Encounters with the Sasquatch

  • Large, hairy, bipedal anthropoid beings were described in the ancient legends of the indigenous people of British Columbia long before "Bigfoot" became a phenomenon in popular culture. The Bukwus (male sasquatch in Kwakwaka'wakw) and D'sonoqua (female version) appear in carvings and dance as well as folklore. Native Watchman Tom Sewid talks about his personal encounter with the Bukwus, "The Wild Man of the Woods" , in 1994 while on a fishing boat anchored off of Village Island in the Broughton Archipelago. His encounter is documented in John Bindernagel's book, "North America's Great Ape: the Sasquatch".

.. As a German Biologist... 1974 I was traveling through Sweden. An area of 50 km only wild deep Forest. Curious - I walked into the Wild. I saw 60 centimeter long naked Footprints in the Ground. That was no Human, no Animal. At that time - I knew nothing about Creatures like “Big Foot” - which is the best name... I still sense the Terror in me - and calmly silently I went back to my old VW Bus parked at the lonely dark Road. As a Biologist I Know what I saw - and why not - Bigfoot hiding in deep vast dark forests. I have zero interest encountering one... I hope- no Idiot Hunter will kill one to prove it...

My 2 great grandfather born in 1795 who was Scar face Buffalo hunter. Encountered one while Buffalo hunting. I was born on 1930. I knew both my greatgrandmother and grandmother as a child. Great was born in 1830 and passed in 1938. Grandmother was born in 1870 and passed in 1949. Many stories and history left to me. I have shared some on site, tell my story on how to hunt. You saw one!? Can you please tell me more about what you saw? More indepth/ Im fascinated! ..... I heard 2 last summer in Rogue River Oregon, deep in the mountains not too far uphill from a creek. It scared the heck out of my dog, who feared nothing! They made the wooping sounds. They walked towards our camp, split up and both walked around our camp, one above and one below, and all the while they wooped at eachother, talking, until they finally joined back up at the end of our camp and walked off into the forest, away from our camp, continuing their path, wooping into the night... I didnt know what they were. Thought maybe an owl, but no, the sounds were more like a monkey, a noise that you need lips to make. I thought maybe bob cats, but they usually are stealth and silent, and that noise just didnt sound like a bobcat. I thought coyotes, but theyre usually stealth and wouldve came into our camp to look for food. Until I found this video on youtube a month after I heard those woop noises. Then I heard a video on youtube about men in sierra nevada mountains in the 70s who audio recorded the sounds at their camp deep in the woods. and those noises were EXACTLY THE SAME that i heard last year in oregon. So. just wanted to share that.

After having 2 encounters with the old man of the forest in Colorado, they proved to me they're something real.
First time was at night in Black Forest where I lived,I was 14,sitting out back of our cabin house on a flat cement pump cellar roof we had.
We had a big pasture about 3 acres big cut out of the woods behind the house, about 50 yards wide.
I'm looking at the woods across there, and hear this big cough growl in the dark.
My dogs with me,hears it,freaks out and flies at the back door trying to get inside, winning like crazy.
Then I hear 2 big crackings of a branch, like a big branch getting ripped off a tree, and then broke.
Then an 8 foot long big branch comes flying out of the air and hits besides the cabin.
Bounced all the way to the road 40 feet past the cabin and stops in the road.
My mom comes running out after hearing the branch hit and seeing it fly past the kitchen winows.
    With a load gun.
I'm just like get inside now,get in,there's something out threw that at us.
She and I went and dragged the branch off the road, took both of us to lift it and drag it.
That branch was about 8,10 inches at the base where it was tore out of the tree.
We went the next morning and found the tree just in the woods at the edge of the pasture.
The hole in the tree where the branch was at least 12,13 feet up the tree.
The other half of the branch was laying about 20 feet from the tree, tossed away.
That was no man did that, and the branch, and the tree, stunk where it was broke.
Threw it at least 50 yards at us from the woods, then it bounced about that far too.
The smell at the tree, and the branch reminded me of what gorillas at the zoo smelled like when I went there.
Not like people smell, there's a difference.
Needless to say,I didn't go outside for days.
When I finally did always armed after that.
But after all these years I figure the old man was just having some fun with me his way.
My mom wouldn't talk about it,never did after that next day.

Yes he got experience in these bigfoots. I now understood one thing about bigfoots that the less pissed they are for you the further you are of their territory or the less inside their territory you are. So if you bigfoot snapping in tree. Best thing is turn around and walk back where you came from, so they dont attack, because maybe they do attack, if you get too much inside their territory or piss them off and so they maybe take you. Carry you to the mountains. Brake your neck to kill you like they do to deer and then maybe eat you, like they do to do deer. So you dont want piss them off, because then you will not walk back to tell what you saw or tell why you simply dissapeard just, so you cant capture 10ft giant that is over 10 times stronger, than you and over three times faster you, so you should not try that. I think only option to ever capture bigfoot. Is setting up deer trap for it and then bringing it with helicopter to museum, because his family been wondering where he is, if you try carry it away and so his family might attack you, if you take one bigfoot down.

They'd let me know if they didn't want me in certain areas and they'd surround me and escort me out using mouth pops and tongue clack noises. Rarely would they show all of themselves to me, but I have seen several including a baby/toddler. They scare me to death but I also love them. They're way more intelligent than great apes.

We listened as the sound drew closer. It was a cool October night and windows had fogged up. Suddenly this huge figure appeared next to my door and let out a blood curdling scream. The girl passed out and i decided it was time to leave, I started the truck and threw it in reverse as he yanked open the door. I kept going and got out of there. Took the girl home and called up four of my buddies. We drove back in friends car all with firearms. We drove into the woods and got out. We could hear the creature in the dark. We waited for about an hour and decided he wasn't going to show himself. Got back in the car and it wouldn't start. Had knocked a hole in the gas tank driving in. My friend was a sheet metal specialist and was able to repair the hole but we had to walk out of the woods to get gas. The creature followed us out of the woods. We walked to a farm house and the farmer gave us some gas. Went back put the gas in the car and drove out of the woods. When we reached the road my friend spun the car around and the headlights were on the woods and there stood the creature about 8 or 9 foot tall. He dashed back in the woods but everyone clearly saw him. This happened in Missouri in 1966

I can tell you whatever these things thought they were, my Father 82nd Airborne Paratrooper Bronze Star medal for bravery under enemy fire and rescuing fellow Troopers had decided enough was enough, and kept a rifle and a box of ammo by the kitchen door. I knew that this sasquatch was a type of U.S. primate that we've never discovered because we have so much land, forests, Adirondacks, Appalachia's, mountains where they can hide. They do jump high; they do climb and hang out in trees and can see people coming. But I thought that when they hit the trees it's to let other family know that there are trespassers here, there is food (people) here or I am located up here. So, it is a method of communication.
