Probably because there's an actual metal slug game for the DS, Metal Slug 7.
And it's miles better looking and sounding than this.

He had all kinds of games.
Assassin's Creed games, Prince of Persia, Aliens, Contra, to name a few that some believe were not !
And several of those games about taking care of disgusting dogs, farms, and much more!
