt/been perceived like an outsider many times.
Finding out about my Scorpio rising was like the key to my life. In relationships I always lost myself in the other person and my sun, mercury, venus, jupiter and saturn are all in Taurus. My 1h is empty of major placements but it does have my part of harm (it might be called something else it’s been a while since I discovered that and learned about it.) and I’ve had a chronic illness all my life also my mars in the 8h so chart ruler in a bad house too. I also finally understood why I felt so different from other people, paranoid often, preferred being alone, and never fully understood myself.
Im trying to piece my pluto story together. I have my sun, venus, mercury in Taurus as well and Mars in 8th house. Currently going through a deep transformation that i feels very lonely and different from everyone else. Please share any other insights you might have about these placements, it feels so hard to understand :)
I have a 29 degree ASC in Taurus. I have an out of sign conjunction with my 1H Sun in Gemini conj Taurus ASC as well as Venus in Gemini 1H. I have to say I’ve listened to Chris for several years and he truly has an excellent way of communicating and articulating astrological concepts. The way he just has this ability to make astrology make sense is why I always send his videos to friends who are wanting to learn💜
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Thank you!!! So excited for this series, I was literally thinking yesterday how much I’d appreciate house deep dives from this show, and here we are. Thank you kind sirs!! 😂
I have (Sidereal) Pisces in Saturn 15° 16' in the 1st H. Listening to the various Saturn influences in the 1st H shows how powerful this planet is when it comes to heaviness and determination with things. For me, Pisces in Saturn in the 1H is about taking all matters in in life seriously.. perhaps to seriously which can lead to disappointment. Gratefully, I have a few other planet + sign placements which helps me take the edge off of the serious side of me. Interestingly, no one can ever guess my rising sign.
I am Sun/ Pluto conjunct ASC with a Mercury / Uranus conjunct late in 1st house. My life has been free spirited & intense. Lots of adventures & I have truly gone my own way! I feel like I’ve had 9 lives in one! :)
I do not have natal planets in the first house, but I am curious about the impact of first house planets in relocation charts😅. If we live a long distance from our birthplace, do first house planets in the relocation chart "activate" any significant influence to the native?
Ohhh excited to listen to this! My son has Jupiter conjunct SN, Mercury conjunct Sun, Saturn/Pluto/Asc conjunct in the first house in Capricorn. All in tight conjunctions. To say he’s stubborn and exhausting is an understatement. I’ll spend my entire parenting journey learning to parent him in ways that will support him and help him blossom in healthy ways (and me, too, as a mom!)
The modernists through the beats were hopeful. They were seekers! It’s interesting to see how the transits of the 60’s as well as the progressions of writers at the time transformed the voice and the style of what was wanting to be expressed. It’s like they wanted to bust the system, and in the wake of the system dissolving, were so disillusioned by that loss-they didn’t bother to create a new better one. They let the post structuralists like lacan take over . (I did my senior seminar on the beats and am a pro astrology) this is great stuff.
My son has a huge stellium in the 1 h in Virgo. Sun. Venus. Mercury. Mars. He’s a song writer and produces and manages other artists. He has a Scorpio moon.
Exciting. Can’t wait til you guys eventually get to the 11th house because that was something I always wanted to have a better grip on. 9th house also, beyond ‘higher learning’ what does it actually look like in life?
Scorpio rising, pluto, mercury and venus -1st house - Scorpio stellium and also pluto Dominant Also have my moon right at the edge of my first house, close to my second house still still in my first house, thats in Sagittarius though. So have a lot going on in my first house 😅, going to enjoy listening to this, thanks so much 😊
i will drop here a suggestion for further series, might be a interesting idea, or not but, what about the signs of the zodiac in each house and their meanings/manifestation in the chart? 🙃
I’m so interested to learn more about this. I peaked at the chart of my youngest and she has her sun, moon, ascendant, mercury, Venus, and Pluto all in Capricorn and then has her sun, moon, mercury, Venus and Pluto all placed in the first house. She’s very sweet, but I’d say pretty determined (under 2), but I’ve been curious about what it may mean. Thanks for putting this out! Excited to watch the rest of this 💜
Mars-Sun conjunction in 1st house. Late bloomer but hell-bent on moving forward and succeeding at all cost... not to be underestimated... I'm powerful and destined to overcome all adversity.
