11:00 ... unreal! Simply unreal insight from Jung channeled through Peterson: the self is everything you are across time, but you're only "here" at this point in time. Saul is smart. I think that he just wanted to dabble in shady stuff (smart), then the wrong parts of his life just snowballed on him-- he couldn't just dip his toes in it, as he assumed. It was a tarpit. So smart people seem like morons when their lives are chaotic-- great recent examples: Elon Musk (my god...) and Elizabeth Holmes.
I barely learned about both H3H3 and Jordan Peterson (at separate times of course) like maybe a year or so ago, and seeing both of them together just tickles my brain. I love this.
And now Ethan mocks Jordan any chance he gets. Meanwhile, Jordan says absolutely nothing about Ethan's perspective on things, respects his differing side. Shows a lot about each of them.
If Ethan attempted to read or understand his opponent's perspective so that he could form a credible argument, he wouldn't want to put forth that argument anymore. In my opinion, the things Jordan talks about are what would set Ethan right
So, he's telling us that it's best to explore everything and press "buttons" everywhere to expand yourself and be able to deal with chaos. And then if you can be good for your family and friends and eventually as much people as you can to help them expand so we can all become better and THAT would be. A good antidote for chaos.. This man is the embodyment of God. And I'm Atheist 😂😂 The meaning of life is to challenge yourself and be engaging so you can deal with chaos. To eventually help others deal with it. Lovely. What a good man.
I screenshot your comment to look at every now and then. Even though I learned through Jordan, sometimes it takes another person saying it a different way for it to click. Your summary made it click for me. Thank you.
My takeaway: ride the line between chaos and evil (living in the dao) as a way to improve yourself while staying in your domain and also have a goal, like selling books, but try really hard to distract from the fact that you’re doing that, while at the same time not being ashamed that you’re doing that.
I think a good interview question to people: ‘Explain a time when you had a goal, planned for it, and achieved it’. If the interviewee can explain some details of the plan and their discipline to stick to it, it tells you something about their character. That’s why Google hires some Olympic gold medalists.
This is the best Interview of Dr. Peterson in my opinion till now which I have seen .... It’s because I find it very useful and as if he was talking to me
But then one might argue that gambling is the most meaningful thing you can do, being constantly on the edge between order (winning) and chaos (losing). Since Peterson is not a professional gambler I'd think that this is not the case, but I would love to have someone take this interpretation into consideration and elaborate on it.
Winning because of random chance isn't what I would consider order. Do you consider it orderly to put yourself in a bad situation in hopes of, by random chance, you get by just fine? I'd say your interpretation is off.
I'm depressed to the point where I stay in my room all day, 24/7, for as long as possible. I believe the world is going to judge me, and I'm afraid of that. But, I know I need to be independent, and build my life up so I can conquer that fear of judgement. However, there's a part of my mind that says the opposite, that I'll never get anywhere, I'll fail over and over. I'm so conflicted, that I do nothing, because I don't know which path to go down: to hide from my problems, or confront them. That's what my purpose is, but I don't know how to handle it. I'm unskilled in almost everything, and I've tried to learn skills I'm interested in. But in the process, I realize that's not what I want to do, so I just stop.
Definitely would recommend Peterson’s “Twelve Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos” and really read it with your personal issues in mind. Some recommendations to combat your anxiety: 1.) Have a routine and stick with it. Wake up at the same time and feed yourself. Get consistent sleep! Google Calendars is a really great tool for creating routines. 2.) Drink plenty of water and only drink sugary drinks on occasion. You’ll feel better physically and mentally staying hydrated. If you are able to, physical exercise is an excellent combatant against anxiety because of the chemicals involved with physical work. Having a healthy image of your physical self can greatly increase your confidence and reduce anxiety. 3.) Have clear cut goals that are well articulated. Write them down and think on them often. Make them achievable and have short term and long term goals. 4.) Realize that everything requires risk in life. If you don’t take risks, you won’t move towards your goal and even grow further from them. Put yourself in those situations that you are afraid of and take that risk so your brain can create new places to grow. 5.) Think about the alternative to not trying. You might be afraid to fail so you don’t try, but look at where you’ll be 5 years from now if you never try. Now think about where you could be if you did try. Is it better than where you’d be if you didn’t? 6.) Be determined to do the best at whatever it is you do. Even if you say that you have no skill and you are stuck working at McDonalds, make it the best McDonalds in town. You’ll begin to feel good about the little responsibility you have and it will grow into larger responsibility down the road. Responsibility is liberating. 7.) For sure sit down and think hard about what you want for yourself in the future. What is it that you REALLY want? How do you get there? Dwell on those questions and write down what you are looking for; what is “meaningful” to you. You’ll have a very hard time walking out of your room if you can’t determine why you want to or why you feel like you should.
Trust Jesus Christ He helped me. He died and rose from death. That you may have life. Repent and trust him.Find your local bible based Christian church. I've so far overcome a lot.
