- Damian McKenzie may be small for a professional rugby player (1,77 m and 78kg), but he is a beast with insane rugby skills, tackles, big hits and trys.
He is a New Zealand rugby union player who plays fullback or first-five eighth for The All Blacks and the Chiefs in Super Rugby. He has also played for Waikato in the National Provincial Championship.

Well, he does have a good brain for the game, but his speed & agility is what sets him off most of the time, so I would say thise are physical attributes, just because it not strength

As an (objective) French fan, I can’t understand why he’s not the main AB fullback. Barrett could start at 10 and Mo’unga would be devastating coming off the bench.
DMac is really overlooked for all his talent.
It’s due to the ridiculous talent the Kiwis have at full back. Jordie Barrett is playing some incredible rugby , there is also will Jordan. Beauden isn’t even guaranteed a starting position for the Blues when he returns from Japan. Beauden’s best hope of playing for the All blacks might actually be at 10.
It’s mostly due to injury. He had about a year out with a knee injury which put him out of the World Cup and he lost his all black spot. McKenzie has a great combination with Beauden for the all blacks. ABs were at their best when they were both on the field. Beau and Richie never quite clicked even though they have had a number of tests together. McKenzie should have got more time for the ABs last year after his injury comeback . The chiefs were bad but McKenzies individual form was great.

I'm personally not a big fan of Jordie Barrett. He plays really good rugby in New Zealand but I think he just falls short of what you'd expect from an AB fullback. He doesn't have the same skill and vision of say Ben Smith.

I think they're going to opt for the Beauden/DMac combination again before heading to the World Cup.
Phenomenal player! Massively talented and has serious wheels. Watched him play for the AB's when they played England at Twickenham a few years back and he was a stand out player. Would be great to see him play in the English Premiership one day.

Mckenzies quite a different breed, Wilson was a habana Type player but more of a versatile player, Mckenzies like what Mike jones Sr said, Russell the pocket rocket. Springboks are terrible at utilising their talent, not playing their best players. either due to politics or their height, atleast their rivalry with nz would be more competitive than it is now
