Just fyi I have a 3650 behind my 870hp Roush with nitrous and haven’t blown it yet. Stock trans with twin disc on drag radials.
Good information on this video Chris. Let us know when you upload that Mexico footage!
I like my 3650. I haven't missed 3rd gear in a while but I'm bound to again. It is easy to shift.
My 3650 has been good so far
@@Modlife_ I don't beat on mine (not implying that you do) but if you treat the transmission right imho it should last. I don't know much about cars though. I have had no problems with mine but my car only has 33k on it. I used to miss 3rd gear often when I first got it, haven't had that issue in a while but I'm sure it is still there. Just the nature of the thing is all I guess. The transmission provides easy smooth shifting so I'm happy with it.
I usually miss 3rd
Most people destroyed the 3650s thinking they were doing a good thing by putting full synthetic fluid in them when in reality they destroyed them. You’re only supposed to use merc dex III fluid in it. I have a 2005 mustang gt with 102000 miles on it. Trans still shifts smooth even when cold with original clutch.
I wish I could say the same for my 04 Mach 1 TR3650. All was awesome until 1 day I drove it to work transmission working great. Left work about 12 hours later and couldn't get into 3rd gear. Transmission had around a 100k and only had Valvoline Dex/Merc III fluid changed once a year. I've been considering a GT350 5.2 engine swap with a T56 for the Mach. I'm a mechanic for a living and usaully have a hard time convincing myself to work on my own junk so I'm not sure when the swap will happen.
yeah some dumbass put gear oil in mine.

Deadass? I've been through 2 3650s. Between a 02 and 05 mustang! 05 with only 68k miles!
Do you ever go to any car shows
Cause I live not to far from you and would like to see it...
3rd gen coyotef150 motor and 3650 out a s197 what clutch and flywheel to use ?
I've got a 2012 5.0 I bought it with a auto stock in 14. I had ideas to make big power so thats why I got the auto. But now since I had children and a house and stuff I know those big power gains are not in my future anytime soon I've been thinking about swapping a 3650 in my car. My buddy has one built with a gt500 fly wheel brand new clutch car its out of only has like 13k. So this is why I'd be wanting to go to a 5 speed coyote in a mid s197 body style. Just as a Sunday cruiser or a track day car.
T56, don’t waste your time with a 3650
Tremec rates their transmission at a car weight of 5500 lbs so the tr-3650 is 360 ft lbs in a 5500 lb car
And this was off of tremec website
let's see some pulls!
Ive driven with a 3650 and a t45. T45 all the way bro 😂
My car has the tr 3650. It’s clunky with long shifts but it’s a reliable transmission unlike that piece of shit they paired with the coyote engine. I like my clunky 3650
How’s the 3650 holding up now?
Or now? Really like to know haha
Transmission from 01 mustang gt, does it differ from 05 and up ?
Thanks for the video
I am not aware of the differences between both but I am pretty sure they bolt up to a coyote if that’s what you’re asking
@@Modlife_ thanks brother.. thinking to bolt it to coyote engine from F150 in my 69 mustang
No problem! Hoping your swap works out for you
