Oooh! Chromaflows in 150?!!!! Was gonna buy the 72, but now I'll wait! :D Thanks for the wonderful vid with so much good info. So much wonderful goodies... I'd go broke attending that convention! haha
Daniel Smith watercolors are , in my opinion, the best watercolors available. And they are expensive. This past month I bought one tube of Quinacridone Gold in the larger size and it was $23 . I bought it in Birmingham Alabama . I don’t think that’s the most expensive one either!! But I’ve been using Daniel Smith brand for over 15 years and they have no equal. Some of their colors are unique to Daniel Smith, so you can’t buy that color anywhere else.
The Holbein blue plastic watercolor boxes are AMAZING! They are magnetic so you can use magnets on your watercolor, pans to hold them in securely. And the boxes are sooooo lightweight and portable. Just perfect for on the go watercolor sketching . I have one and I love , love, love it!
Wow, thank you so much for this!!!!!! I never knew there were so many different brands, but I just bought the Sharpie Creative Markers, brush style, and I am in love with these!!! They don’t bleed through to the back of your paper, and the colors are so vibrant!!!! I do wish there were more colors, but am so appreciative of the ones I do have. But thanks again for this comparison video!!!!
Thank you so much for taking us along with you! Only had a few minutes to watch so far, but you did a great job on the video. I'll be back to watch more!
It would be nice if they hosted an online store where I could buy everything featured at the Creativation! I was literally writing a wishlist as I watched the video. 😅I will admit, Spectrum Noir's triblends (not the brush tip ones) are some of the easiest to blend alcohol markers ever! I wish I lived in the UK because their products are much more expensive in the US. Honestly, it seems most art materials are cheaper outside the US... Anyways, I think Arteza is a bit of a outside force since they're whitelabeling products like ZenArt. Which is why they have so many different products and it's kind of a hot mess lmao. Overall, Pentel wins best show of their products, they got a really fun and creative team!
That would be a great idea to get them all available for order. I’ll have to try the spectrum noirs triblends. Yes Pentel was my favorite booth. Pure comedy there. There was even more I didn’t capture on film. 😂
I know! Right? I kept pausing the video and going to Google to search for particular products and buy them. This video killed my bank account I bought so many of the products shown! I would LOVE to go to Creativation! So much inspiration it’s overwealming.
Oh, wow! I was using one of the Sarasa vintage pens when the part of the video that featured them came on. Love those pens so much! They are great for doodling.
@@JennysCrayonCollectionthey were on Amazon. I guess they were imported from Japan. I bought them a couple of years ago. They came in a bundle of 10 colors in two different packs. 😊
Thanks for sharing this! I wish I could have gone to this, it looks so fun! It is like the ultimate candy shop convention for a kid but for an artist! If you like watercolor, you def gotta try Daniel Smith! My main watercolor palette is all Daniel smith, except for 3 colors from W&N. I just recently bought mijello mission gold pure pigment and regular sets and i am almost just as in love with them as my DS.
The horror I felt at the beginning of this video at the Derwent booth, watching you change from one color to another without wiping the waterbrush on a rag or paper towel, and then continue to do that through all those different media pans... 😱🤯🤣
That was an amazing video! It was really interesting to see which brands are made by the same company. I always thought Canson and Strathmore were competitors.
Shinhan is the only alcohol marker that truly matches Copic in quality. But they also match in price, so they're not really an alternative unless you like their colors better. Which I do when it comes to the warm greys and a couple earth colors like Milky White and Sand.
Omg! I saw that you had this new video and I was beaming with joy! I think it was the video you made last year (or the year before that) that made me subscribe to your channel. So many exciting displays. I can hardly wait until I'm able to buy the 150 color set of Derwent Chroma...chromaflow? Now i forgot what they're called, but I've been holding out and waited until they released a bigger set because 72 is just not enough colors for me 😂
I’m so glad you enjoy this! I for sure want to get them too. I saw they were available for about 240 in the UK. I don’t know how much they will be here.
I couldn't find them anywhere online. I read somewhere on reddit that they will be released in the UK in May and the US in June or July? I hope that they will be available in the EU at the same time, otherwise I'll have to pay taxes to import it.
I saw you could pre-order them for April 15 on cult pens. They were 240ish. But their 72 was 120 compared to blick at 62. Twice as much so I’m going to wait probably for Blick even though I don’t want to. And maybe they will be 120-150. I’m hoping they picked them up at the show.
I hear ShinHan products are great, haven't tried them but people really like the markers as an alternative to Ohuhu and I hear the gouache is great. Korean art products will be on par with Japanese ones soon, if they aren't already.
Hi!! I've never seen your channel before!! What a find!! I'm only at the faber castell part..I have a question about the pop up coloring kit...any idea when those will be out or price? I can ask but I think not. At least in the US. I have had luck buying from UK sites that service the us. That’s how I finished my lightfast and Inktense sets.
