So glad to see you in my feed today, this is great! I was fresh out of high school around this time, and I loved going to the magazine store (yes, we had a whole store here in my city devoted to magazines) and coming home to my little apartment with a huge stack of beauty/fashion mags to flip through while I drank Diet Dr. Pepper and listened to riot grrrl and J-Pop bands 💕
Thanks for the flip back in time! I was raising a baby just about this year--no time to watch t.v. or look at magazines. I do remember the fashion and the cigarette ads, though! The black and white ads in the back are also part of a bygone time.
Was this the best era for glossy fashion magazines? Or just past that peak in time, for the beautiful editorials and Lucious cosmetics and other ads. Liz Hurley has such perfect little features that create one of the most beautiful women of the turn of the century. Still lovely and beautiful without surgery it appears. Just stunning then

What a gut punch--an article celebrating a civil right that no longer exists and a layout featuring Ivanka Trump. Yeah, definitely not a super model. Super something else maybe. In my opinion, by 1998 nothing in fashion looks wrong today. Yeah, we have options other than slip dresses, but they still look good. The 90s have aged really well. It was not a decade that presented looks that are difficult to appreciate later.