Thanks to this very instructive podcast, I've got a better understanding about myself when I was a kid and I was very rebellious in my teens 🙂 Uranus and Pluto in 1st house in Virgo, Acs Leo.
@JB-3794 the significator I'd use to describe the affect of Uranus in my first house would be pioneer. It's been especially fun in both my personal life & my career; self employed patent pursuit/protection of a well known commodity DIY sector. Uranus helped me keep those juggling plates spinning & up in the air!
Awesome, valuable content. Honestly I wouldn't have minded if at the end of each section, you just listed the rest of the people with x in the the 1st, just to have more examples to look into on our own.
Such a thorough and fascinating show. Thank you Chris and Nick. I have moon 8 degrees conjunct asc 6 degrees Gemini. I have Saturn at 7 degrees Sagittarius opposite moon. Ouch! Very challenging and yet ive finally learnt the lesson about setting boundaries, lol! ❤❤
Let us know if you have a good example of the 1st house in a separate comment below, what the placement is, and how it has shown up in your life!
1st house and Ascendant. Always the same? How about very late degree risings? I know I know... whole signs resolve this. Buuut not always
My first house is empty. My Taurus ascendant is on Algol, and ruling Venus is in my fifth house, trine the Aquarius moon at MC. Always wondered how to interpret that.

And fun fact, since all in same sign they are all considered conjunct
Stoked for this! Got three planets in the first including the ruler of Ascendant. Listening carefully!
So curious about how the nodes affects a person in their first house.
Does Nick have moon in the 1st? His memory for dates, people and facts is off the charts!!
Mercury, Venus and Pluto in my first house here! Very blessed
I love this series already. Thank you for this!
Heyy Chris I'm so thankkful to you for ur contribution to the astrology community 💗
I absolutely love that you are sharing this deep knowledge with us. Looking forward to more. Thanks, Chris!
Thank you Chris and Nick, I have a lot going on in my 1st house, that was insightful
It is impossible not to be a fan of Chris :) thanks for this wonderful episode
Wow, this is awesome! My sun, moon, rising, mercury, and POF are in the 1H. I AM who I AM sums it up perfectly 🙏🏾.
I have no planets in my first house. But my north node is chilling there. As someone who is learning, this will be very helpful since a few of my practice readings have had planets in the 1st. Thank you so much for publishing work like this for fellow students of the stars ✨🖤😊
Same here no planets just the north node in the first house
OMG my daughter has Saturn, Sun and Mercury conjunct in her Scorpio first house. Precocious? I'll say! And everything else you said about her other planets in the first. Thanks for doing this series!
I’ve been waiting for this series to come up so long after a year I finally get to see you and I’m so glad and grateful
Wooooww, I am excited about this series 💚 Thank you for doing this 😊!
Thank you for doing these series!!!
Amazing!!!!!
Thanks Chris of starting this new series, very informative and love it so much!
Virgo rising, Virgo sun, Virgo Mercury all first house. Very insightful podcast helping unlock more patterns in my natal chart!
Hello, fellow super Virgo! 🌿
I am also Virgo Rising, Virgo Sun, Virgo Mercury all in first house-all conjunct in the center of Virgo (opposite Jupiter in Pisces).
Great! I have 4 planets in my first house- the Sun, Venus, Pluto, Mercury
I'm so happy you did Kerouac's chart. He was such a huge influence on me. I had no idea his birth time was out there, so this was quite the treat!
I always learn a lot from chart examples. Thanks for a great discussion.
Great episode and very informative and helpful for a deeper understanding. I have my moon in my first house in capricorn and I have an amazing memory. I use it for my work because people tell me very personal things as a therapist and I can remember dreams and stories that they have told me like ten years ago and it's very much important to my work.
Yes yes yes!! Thank you for starting this series!!
