Absolutely I think that defines the purpose for both coats. Mackage is paying for name as well but I agree with what you’re saying. Two different cities with the same weather.
Mackage Edward X is where it's at. 1500 for a down jacket of moncler is the same price of Edward x which I would choose way before moncler way more bang for your buck

This just popped up on my timeline so sorry for being late to the party 😂. I don’t own or never worn a Mackage but I do own a Moncler and in my experience with it I have to say that it is way more than a fashion statement. It actually keeps you warm, it is water proof and it’s durable. I have shoveled snow in negative degree temperatures for about 30 minutes and the only thing that got cold were my hands and feet. I’ve gotten caught in the rain many of times and nothing happened to the down or the shell. It is totally worth the almost 2k price tag. As a matter of fact I only wear my Moncler when temperatures drop below freezing. I was also recently in New York and I noticed that A LOT of people had Monclers on and A LOT of those people weren’t necessarily fashionable people, 😂. Great review and keep up the good content. I'm planning to buy a puffer jacket and I can't decide between a Mackage Kent in black vs a Moncler Montbeliard in navy. I love nylon clothing, I have always liked it for several reasons: 1. how bright it is, 2. how comfortable it feels to the touch, 3. maybe the reason why I like it the most: how noisy nylon is when it is rubbed. So since you have tried both brands, I would like to know your opinion and which one would you recommend me to buy knowing this. The impression I have just from seeing them in pics and vids is that the Mackage is the one that has these characteristics, but I still have doubts. Moncler jackets are very shiny but I feel that to the touch it is not as comfortable or noisy as I like. Thanks in advance.
well right off the back i def why it’s difficult to pick which one. both two beautiful coats similar but still very different. Just like you i also enjoy nylon coats however i never tried on the montbeliard to give a fair comparison. but just for the sake of comparing the two i’ve came up with these solutions. 1) pricing - the montbeliard is almost doubled the price of mackage when in reality it’s the same material if it was slightly warmer (which is possible) that’s still not enough for the money if doubled you deserve the best for your buck. 2) styling: i feel as though both colors serve a lot of purpose me personally the moncler looks more distinctive usually you see ecrins or maya so the right ppl who see it will respect it. The buttons nice touch even the color way on zippers is eye catching. But i prefer the mackage look personally it’s simple but just right especially in black i can see it as a everyday coat. (Also depends on what you do in your everyday life for me mackage is more fitting for everyday but that’s def preference) and lastly durability and features. Like i said i don’t have montbeliard but i can only imagine the durability is great. looks like any grease/stain is removable. i’ve heard mackage is easy to remove but i have yet to get a stain on this bright blue coat but that doesn’t mean it can’t. The moncler features are nice but only 1 thing… mackage has hand warmers in the pocket and moncler don’t. again not a big deal but that would’ve took the cake if they did. warranty and moncler don’t get a long i haven’t heard any problems from mackage but i wouldn’t be surprise if they were the same way. So features and warranty and durability i give to moncler. if you are going for soft material bang for your buck and still look nice and fluffy mackage is the winner. if you’re going for a styling eye catching different look also warm and cleaners friendly i’ll say moncler. for me mackage easily gets it but if you get moncler i’ll only be upset bc ar pricing point but i def don’t think it’s a bad investment. hope this answers your question bro. thanks for watching l :)
I have a red Moncler maya and love it. I wanted to get the black Moncler montbeliard but I was thinking it makes no sense to have two the same brand and try something new. Would you recommend the Mackage Kent? I was thinking the one with the fur as well. I feel like Mackage also has gained a big name this last few years
bro i’m wearing the kent right now as we speak and i’m burning up with a white tee on in the car lol. yes mackage is def the coat you might wanna look into. if they had a pink or maybe purple for men i would grab. black would be nice too. the fluffiness is perfect

personally it’s ok. for 650 i would cop a northface supreme collab if there’s one coming & use the money towards that. if you do you have to get the hat. their sweatsuits are pretty cool tho good trap/everyday uniform
I have both several Monclers (among these the Maya which comes closer to the Kent, as it has a removable hood and a good collar) and several Mackage Kent and Kendrick jackets. They are all great in their own way, there is no "winner" to me. When the weather gets bad... then NEITHER of these jackets is my go-to jacket. You are better off in rain with a Bergans Lava down parka then, or a TNF McMurdo parka. Or just take my Arcteryx "Therme parka"!
great comment!! it is definitely preference but all of them are used for a different purpose in glad you feel that way as well but for the video content i just chose which one is acceptable for a cold winter. in harsh weather i bring the big coats out lol these are great for what they are though.
Like most established brands Moncler, Canada Goose, etc they already have a HUGE customer base, so they can raise prices and focus on style rather than functionality.. MACKAGE for me is a WINNER.. Moncler for me is Game Over
@@FreshhCutz I dont hate Moncler tho, not at all, but when it comes to paying for clothing that costs the same as a car, I really want 10/10 or 9/10 at least in terms of EVERYTHING that a jacket is supposed to do.. Good video ! I am fashion designer and I just want to let you know Mackage is warmer because it’s a Canadian ( Montreal) brand and in Canada during winter it’s around -40 however Moncler is not from Canada and the target is more like European or USA countries where is not that cold, all Canadian brands has warm fabric and are very good with technical fabrics as Canadagoose, Kanuk,…and so on.
I appreciate the video bro and u breaking it down I just brought the Aqua blue Mackage And I get compliments everywhere I go it Catch peoples eyes 👀 … moncler is cool But I like the Mackage better

