  • It's part two of the lunatic brigade in Mad Bull 34. My only piece of helpful advice? Remember to breathe. See more anime goodness at www.benthesage.com/

Easily the strangest part is that the end credits include a special thank you to the New York police department. Somebody actually signed off on this.

This series could actually be an interesting study of how other countries view America, or indeed how one culture's view of another is shaped by the media imported from that culture. Just think about what kind of things this anime says about how Japan views America. Or how we view Japan solely through anime.

Totally could have added a Big Lebowski "What the fuck does anything have to do with Vietnam scene" after what that cop said.

The big guy reminds me of Mike Haggar from Final Fight.

This video is a good time capsule of where internet comedy was in the late 2000s to early 10s. It's still obviously Sage, but what's focused on and the nature of the jokes has really changed.

It's amazing to see how far Sage has matured and progressed since 2014.

I once held the likes of Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell and Paranoia Agent as my favorite anime series, the upper echelon of anime goodness. But now I have bore witness to the true paragon of storytelling, the crowning jewel upon the crown of masterful animation, the sum total of mankind's existence on this planet: Mad Bull 34. A true master work. I am not worthy of it's star-like brilliance. Lone Wolf and Cub is but a mere granule of space dust in Mad Bull 34's universe of awesomeness. Come, my friends, and bask in it's glory so that we may one day hope to match even a quarter of it's beauty.

At least that Green Goblin like villainess was an interesting villain instead of another needs-to-be-shot-on-sight rapist.

Soon-to-be Mayor Mike Haggar didn't take any shit, did he?

The manga is even gorier and takes a bit more time to make "sense" of what's going on

Okay... when he showed the police chief speak for the first time, I legit burst out laughing.

Invasion of the Neptune Men - one of my favorite because of the meltdowns our 3 leads have to go through and the fact there was of all things a "Hitler Exhibit" that just came out of nowhere during the aliens attack.