As per usual, beautiful and concise content this was an amazing refresher. Thank you
the amount of research you do for these episodes is astounding, Chris. PS I have gem asc, with uranus there too, leo stellium and so in younger days had eclectic career in public eye. Thanks for all you do.❤
Really comforting just having your voices in the background
I would've loved to hear about the nodes in the first house. Especially Rahu.
Either way, thanks for a lovely lecture on the first house ✨
Really fascinating and informative. Thank you
This was brilliant, many thanks Chris and Nick. So helpful for my learning as a student 🙏
Really enjoyed the deep dive !!! Another example for Neptun rising is William Blake!!
Cancer rising with Jupiter & Uranus conjunct ascendant. Moon in Aries in 10th Have emigrated 7 times, sailed nearly around the world. Have felt/been perceived like an outsider many times.
Yeeeee!! Finally, it’s coming !!! What a wonderful idea this series of houses 🥳👏🏻🫶
Oh wow I’m so happy to wake up to this video this morning! Thanks Chris!!! ❤️🙌🏻 can’t wait for the whole series
Great podcast and guest. Pisces rising, with Jupiter in 1st house (depending on the house system) with Vesta and Lilith. 🌠
Yay love that you’re doing this series can’t wait for the whole 12 🎉 nothing in my 1st except part of fortune
I'm 3:06 minutes in the podcast and I can't wait ✨🌸 ☺️
I have a 29 degree ASC in Taurus. I have an out of sign conjunction with my 1H Sun in Gemini conj Taurus ASC as well as Venus in Gemini 1H. I have to say I’ve listened to Chris for several years and he truly has an excellent way of communicating and articulating astrological concepts. The way he just has this ability to make astrology make sense is why I always send his videos to friends who are wanting to learn💜
I bet you're feeling some of the recent shifts!
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thank you!!! So excited for this series, I was literally thinking yesterday how much I’d appreciate house deep dives from this show, and here we are. Thank you kind sirs!! 😂
Nick Dagan Best is such an appropriate name to give as an example for sun in the 1st
Neptune in my first I enjoy tarot reading and creating a story from the cards.😊
My son has a huge stellium in the 1 h in Virgo. Sun. Venus. Mercury. Mars. He’s a song writer and produces and manages other artists. He has a Scorpio moon.
Exciting. Can’t wait til you guys eventually get to the 11th house because that was something I always wanted to have a better grip on. 9th house also, beyond ‘higher learning’ what does it actually look like in life?
Thanks again Chris & Nick as I totally appreciate all that you both teach us as studying upcoming astrologers.
My sister has mars in the first house, dozens of small accidents, 3 brain injuries, 3 major accidents. She has survived it all though.
This was so good! Thank you both!
Scorpio rising, pluto, mercury and venus -1st house - Scorpio stellium and also pluto Dominant
Also have my moon right at the edge of my first house, close to my second house still still in my first house, thats in Sagittarius though.
So have a lot going on in my first house 😅, going to enjoy listening to this, thanks so much 😊
i will drop here a suggestion for further series, might be a interesting idea, or not but, what about the signs of the zodiac in each house and their meanings/manifestation in the chart? 🙃
Also Saturn in 1H always seems to be connected to childhood adultification
I’m so interested to learn more about this. I peaked at the chart of my youngest and she has her sun, moon, ascendant, mercury, Venus, and Pluto all in Capricorn and then has her sun, moon, mercury, Venus and Pluto all placed in the first house. She’s very sweet, but I’d say pretty determined (under 2), but I’ve been curious about what it may mean. Thanks for putting this out! Excited to watch the rest of this 💜
I'm so excited about this series. Thank you for doing this!!
I've got Mars in Aries Rising... it's been a powerful time lately with Mars being at home! 🔥❤️🔥💪🏽💥
Wow! I have Mars in Aries rising also, and my name is Shelly as well. 😮
@@richaelblewett5068 that's a neat sync ☺️
What a treat 💜 Cancer rising with Venus in my first.
Ascendant ♌️
Sun ♌️
Mercury ♌️
Uranus ♌️
NN ♌️
It's been mostly sunny, always warm and overall pretty exciting.
Sounds nice! With uranus in the first, there are no dull times, I suppose. I have Saturn on my Sun, so I envy you a little.