Peterson likes to use bible verses occasionally to explain the world, so I'll try to do the same. "If you judge others, you will be judged". Now I believe most people believe that it is God who is the one who would judge you. Fair enough. But I don't think that it's just God that is doing the judging, but it is also you doing the judging of yourself as well. And that makes sense. How you evaluate human beings doesn't just stop with everyone but you, it applies also to you subconsciously at least. Its inescapable. So for the sake of your own health, do you think that the reason you are so worried about the world judging you is because you are equally as judgemental? Because most people dont feel like you, which is in fact a good thing, because it shows that there is a chance that you don't see the world accurately, and that the world might not be as bad as you think it is. Assuming that the world or you is fundamentally flawed so much that it makes things hopeless is extremely self defeating, and how certain are you that either of those negative scenarios are the case?
I Love how when Jordan tries to figure out an answer he looks like he's either a Juggler or an Outfielder in Baseball trying to catch five balls at once. Jordan Peterson is our modern day Shaman of Western Civilization.

Saul goodman is really smart though
Obv not jordan peterson level
???
I barely learned about both H3H3 and Jordan Peterson (at separate times of course) like maybe a year or so ago, and seeing both of them together just tickles my brain. I love this.
This has changed my life thank you
Basically Bros same bro
Listening to him talk is like therapy. His first joe rogan podcast was the best for me actually gave me a feeling of optimism and warmth.
I've learned so much from Dr. Jordan Peterson
13:39 - 15:00
I just realized Jordan perfectly described how video games, especially RPGs, work
Blowing ma mind away
Makes soo much sense
The best metaphor - the skating wow
It's almost like Jordan takes all my inner thoughts and somehow turns them into beautifully crafted statements.
Jordan Peterson is always interesting... and logical.
it is a pleasure to lisen to this man
And now Ethan mocks Jordan any chance he gets. Meanwhile, Jordan says absolutely nothing about Ethan's perspective on things, respects his differing side. Shows a lot about each of them.
Idk what’s going on with Ethan. But there’s something internal with all his attempts at confrontation
If Ethan attempted to read or understand his opponent's perspective so that he could form a credible argument, he wouldn't want to put forth that argument anymore. In my opinion, the things Jordan talks about are what would set Ethan right
like 6:50 is exactly what he needs to hear (again) its actually pretty ironic
Peterson respects nothing but money and far right extremism
This is one of my favourite videos of h3h3. Thanks for uploading this
Jordan Peterson: *breathes*
Ethan: Fascinating
It’s almost impossible to predict where he’s going with his explanations. He teaches every time he speaks, virtually.
I could listen to this guy talk all day. He's got such a good view on life in my opinion.
And I'm Atheist 😂😂
The meaning of life is to challenge yourself and be engaging so you can deal with chaos.
To eventually help others deal with it.
Lovely.
What a good man.
i used to be an atheist too man, but really i was just mad at tools
You don't have to wait to help others eventually. But I agree w/ ya mostly
Hahaha...good comment
Jesus is God in the flesh.
Talk to Him, be blessed.
I screenshot your comment to look at every now and then. Even though I learned through Jordan, sometimes it takes another person saying it a different way for it to click. Your summary made it click for me. Thank you.
The most thing i like about this man is that he gives examples which makes his speach vivid to me
2:32 J.P is Dire Straits Fan confirmed.
I was just thinking the same thing lmfao
Thought the same! haha
It’s because I find it very useful and as if he was talking to me
This guy is one of the most important people in and for the world right now
I swear you could ask Jordan Peterson anything and he would give you a complex/profound answer...
everything he says im just captivated by it all
But then one might argue that gambling is the most meaningful thing you can do, being constantly on the edge between order (winning) and chaos (losing).
I'd say your interpretation is off.
he's the uncle i needed growing up
I'm depressed to the point where I stay in my room all day, 24/7, for as long as possible.
Wow, I just saw a recommendation from Jordan Peterson about "how to stop rotting away at home" on the side of my screen.
What are the odds of that? xD
Definitely would recommend Peterson’s “Twelve Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos” and really read it with your personal issues in mind.
Some recommendations to combat your anxiety:
1.) Have a routine and stick with it.
Maybe watch some of Jim Carey’s recent revelations. His perspective is very helpful.
Beautiful, His Axiom is Art.
"you guys like to have open discussions" -Peterson
oh man this didnt age well.
We really need this guy to come back to us
I Love how when Jordan tries to figure out an answer he looks like he's either a Juggler or an Outfielder in Baseball trying to catch five balls at once.
Jordan Peterson is our modern day Shaman of Western Civilization.
notice how mr.Peterson says "I could come in here and steer the conversation so that it is about my new book", and gets to promote his book without being noticed. He's saying what he is doing. Damn smart guy that is.
Jordan Peterson for president !
Member Berry This man isn't even a US citizen, at least I think he isn't. But, that won't stop me for voting for him!
He's from Canadia
I think this just helped me more than my therapist ever has.
Therapists want to keep you in a mental kennel to feed you prozac.
+XoTiC yah it's mindblowing that the very people within the system that are there to help you, give out these unnatural pills that just dull the senses and prolongs the fuuckin issues