@@FreshhCutz so is that normal cause on my I got a lil stiching poking out from the sleeve not noticeable but it’s there other then that I love the coat
So, after watching the entire video i have couple of comments. First, i think the Moncler is kinda small for you, short sleeves on winter jacket is just weird. Second, mate you will make me spend money on Mackage jacket :) Looks amazing, i was thinking to buy Pyrenex, but now...i'm going with this one. Third, can you tell me where the Mackage is made?
mackage is montreal. the moncler puffer is perfect sizing yes the arms could be a bit longer but it is the correct sizing for the puffer. thank you for your input 🫡
You know your way around jackets and puffets and therefore I'm sorry to ask, maybe I'm off, but aren't you comparing apples and oranges (is this the correct comparison)? Wouldn't another Moncler be a better comparison? Moncler has a variety that no other brand that I know of has. Sorry, just read the headline "MONCLER VS MACKAGE" and acted...Again, love your style and mojo, but still? The "Ecrins, like the "Maya" (I owe several), is just another beautiful, stylish, warm-down jacket that set the trend as you said. But they aren't the ones to compare if you need the warmth you get from the Mackage (I own the Kent myself), this jacket is filled to the brim with down and needs to go up against the top tier of Moncler (YES I KNOW THE PRICE HIKE). The "Chiablese", and "Damavand" would be a better comparison, and the "Mackage" would probably still win. But still, A fear fight would be nice. This is as you probably knew is regarding the Moncler's lacquers. If it's with another material....whooow, Viva la France!!!! Keep on my "Down jacket friend"! Peace! ✌
correct! i love this breakdown many ppl still compare them i think they are both different in their own way. still would like to see the battle of puffers bc why not. first on youtube to do it.

Moncler Never Made The Puffer Jacket Popular, I Don't Know Where You From But In NYC We Was Always Wearing Puffer Jacket From North Face, Marmot , Guess , Etc
you’re right. but moncler restore the feeling & the culture took it in todays time. it’s like MJ wasn’t the first to do pop but when he did it the game was never the same. Moncler got power especially in NY.
I’m clearly not into style enough. When he says he wouldn’t wear it under 33 degrees I was like.. so it’s useless? Then he talked about not wanting to wear it if it’s raining and what not.. and I’m done with that.
Would put on the same outfit you wear on a sunny day in the rain? No. Some coats are for different purposes. Fur coats are wayyyy more & you’re not suppose to wear them in harsh weather too.
@@FreshhCutz I'm not saying different clothes aren't for different conditions. Different conditions, are why I own different coats. I just recognized I'm not into style at the level of this channel, because different conditions are why I buy different coats, as oppose to different styles. For me first comes the phyical abilities of the coat, then how it looks. I would never even consider a hooded bubble coat I can't wear at least down to 32, or single digits with a good sweater, that couldn't also take the elements. My favorite hooded winter coat right now have a form fitted dark brown leather hooded bubble I bought from zara 6 years ago Imagine your bright red one, but dark brown leather. i feel you bro. i love the puffiness on the mackage but you’re not gonna want that everyday so that’s when moncler takes the lead.
How would u recommend cleaning either coats or the mackage ?
I heard with the mackage all you need is a Clorox wipe I don’t know how true that is but I would just recommend cleaners just to be safe.
You look more comfortable in the Mackage. The Japanese latex in the Moncler is great 👍 for looks.
i agree! mackage material is so fire
Since owning your Mackage jacket does it stain easily and if so how do you go about removing the stains?
no stains on either coats. from what i hear stains are easy wipe off on this material but i’m sure the cleaners will do a great job as well.
Like most established brands Moncler, Canada Goose, etc they already have a HUGE customer base, so they can raise prices and focus on style rather than functionality.. MACKAGE for me is a WINNER.. Moncler for me is Game Over
