50 million dollars? That’s practically slavery - according to Steven Crowder, at least. Crowder recently released a video starting the “Stop Big Con” initiative - accusing conservative media outlets of conspiring to censor conservative values in favor of profit. All of this because the Daily Wire offered him a contract of $50 million to make regular content - with the stipulation of pay cuts if he loses ad revenue. Crowder wasn’t a fan - saying it was a “slave contract.”
The Daily Wire quickly responded with a video - saying that Crowder took much on the contract out of context. And that they were planning on paying him the 50 million over four years and that the stipulations listed were necessary to run a profitable business. They went on to accuse Crowder of expecting millions of dollars in payment even if his show didn’t drive that level of revenue. And a couple big conservative names chimed in against Crowder - like Ben Shapiro and Candace Owens - throwing fuel on the fire of this feud.

Please do your job and mention what Crowders actual point was, and that’s the fact that the contract is stifling to new blood by punishing them when TH-cam decides to retardedly enforce its guidelines and demonetize folks for stupid or fake reasons. Thereby their contract is supporting the BigTech they complain about. Crowder did a good thing here, and he didn’t even call the Daily Wire out; they outed themselves and then he responded with the phone recording.

More about the hard strikes, because it doesn't matter how much they're paying you if they take 75% away because you cover a story that media doesn't like and they try to ban you for it, then DW would take all his money in his contract from him. They are playing with the hand they’re dealt by the liberal platforms until they can make enough money to support their own platforms like DW+ and their kids series that’s in the works. I don’t think there is malicious intent here and for Crowder to call them Big Con and Slave contractors makes it clear he felt attacked in a malicious way. This contract would have Steven sign away his entire brand to DW who would control what he says/does. New and young creators would be forced to give that to DW. Also, on Jeremy's own words, they'd be "wage slaves" and DW would do the punishment for big tech. Why would Steven dull his content just to cater to big tech, who at any moment could ban him. DW would then in turn penalize crowder instead if helping push back against big tech. The problem is that Steven wants to remain authentic and true to the movement, while DW is more about the money and bending the knee slightly for big tech. I have experience in business and have studied it quite thoroughly, Steven's right when he says that DW should switch up their business model so that they're less reliant in big left wing companies.

That's 12.5 million a year with studio space provided and a team of social media. Depending on the source his anual buisness revenue is between 1.2 million and 7.8 million. With most sources claming between 4.7 and 5.2 million. So you want to say 12.5 million is not enough when his current budget is less than half from the average source? Steven crowder rejected the contract because he didn't like the fact he would have to give up control of his social media to people who will defiantly stay within guidelines instead of the stuff he posts now. For example every youtuber knows there are key words that will get you banned from TH-cam. There are youtubers who make up co words like hokie pokie for the needle or the koof instead of what the real name is. Crowder dosent care he knew this and still insisted on calling it the v@× or the name of the illness. Then he got mad at youtube because he intentionally sabotaged himself when he knew the rules. Or example his socialism t-shirt youtube gave him a warning not to post that shirt. What does he do... he intentionally links it to his youtube page and wore it in every video he could. If the daily wire was in control of his page they would definitely censor that kind of stuff and keep his social media clean of it but still have it behind a pay wall. He didn't like that and thought well I can do what I want and if the daily wire looses money because of it then that is there problem not mine.
Let me ask you if you pay for a service such as a contractor and that contractor does the job but intentionally damages other things that were not in the contract should you be held liable to pay out of pocket to fix the damages the contractor you hired did?
