Thanks Karen. I often use cotton buds when oil painting, I’ve never thought of using them for watercolour. It’s a great idea, I’ll have to give it a try !!

Only 4 colours and so much colour. Who needs a brush when I can use my wife’s credit card? I still find it easier taming lions rather than watercolour! 😳 The last time I tried anything like this it looked better with the canvas inverted!🙄

Maybe use an old credit card !! Don’t try too hard to tame watercolour, the “magic” happens when you allow it to do its own thing

They were originally used for calligraphy in Japan, or China. The smaller ones are especially useful for making thinner marks, the larger brushes can be used similarly to a mop or quill.
