That painting looks exactly like some rural areas in Finland around new year, so the fireworks kind of suited well for me :D Thanks for the very inspiring video!
une belle démonstration et on ressent le froid c’est un paysage de neige superbe.. même pas un mouton par ci par là😀 merci pour ce tuto l’époque hivernale approche et l’envie de peindre la neige en suivant tes conseils . Merci
Very instructive and useful, thank you very much! Velázquez was the old master of the limited palette, very much appreciated by some artist of all times.
This is so lovely. Thank you. Although I have lived on both the east and west coasts of the US, I am unfamiliar with a sea gate. It seems to be a structure surrounded by open area, so why is it called a gate and what is its purpose? I also must now do some research about the church you mentioned, and that coast. Thank you for your easy narration and the lovely proof of how beautiful a limited palette can be in the right hands.
Thanks Maggie. These gates are in marshes, not so much on the sea. They sometimes appear to be in open land, but usually have a ditch or small wire fence. The church is at Salthouse, Norfolk.
Very interesting to use just 3 colors.,Are you painting on dry watercolor cold pressed paper or did you wet the paper first before dropping colors on the paper?
I think that about myself. But I will try lots of practice anyway. I think I will improve. And I am sure it will teach me a lot about accepting feel frustrated but also keeping at it.
I also find it sad but that's why I like it. It evokes emotions. I painted the same scene today, using only P.blue and B.Sienna, and I'm very happy with the result. Thanks for the tutorial!
@ It’s interesting that some people find certain images either uplifting or sad. Personally, I enjoy the winter and painting snow scenes. Glad you liked the video, Michal
My eye keeps being drawn to that bit of warmth in the cloud. It's so beautiful!

Beautiful painting 🤩 and I love the 3 color theory which I read about in Hazel Soan’s book : Art of the limited palette 🤗👍 thank you for your video 🙏🏻

They had a party and didn't invite you! Outrageous 😂😂 great video, thank you.
I know, absolutely outrageous!! To be honest, I’m happier painting in the warm 😂😂
Maybe a firework scene as a painting idea 😂😂
@@phreerun1294 Great idea 😂😂
Knowing when to stop and having the courage to use only 3 colours … 😊
Thanks Rob. Knowing when to stop can occasionally be tricky. Using three colours can make things easier !!
Very interesting to use just 3 colors.,Are you painting on dry watercolor cold pressed paper or did you wet the paper first before dropping colors on the paper?
Thank you. I wet the paper with a mist bottle before starting the first wash
Thank you for your immediate reply. I love your art and clear instructions!

Now I know I will never be able to paint anything beautiful
I disagree. Everyone can paint something beautiful, it just takes time and practice
I think that about myself. But I will try lots of practice anyway. I think I will improve. And I am sure it will teach me a lot about accepting feel frustrated but also keeping at it.
Love the idea of using only 3 colors and I thank you for your video but the picture, to me, is a bit depressing. Sorry.
No need to apologise, each to their own. Thanks for watching 😊
